Default using other dvd's in STS rotation

I am currently doing the 6month rotation of STS. However, due a previous knee injury (last fall) sometimes doing the lunges or using the paper plates or even walking up a flight of stairs, my right knee hurts. So I listen to my body and try to modify or just dont do them. I can do squats but no lunges. My question is, is it ok to do another leg workout to off set what I cant do?
Foir instance, my last leg workout I didn't do any lunges of any kind and felt as if I wasn't really working my legs, so I decided to do the floor legs only of butts and gutts. Is that ok or am I working too much in one day?
My knee doesnt hurt all the time, in fact last week was the second time in doing the rotation that my knee started to hurt. Thanks, veronica

I say the most important thing is to listen to your body, and it sounds like that is exactly what you are doing. So kudos to you for that. I've been adding an additional leg workout each week to STS, and sometimes (like yesterday), I will do floor work (yesterday was pilates, but it included a long section of side leg lifts, etc) after an STS leg workout. I don't feel like I'm working out my muscles too much, and I'm getting great results in my lower body.

So I think as long as you aren't doing a second heavy standing leg workout on the same day or working out the same muscles on consecutive days, you are probably just fine.

Hope your knee feels better soon!

Thank you for responding. I sort of knew that I was doing okay, but sometimes a person just need a little reassurance. Veronica
