Breathing for shoulders

Hi Cathe and everyone! This is my first post, so excuse me if I mess it up. My question is about breathing. During weight work I exhale on the exertion part of the movement for every body part except shoulders. For some reason my body wants to inhale on the exertion part of those movements. I'm wondering if this is a bad thing. After all, I'm not holding my breath, I'm just not breathing correctly. I feel as though I'm still getting the full benefit because my shoulder strength and definition are progressing at the same rate as everything else. Somebody please let me know if this is a horribly bad thing to do.

Joey,
You answered your own question. Your results are good and you don't hold your breath so you are fine.
I just read about a study on breathing. We have all been trained to breath out on the exertion, but the study found no benefit to it. Natural breathing is absolutely fine. There's no "correct" way to breath.
