Default One legged sit n stands

I have a question on one legged sit n stands.

I can't do them at all. Not because of knee issues but because of the strength in my legs. When I try to get up from chair I just get stock. How can you built strength to perform them.

Thank you very much.

I can barely clear the chair myself, but I do like this move very much even though it is hard as heck and would love some form pointers too.

I believe that one of Cathe's first CatheTV posts had some pointers on how to do this move... they recommended to start off from a higher seat position so that your fanny is higher than your knees... try stacking more risers under the high step, or add a pillow or something to boost your position on a standard chair... start very shallow in the move and work to improve your strength before lowering the the height

good luck...

BTW, I started doing this move with both legs before attempting the one leg it worked though
