Good morning!

Looks like we will have a gorgeous day here! My shoulders are a little sore this morning from Boot Camp yesterday, so I decided to do Buts & Guts. Yowza! I could not make it through all of the floor work, my legs just gave out. And the DOMS are starting already, I hope I can walk later. I don't know how Cathe does it.

After I did boot camp yesterday I was looking through her rotations to see the kind of workouts she did the day after boot camp. In one rotation she had boot camp twice in the same day, doing one right after the other. Crazy woman!

Colleen, glad you are feeling better, and I hope the rest of your family stays healthy too. I think Horizontal conditioning is a funny name for a workout.

We have the last basketball tournament this weekend, but it means spending both afternoons in Boston indoors. Oh well.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning all!
Yesterday was a very busy day. I felt like I was in the car all day! Not very knee friendly! I find it very uncomfortable to have my leg in that position. I honestly wonder if it is something totally separate from my knee issue. I feel like it has to do with my varicose vein. I think I will be calling the dr about that next! Im falling apart! lol
My daugther was at a laser tag party last night. I stayed of course. I don't know how people can just drop and leave. There were 16 kids to keep track of. Someone easlily could've walked off with one of them. The place had loads of games in the front and then the kids went in the back into this dark maze like room. Naturally I went in too! She wasn't about to go in with out me. Kinda scary for kids that young I think. Our plan was to leave there at 8:30 and fly to my sons second baseball game of the night. The party went until 9!!! She is usually in bed by 8! when we were headed down 95 it started raining and there were these HUGE bolts of lightning in the distance. It was scary! Needless to say, the game was cancelled in the 3rd inning. Now it is being replayed tomorrow at noon. We were going to have a game free weekend until now! the weather is supposed to be gorgeous both days!
I am digesting an egg sandwich adn then I am going to attempt some sort of workout. I did a modified version of CCC yesterday. Good thing for the LIS because I was able to change a lot of the stuff to low impact. Today my upper back muscles and my lower abdomen are super sore! Me likey!!
I think I will do my last 2 arm workouts of STS this weekend, and then start a new approach next week. I have got to get rid of this inner thigh fat!! Any suggestions? That bathing suit I ordered from Athleta is going back. It totally made my thighs look grotesque. Very sad. It frustrates me so! I work so hard and I feel like it doesn't look like it. My upper body has really come along but my lower is so darn stubborn. I swear I could starve myself and I would still be left with inner thigh fat!
Enough moaning and groaning!

Marie, Hope you find a dress to show off your bump! My sister was prego at my wedding. I always remember how many years that I have been married by knowing my nephews age! My hair is super staight too. i don't even own a curling iron, because A: I am a no fuss girl. and B: my hair would never hold a curl more than 5 mins!

Colleen, glad you kicked that bugs butt! What the heck is horizontal conditioning? Does it take two?! lol!! just kidding! BTW my son has a dimple on his chin. Just like daddy!

Betty, that is so awesome that your son is still doing STS!! 3 weeks in already?! wow. time flies! He will be all buffed out to go back to school next year! Now I forget, is this the younger son? Must be if he is living home.

My hubby has a few dumbells in his office at work. He does that and pushups. About a year ago we had some good friends over. My friend commented on how he looked and asked if he had started working out. To my surprise he said YES! I was like, wha???? When???? Where??? He had bought the dumbells and started lifting at work. Yet never told me! I was wicked hurt! I think he was more hurt that my friend noticed his buffness and I did not! He said that he started doing it to work off steam from all the work stress. At any rate, I am glad he is doing it. I just wish that he would get some cardio.

Ok. I think I have posted enough! Sorry for the novels. I thought breaking it into two would be better than one giant one! Makes for an easier read!

Just finishing up my Fage Greek yogurt with strawberry. If you haven't tried those I highly recommend them...YUM! I used to be obsessed with Chobani but I like these even more

Next up is 4DS premix Double Cardio. That's the one with both the cardios from the step routines. Should be a fun one

Curling my hair last night was a disaster. Like you Carolyn, my hair does not hold a curl. It did not look curly in the least, but I think it did give my normally thin, stringy hair more body so I'll be attempting it again today.

Should be a nice day for the wedding...maybe a bit too hot for my liking at 97 degrees...YIKES...but still looking forward to it

Have a good Sat everyone To the basement I go.....

Good girl Marie!! I just got back from the basement. I did Burn&Build! That is the best cardio workout! I think that is what I need. I can not wait for the new workouts to come out!!! I love cardio mixed with weights. I was in really great shape when I used to do the Firm workouts long ago. I actually had wash board abs! Granted, I was in my twenties!!! Something about doing weights with the cardio makes me really sweat! I have decided I am not happy unless I sweat!

Get this! Remember how I got Drill Max on Ebay? Well I have not gotten it yet!!! I paid for it on May23!!! I emailed the person and had no response. I even opened a case with Ebay so I can my money back. It is weird because the other dvds that the person was selling at the same time, were sent out because the people left positive feedback! I kinda wonder if something happened to the person. We had even had a couple emails back and forth about Cathe. Very strange.

Ok. Gotta get these kids outside!!

I'm gonna have to look into this Build&Burn. I too love to do cardio and weight together.

Very odd about Drill Max. Seems like you should have gotten it by now.

Double Cardio rocked! Great sweat and a fun workout!

Off to shower and get ready for the wedding

Yay Burn and Build! I'm planning on doing that one tomorrow! ITA about cardio with weights. I love it! It totally rocks as a way to get your heartrate way up and all sweaty without tons and tons of high impact. That's so funny you guys teasing about Horizontal Conditioning! It totally sounds dirty, no? Hehehehe Okay, I swear I'm not trying to enable but here's the link so you guys know what I'm talking about...Total Fitness DVDs - Your Total Source for Fitness I bought Volume 2 and 4 and did #2 today. It's all about planks and core work with a little lower body and cardio sprinkled in. Did I mention a lot of plank work??? When I previewed the discs they didn't look nearly as hard as it actually was! Lordy! I had to follow the modifier, take breaks (which pretty much involved falling to the floor!) and my lower back was screaming trying to hold the plank stuff for so long! No injury as I feel fine now but holy crap! I didn't really expect to sweat but there it was, dripping down my forehead.

Carolyn- I sure hope everything okay with that lady. That is very odd if she was getting positive reviews for everything else and yet is not responding to your emails. Okay, I'm going to share a story which may sound really depressing and morbid but reading that reminded me of it and it so freaked me out when it happened. This was several years ago now. I had seen this one contact lens patient for an eye exam. He was super nice, young and charming. I had him scheduled for his follow up in one week to check the contacts. Well, the follow up appointment came and he no showed. I thought, that's weird, he didn't strike me as the type to just no show. Well, a day or so later we found out he had died in a car accident the day before the appointment. It was so chilling. It really makes you realize how quickly life can change...just in an instant. I try to remember that now and appreciate every moment, every second.

Okay...on that upbeat note I have to get going! TTYL girls!

oooooh that volume 2 looks killer. Thanks a lot Colleen!!! Holy planks! that reminds me....my upper back is so sore today. I realized that it was from the planks in TBT upper body. The ones where you are in a plank and have a weight in one hand and do tricep kickbacks. I had forgotten how awesome that dvd is! I want to start doing it regularly. I really feel like mixing it up. I am afraid to say it...my knee feels fab. shhhhh. not another word! I don't want to jinx it.

very sad story about your client. I have to try and put that stuff out of my mind. I could easily be sucked into being overcome by worry. I am borderline psycho already.

k. better get a wiggle on. We are planting the garden and I am on the computer!!!!!!!! Came in for a quick hard boiled egg and water.

Good Evening ladies!!!!

Okay, so I went to Zumba this morning since my favorite insutructor was here. She comes to my town every other saturday. So, I enjoy going to her class. She always gives us a killer workout!!! I am always drenched in sweat after the hour!!!

I am still extremely sore from Disc#1 (scott abel) Tonight I am doing Disc#2 (scott abel). Looking forward to it!!!

Carolyn---I am glad your knee is feeling a little better!

Colleen----OMG!!
Horizontal Conditioning - Sandra Koulourides ----Now I want them all!!!! They look awesome!!! Thanks, now I need to spend some money!!!!

I have been very busy today, my horse has hurt here foot, so I have been nursing her. She seems to be doing a little better, but in alot of pain. SO, every few hours I go to the barn. Give med, rub green jelly(absorbine) on joints. Just trying to help her feel better.

Off to workout...BBL!!!!

Hey ladies,

Great long posts to read! Yay, I love it when there's lots!

Colleen, that's really sobering and so sad about your patient. Reminds you to live life to the fullest, right?

My practically-19-yr-old is the one doing STS. He's home for the summer. I literally came up with the idea after he came home. I thought it ingenious! Thank goodness he's trying it! (Both of my kids don't want to move much! The electronics are too huge a draw! Keep your kids away!)

Missy, the 2009 dvd version of Zumba is so much fun. Remember when they showed the Big L contestants going to the Zumba class? It looked pretty dull in there! Your class sounds motivating. I've never seen a live one.

Hmm, Scott Abel, Horizontal Conditioning, etc! Stop it! I want to get B&B but I'll wait a while, till after I'm at least familiar with Cathe's dvds again! Not to mention the new ones!

Carolyn, the anti-inflammatory has already kicked in! That was quite a story about your husband (I thought you were going to say he was fibbing, plus I'd be hurt too) and the dvd lady!

I feel the same about the unsightly bulges. It must be because I don't eat clean. I have lost weight over last year, so I don't get it. So I reason that I work out hard and I shouldn't sabotage by eating poorly, but then, on the other hand, you only live once--I want to enjoy my sweets! You know, picture: one good me with halo on my shoulder, one bad me with pitchfork on the other shoulder, constantly bickering.

It's amazing you guys can describe Cathe's workouts to a T. I guess I don't exercise often enough! I didn't even know of the existence of the 4DS double cardio. Must look into it. I've always found Higher Intensity Step in that workout waaay too dancy for me, and I usually give up in frustration before I complete it. OMG, I just realized I could try it on Monday!

Marie, Fage is delish. I was buying it at Costco until they stopped carrying it. Now I just get the Trader Joe's one. For some reason, even though I cut out dairy for a while, I stuck with greek yogurt because of the protein content. I am now back using milk for my cafe mocha. All those milk subs just don't have protein. Waaah! Soy is too estrogenic for me to drink daily.

A dimple on their chins and cheeks?! How can I get one?? They're irresistible.

Anyone use pinterest? What's it all about? Not that I need another online time hog.

Happy rest of weekend!
