Happy Mother's Day everyone!
I can't believe I am in my last week of STS! I did disc 34 - Chest & Back this morning. Who would have thought going back to 8 reps would be such a challenge! But I did it. I am going to miss STS when its all done and I'm already wondering what I will do after. I've never done rotations before but during STS found that I really like the structure of it. I'll have to do something with LIS, I really miss those. Waiting for my girls to make me pancakes this morning. I'm hoping they'll go for a walk with me later, and I promised to take my oldest out driving to practice parallel parking. She's getting ready for her license test. I agree about buying fitness equipment, we all need things to look forward to, and its such a healthy investment. Have a great day everyone! |

Happy Mother's Day Ladies. It is such a beautiful day today. Perfect for family events. I am debating on doing cardio but I am really not in the mood.
Mary I know you are excited to be finishing up STS. It is wierd when you are done because you have done a regimented rotation for 3 months and now you wonder what should I do today. Maybe you would enjoy that STS/LIS rotation. I hope Everyone enjoys "their" day. Jean |

Good Morning ladies! Happy Mothers Day to all!
Jean---please be careful with your shoulder!!! I hurt mine several months ago too....I thought it was all better, I worked it really hard yesterday and today my bad (left) shoulder is very sore/painful. I just iced it. So, just start out with light weights and work your way up. I hope it gets better quick!!! ![]() Well, I am off to cook some lunch! BBL!!! Have a lovely day! |

Happy Mother's Day, ladies!
Weather is indeed gorgeous! I'm very grateful that it's not overly warm already, given the mild winter. Big L watchers, I'm all caught up, thanks! Ugh, what a horrible season that was. Kim should have won, but she would have had to be an anorexic weight to do that. Oh well. So many of them are still so overweight. What an absolutely unlikeable season! Going back a ways now, to your posts about the agony of the monthly horribles, has anyone considered IUDs or birth control pills? Those control cramps and regulate bleeding. I know that often people can't tolerate bcp, but when you can, it's the best. The IUD has a far smaller dosage of hormones, and it doesn't have the need-to-remember-to-take factor. Carolyn, Cuda is sooo adorable! I want him! Only that small though! Why can't someone breed a dog that retains the puppy face forever? Btw, did you already take down the pic of hubby and kids? I can't find it.![]() Marie, what a wonderful pic of you! I too pictured you with short hair, for some reason. Hope you had a good outcome for the place you're desiring. Add me to that OCD, danger-around-every corner bandwagon. It's a total mental drag. Mary, congrats on almost finishing STS! The light at the end of the tunnel. Wow! Jean, congrats on completing Drill Max. Way to go! I am liking it less and less--too much high impact! You gals make me want the Paul Katami workout! Stop it! Adding that on would just mean even less time for Cathe! And I still don't have the high step topper.Colleen, congrats on the Turbo Tower! Yay! What happened to Eva and Marilyn? We miss you! We MUST have the longest thread, ever! Have a great day and week! |

Happy Mother's Day everyone! I had a day filled with too much food. A group of ten of us went to brunch and then headed to Grandma and Grandpas for dessert. We all hung outside by the lake. Very relaxing. Headed home now. Thinking a movie is in order.

Happy Mother's Day ladies!
Today I got breakfast in bed! Mark and I always do that for each other for Mother and Father's day. Dylan wrote another card for me that Mark helped to dictate. It went "we love mom because..." and then you open the card and it was all "because she takes care of us and washes our dirty clothes and cleans our house"...and it goes on like that and then at the very end it says "and Dad says she's a hottie!". lol It was so funny to see the words written in Dylan's handwriting!![]() ![]() I went to visit my 94 year old grandma with my mom and dad and sisters today too. She's in a nursing home and just hates it so much. I feel so bad for her. She's hanging in there pretty good, though. She's pretty with it for the most part and loved having company. Then I took my mom and dad out for dinner and just got home. Tomorrow I won't get to post at all since I have to leave at 5:30 am for the Twin Cities and my day long CE. Ugh. It's going to be such a long day! ![]() Today I did Athletic Step! I almost have most of the choreography. I did slip and fall at one point, though. I was okay but I twisted my foot a bit. It feels fine now but I was bummed out. I stopped for several minutes to ice my foot just in case and my heart rate came down. I finished the workout but was disappointed. It almost made me want to do it again just so I could do it all the way through without messing up! I think I need to concentrate on one step workout at a time and get it down before trying one of the other ones I've acquired. Athletic Step has thrown down the gauntlet and I intend to beat that sucker!![]() Have a great night ladies! ETA: Oh, and we made plans for Disney in Orlando the week of Fourth of July! Yipee! We found a house to rent on vrbo.com that was super cheap and also has a screened in pool, just 15 minutes from Disney. Can't wait!

Good Morning ladies! I once again stayed up late last night so I am dragging my butt this morning. I was able to do 45 minutes of cardio this morning. Looks like I will be pulling a longer workout this evening.
I was extremely bad yesterday. I have figured out that when I eat sweets in the early morning my entire day is crap. I ate all day yesterday. So, today I am trying to be extra good!!!! This is my last week of Meso 1. I am going to continue, but go extra careful with my left shoulder. It is feeling 80% better today. Gotta go....BBL!!!! ![]() |

Good day, ladies. Where is everyone!?
Colleen, congrats on Disney! Your kids will have a blast. Too bad you didn't go ?last year, which seems to be around the ?same exact time as the Road Trip? It's going to be hot!!! And pricey in the park! I went the same exact week 9 years ago. What a funny story of your Mother's Day card! So darling! Wait, which Paul Katami were you enabling? I have B&B and BC on my list. ![]() This morning I re-started Meso 3. Was feeling a bit weak today after 2 weeks of no workouts. Threw in Ab Circuits Wts & Plates for good measure.Say, can I sub Legs & Glutes or something for Plyo Legs? Knowing what's coming ahead, I really dread it! I almost don't feel like doing Meso 3! ![]() On the veggie garden front, I planted my puny tomato and kale seedlings outdoors yesterday. Don't really have any vegetable gardening experience, but when I bought tomato seedlings at the farm a year ago, they were way bigger! Is the only difference applying a ton of fertilizer? ![]() Missy, I can't believe you've already harvested veggies! That's such an alien concept here, up north, so early. Have a great day, everyone! |

Good Afternoon Ladies. It is rainy here today and tomorrow. I think we need atleast 5 inches of rain to catch up. My grass seed is growing so I am happy.
Today I did Body Blast Supersets. She did some different Bicep exercises. I liked it. The leg sections weren't too bad. Colleen That Mothers Day card sounds so cute. Your husband sounds like he really Loves you. That is wonderful. That is too bad about your fall. That is why I don't do step. I really do not feel comfortable on a step. I hope you are alright. Missy I hope your shoulder is doing better. I am just doing light weights on the shoulder exercises. Today there was no pain at all. Take it easy . Betty Don't give up on Meso 3. As you get into it , you will be amazed at the amount of weight you are lifting. I Love Meso 3. Jean |

On the topic of protein powder again, why would one take different kinds of it? Colleen, the link you passed along is of a plant protein one, which I really like, but then I wonder, would I need whey, hemp, etc? (My spirulina, which I haven't tried yet, has microscopic amounts of protein.) What's the diff?
Incidentally, going back to a really old post of yours, Colleen, I never wear contacts on a plane because I fear they'd pop right out from dryness. I really, really want to though, but I can tell my hands and lips dry up as a flight progresses, then think there's no way for my contacts to be comfortable. I've also experienced bad contact discomfort post-flight, after wearing glasses on the plane. And the very idea of touching my eyes in a plane, well, you get the idea: germs lurking! Can you say OCD!? Hope you're enjoying your CE day. Jean, Supersets is fun, fun. ![]() Carolyn, what's up, girlfriend? |
