Cathe downloads & kindle fire hd

I know this has been discussed in some other threads but I am totally
confused.... Will Cathe downloads play on a Kindle fire hd????? I have
seen some comments where they will....then they won't.....then they will
but you have to do some sort of converting first.....I just would like to
know if you have the downloads on your computer, can you "drag & drop"
onto the Kindle and will they play? Thanks.

Kindle

I have a Kindle - but its not the HD - its the very first generation kindle. I have the XTrain downloads on my computer and I just drag and drop them on my kindle and they play fine.
