Good Evening once again....I finished my workout and I am fatigued to the max!!!
Betty---I have taken many zumba classes over the last 5 years. I only enjoy the ones that are high intensity. Alot of the "newer" zumba instructors are just.....not very motivating, overwweight, and doesn't know what high intensity is. So, when my "Nicole" comes to town I always go to her class. I just adore her style!!! I did try the DVD's several years ago, and I didn't really like them because you are all alone and Zumba is much more fun in a group setting. I just love my Cathe workouts though. Since I have been working out with Cathe, I can tell a huge difference in my cardio/ strength output in my workouts! I amaze myself sometimes....than I reliaze I have Cathe to thank!!!! And also, all my friends here on the forum. You girls keep me motivated. Thanks!!!!!!! ![]() Okay, off to bed......Chat tomorrow. Good night! |

Missy- I did HD volume 2 yesterday but haven't done the volume 4 yet. My abs and back have DOMS today! Yay! I recommend trying a few but they are definitely harder than they look
! I did get some wrist strain from so much plank work so I need to figure out a way to use my push up bars more as they help to keep the wrist vertical and wrist fatigue to a minimum. I use those a lot for burpees, mountain climbers, push ups, dragging and walking planks. I think next time I do volume 2 I might do the slide back and side lunges without the step...it seemed like I had some knee strain on the step. It could have been my form was off though.you guys aren't going to believe this...I've been on the computer typing so much this past year that it's finally catching up with me! My little pinky finger on my left hand is hurting...some sort of repetive stress strain I think...so I'm typing and trying not to use it. Not easy! I'm gonna get going now but I'll be back later for more!![]()

Good morning!
This morning I did the upper body premix from Muscle Endurance. I have not been doing endurance lifting lately so that was tough but good. I was trying to stick with the LIS rotation but it only has TBT for weights and even though that one is great, I felt like I needed a little change. STS is the only rotation I ever stuck with, and that was because every workout was different. Marie, I also love Fage yogurt, better than Ciobani. I did a live Zumba class once, but I felt like I was flopping around alot and not getting a good workout. It seems like its great for getting people up and moving though, and I agree, a great instructor makes all the difference. Betty, I have never done Pinterest but I've read about it and it sounds addicting. I don't want to get hooked on another online activity! Another beautiful day today, hoping to get some outside activities in. I try to get my younger daughters to go on walks with me, but they get so cranky about it that it spoils it for me. Maybe I can get them to go on a bike ride. Have a great day! |

I just finished 60 minutes on the elliptical!!!
Colleen---Sounds like you got a good workout. I am going to invest in one to see if I like it. (Horizontal conditioning) hehehe ![]() Mary---Like I said I have done many many zumba classes, but only a several instructors were good. The class is the instructor. Most of the instructors in this area are fat, and they can't even get never high intensity. I go to classes for a workout not to look at myself in the mirror. I want to sweat....that is the reason I always workout at home. I always give it my all, and Cathe always leaves me drenched in sweat!!!! Nothing better than Cathe and my friends here. ![]() Gotta run....the hubby is hungry!!! BBL!! |

Betty- I don't have pinterest but all my friends are trying to convince me to sign up. Between the forums and facebook I think I'm good though. Talk to ya all later! Off to get my workout on

What is pinterest? I don't need another reason to be on the computer!
Marie, how was the wedding? What did you wear? Missy, how is the horse's foot? Mary, how did the basketball tournament go? Our baseball one starts on Monday. I hope we lose so we are out. Bring on summer!!Jean, hope your weekend went well with your mom and sis. Colleen, I wondered how all those exercises done on all fours would treat the wrists. Great for the core though! Who cares if your hands are crippled as long as you have a six pack! Just kidding of course!!!! ![]() We visited the grandmother today. It made her so happy to see the kids. She has been there a month now and this is the first time we brought them. It was such a grogeous day that we were able to push her out in the courtyard. Other than that the rooms are teeny and they have a two to a room. I think we brought her lots of happiness. I wish I could have brought everyone outside wtih us. Such a sad place. No workout so far. I really feel butt DOMS from yesterday. Love it! It is really hard to eat good with the kids home. they love snack out by the pool. A nice Twisted Tea and some Sun Chips sound grand don't cha think?! Good Evening! Just finished baking some cookies for my hubby!!! I did cheat and have one though....but, I am going to work it off!!!
Carolyn---My horses foot is getting better. Yesterday she could not put any weight on it and she was in alot of pain. All we could do is give her (butapaste) "pain pill--like aspirin" and rub jelly on her joints. But, this morning she was trying to put pressure on it and this affternoon she is walking on it. She still has a little swelling, but doing 95% better. Thanks for asking. I will say this, be lucky your children can speak. I love my animals, but it is a thousand times more stressful when they get sick because they can't tell you what is wrong. I am not saying having kids is not stressful, but they can tell you there tummy hurts, or I fell and now my ankle hurts......with the horses, it is a guessing game!!! It will cause you to have gray hair. But, I love them!!!! Marie---Could you see you baby bump in your dress at the wedding? I bet you were so cute!!! Keep up those workouts!!! You are amazing, being preg and continueing with the workouts. Okay, gotta run. I have a cookie to burn off!!! ![]() |

Thanks guys! The wedding was fun! I wore a black and white dress with red open toed shoes. The dress was a nice thin material but still hot....it was about 88 degrees! You could see my baby bump which was fun! I wanted to get a picture of Tony and I all dressed up since it doesn't happen too often but we forgot. A few other girls at the wedding were pregnant too
One of the bridesmaid had to be almost ready to go. It was so great to see my friend walk down the aisle. She looked amazing! Good food too and the cake was to die for. Just got home from Tony's mom's house. Now just hanging out for the night. Tony is at band for the night so I think I'll watch some chic show on Hulu. Carolyn- Not exactly sure what pinterest is but I know you find certain things to pin on your wall and then others can go and look at them. Things like recipes, decorating ideas and such. Talk to ya all later ![]() |

Hey all,
Today was amazing, weather-wise. I'm such a wuss that there usually are about a handful of Goldilocks-just-right summer days where I'll go outside and do extended yardwork. It can't be too hot, too humid, nor too mosquitoey! Today was perfect, so I was outdoors for hours weeding. Feels sooo good to have it done. There were some spreading perennials that I don't like and have been meaning to pull out for years! How often do you fertilize your veggie gardens? My stuff is puny. Carolyn, I used to wish for rainouts during my kids' baseball season. ![]() Just told my kids yesterday never to send us to a nursing home. We want to die at home. It's really depressing in them, and the neglect is awful. No one will take care of you like your own family (you hope anyway). We got in a half hour family walk--it was like pulling teeth to get my boys to go. ![]() Colleen, that's odd that the repetitive strain isn't making your other fingers hurt. Difficult to type without pinky, although hubby types practically everything with his 2 index fingers. Have a great week! Talk to you tomorrow. Must look into rotations. |
