Default Beginner Kickboxing for a Kid?

Hiya Cathe! My six-year-old daughter was taking Karate but we've had to drop her lessons. She misses it but seems to like the idea of kickboxing for exercise so I was wondering what the best basic-ish kickbox workout for a child would be? I mostly do your step & strength stuff but have a few kickbox workouts on the multi-day sets, no idea if they'd be appropriate. By the way, she can't quite keep a beat yet, not sure how important that is for kickboxing.

I'd sure love a response from Cathe but I'd also be interested in everybody else's opinions so anyone feel free to chime in. Thanks!

Default Tae Bo for Kids

We have that Tae Bo for kids workout too. My kids seem to enjoy it... as much as they enjoy any sort of exercise! It's available on Collage Video.

You're fortunate that your daughter is motivated!

Hi Foolofatook! I have to agree that I think a workout geared towards kids would hold your daughters interest more, however, if you would still like her to try one of mine that you have I think the 4DS Kickbox (cardio portion only) is basic enough for her to enjoy. Have fun both of you !

Oh hey, replies! I didn't get any notifications (guess I need to adjust my preferences) so I only just now saw these messages! Thanks everyone for the advice...I'll try the 4DS Kickbox with my daughter and get ahold of Mr. Billy's DVD as well!
