Beef Stew

I am looking for a beef stew recipe that is healthy, made in a crock pot and does not contain any dairy.

Elaine-I could have SWORN I had a recipe for crock pot beef stew, but I've looked high and low and can't find it. It was pretty much the same recipe I use for the stove top, but with just a bit less liquid because the crock pot keeps things moist. I'll keep looking, because now I want to make it! LOL I'll post it if/when I find it!

I just made this this weekend! I have a few recipes. this I made using beef stew meat, and then added carrots, red potatoes and a 1/2 bag of frozen veggies. Oh, I added some beef broth, to give it more liquid too.

To Die For Roast

1 pkg ranch dressing mix
1 pkg brown gravy mix
1 pkg Italian dressing mix
1 beef roast
1/2 cup water (more to cut down the saltiness – Try ¾ cup water)

Cook on low all day

There's also this one. SIMPLE! And you can add veggies as desired. It's VERY good!:

Beef Stew

1 lb sirloin stew beef
1 bag of baby carrots
3 celery stalks, diced
1 can tomato soup
1 C water
1 package beef stew seasoning

Put all in the CrockPot and cook for 8 hours.

Doesn't get much easier than that!

BEEF STEW RECIPE

Here's a crockpot recipe for beef stew that I use:

Stew meat
1 large can gravy (you can use beef, brown or mushroom)
1 small can brown gravy (comes w/onions)

Some raw potatoes cut into chunks w/skin on.

Set crockpot on high and cook for 5 hours.

During the last 10 minutes of cooking - I drain a large can of veggies (mixed, peas & carrots, etc.) and add to crockpot.

I may try the tomato soup one. My DS is allergic to dairy and eggs so I have to be careful with gravies and salad dressing mixes.

Thanks for all the ideas!:D
