Jean, how did you crockpot spaghetti comeout? I got on that website and their were some good recipes. My sister just told me about "crispy Kale". Anyone try it? I guess you coat the Kale with some olive oil, and then bake it til its crispy. Sprinkle with salt, and it is like chips?! That is what she says!
I just cooked up some beets! takes forever to cook, but so worth it. My daughter and I LOVE them. Makes your pee pink if you eat enough of them!
Betty, so good to hear from you! I know what you mean about having people home crimping your style! by the end of the week I am ready for my schedule to get back!
I hated all those pushups in meso 1 for the same reason, they messed up the rest of my workout because my arms were spent!
I actually have some DOMS from AB yesterday. I think tomorrow I will do either AT or Trisets. I am loving rest week!
Marie, I am with you on the needing to clean up certain aspects of my eating and drinking. Then maybe I would see the results I want. However, you gotta live!! Life is too short to watch every morsel I put in my mouth. Am I right?!
Linda, I had a rowing machine. Paid big bucks for a concept 2. I hated it! I couldn't get my heart rate up enough wtih it. I sold it on Craigslist for what a hundred less then I paid! Psyche!
I slept great last night! I swear, my insomnia has something to do with my cycle. My sleep is the worst 2 weeks before my period. Menapause ought to be a hoot.
Time to play memory game with the kids. My daughter has come in here a zillion times saying, ready? are ya ready? ready now? you already said one more minute like ten minutes ago!!!

Good Evening ladies!!!! I just finished Disc #4. I thought the push ups were going to kill me. But I made it. And now I feel great. Tomorrow Will be Turbo Barre also. Can't wait!!! I love that one.

Betty---I'm glad you are sticking with STS.

Can't stay up too late tonight I have to go to work 1 hour early tomorrow, which means I have to get up even earlier (5 am) so I can do my cardio!!! Which means I will have a very long day tomorrow.

I'm so jealous of you girls getting to do Turbo Barre tomorrow! I stupidly traded this one away when I got the LIS preorder. I tried it once and had trouble with my knees while doing it. After I traded it I realized it's the doing plies on my toes (in releve) that aggravate my knees and I should have tried it at least one more time flat footed. Darn it! Hopefully I can get it back through trading on VF!

Betty I'm so glad your sticking with STS too! Yay! I definitely am feeling stronger with this program. The other thing I notice is that my knees are feeling better since I'm doing less high impact than before. It's hard to get everything in while doing STS 3x week and I try to do at least one LIS workout during the week too. I'm only doing high impact once a week instead of 2 or 3 and I can tell a difference in my joints. To be fair, though, I am a lot smarter about high impact exercise than when I first started! I've got the shock absorbent puzzle mats, the rebounder for really high impact moves and I'm aware of my knee alignment and keeping those knees soft when landing. Whoah- I went off on a tangent there...sorry!

Carolyn- How's your daughter's eye? Is she feeling better? As far as ttotm issues I have noticed mine are much more extreme than when I was younger. I don't know what it is, but my hormones used to be more regulated it seems! I also used to think people used pms as an excuse! I never knew how powerful hormones were until the last 5 years or so!

Missy- good luck tomorrow getting up so early to work out! That does make for a long day when you have to get up earlier than usual. I work out in the morning too but it is sooo not in my nature! I have to get up a good hour before I actually work out just to get the morning fog to lift while I drink coffee and sit on the computer!!

Okay, time to watch Mad Men with hubby!

Good Morning! I got up at 5 am, did my hour of cardio and went off to work. So proud of myself!!!! Looking forward to turbo barre this afternoon. It's the only thing keeping me going this morning. It is so hard to get up an hour earlier than normal.

Headed to the basement in a bit to do Turbo Barre. It's my first time and I can't wait!

Carolyn- That crispy kale sounds amazing! I'll be adding that to my recipes.

I did Athletic Training (leg cardio express premix) this morning. Gotta love those firewalker exercises!! I love STS a lot...but has anyone noticed their cardio capacity decrease since starting it? I haven't had the time to do as much cardio as I used to and I noticed this morning I was really huffing it on the step portion of AT. Part of it may be this darn cold that is just sort of lingering on too. I've been congested for a few weeks now. I sometimes think I may have very mild exercise induced asthma too. I had severe pneumonia when I was about 4 or 5 years old where they hospitalized me for a week...of course that was the 1970's. I think nowadays they just send you home with some antibiotics! Anyway, it's a good thing I never smoked because I've never quite had the lung capacity I always thought I should.

Have fun with Turbo Barre Missy and Marie! I'm jealous!!

Good Evening Ladies. I did not w/o today because my Husband is off and we were running errands all day. Plus he has been on the computer alot so I haven't been able to post. I know what you mean about being lonely Colleen. Some days I feel like that on here myself. It seems like when Carolyn is busy , it is quiet here.
My Speghetti turned out good but it had red pepper flakes in it so it was hot. Those recipes are very time consuming. There is alot of prep work to do. I would rather cook in the morning than the evening though. I wouldn't be doing it if I had to work.
That crispy kale sounds interesting. I think I will try it the next time I buy kale.
I have done Turbo barre one time. It was a w/o that I can get thru. I will do it more after STS.
You ladies are amazing to be getting up early before work and doing your w/o. That is dedication. When I worked , my schedule was 6am to 3pm . I had to get up at 3 am. There was NO TIME to work out.
I don't have any thing planned for tomorrow so I hope to do my w/o plus some form of cardio because I have to keep up with Missy.

Hello!
Sorry, there was no time to post this a.m. I did AT, showered, ate oatmeal, and then shopped ALL day! I met my sister and mom at 10 and didn't pick the kids up til 4:15!!! What a longg day!
Not much time to post. Kids need to do homework and I need to get the meatballs out of the oven.
Colleen, I don't notice any decline in my stamina cardio wise. I wonder if it is your cold??
Marie, what did you think of TB? I only did it once, and wasn't thrilled.

Good evening ladies!!! I just finished turbo Barre! I have been up since 5 am. I am surprised I am still going. But, I am addicted to this forum!!!

Colleen---Have you taken anything for your cold? I work at an internal medicine practice, and everybody is getting that cold/congestion bug. It seems to be getting better here in south georgia. It was so bad in December and January the pharmacies were running out of antibiotics. And yes, it seems that everyone gets a sniffle and thinks they need antbiotics. I try to stay away from them, so when I really need them they will work!!!

Jean----Get a good nights rest so we can get up early and do our cardio.

Marie---How did you like Turbo barre? I really like it, but I end up feeling like I still need to do some cardio to burn some additional calories. But, I am still trying to lose a few more pounds??? If I was just maintaining, I think it would be amazing on its own!!!

Tomorrow, is just a normal day for me. Up at 6 am and on the treadmill and then off to work.
