What I did today was do Disc one STS, then the abs circuit, and then the extended stretch. So that was a 50 minute workout, then 19 minutes of abs, and then 15 minute (guessing) stretch. Doing the last two did lengthen the workout quite a bit which can be hard for folks who have a tight schedule. |

Mar, To change your weight amt go to workout manager , Calendar. You should have todays w/o on your calendar. To the right side it says "show details". Click on that. A little ways down you will see "edit workout". Click on that. That will bring up the entire w/o you did today. You will see a spot that says weight amt and reps. Fill those out with the weight you used and the reps you did . Even if you did the exercise 3 times , you have to fill in all the blanks. Then at the bottom click save when you are done. Let us know if you have any problems. You did quite the w/o today. When I first did STS , I would do the stretch everyday. Then I quit after a few weeks. I love that stretch at the end though. I have never heard of Big 5. How much did you pay for your plates there? Did you do pushups today?
Betty I can't say enough how I love the double wave load. Carolyn that is exciting about the kids bathroom. Are they getting an all new bathroom? Tub , cabinets , toilet? We got a dual flush toilet a few years ago. That is the nicest toilet if anyone is looking to buy a new one. Jean |

Jean, the tub is staying. There isn't a thing wrong with it. The toilet was grotesque! 17 yrs old so you can just imagine. 10 of which a little boy has been using it! lol! Our friend who is doing the work made the vanity cabinet. I ordered a granite top with a sunk in sink. The floor is being tiled also. I bought a funky shower curtain years ago. It has lime green and turquoise hibiscus flowers on it with some other designs. So...going with that color scheme...the walls will be lime green, the floor a neurtal beige color, the sink and toilet are white, and the beadboard cabinet is painted turquoise! I will post pics if I can get any good ones. I take a bath every night so I am really missing the use of it tonight! Our bathroom off our beddroom only has a shower stall.
Betty, I feel the same way about my arms. They look killer while I am working out. but when not in use, they look normal. As for my diet, I know it could be better. However, I can't deprive myself of treats. Life is too short! I never heard of big 5 either. What type of store is it? I am determined to get some abs so Mar, I could use your encouragement on that. Do you work yours every day? I used to do The Firm 5 Day Ab tape. If they made that, I don't see why you can't work them daily, right? Colleen, poor grandma!! My husband had that last summer. Scary times. He was in SEVERE pain! Luckily he did not require surgery. It seemed crazy to us because he eats super healthy. At the time we were eating loads of tomatoes and cukes out of the garden. Seeds?? They say that they aren't even sure that is the culprit anymore. Now he doesn't eat anything with seeds, out of fear. How are you suppose to get the fiber without the veggies?! Insane. Any hoo...time for family. We are addicted to the game of Life! |

Hey everyone-
Just a quick check-in today. I'm working on the chemical dependency unit today and it's crazy busy. Had to take a quick 5 min to say hello to my STS buddies though. I did HiiT 30/30 today. I felt really good during it. My Dr said I cpuld workout at the intensity I had been before getting pregnant. She did although want me to stop lifting really heavy weights. I have a friend who is due around the same time as me and before getting pregnant had worked out just as hard as I did and her Dr told her she couldn't do any jumping moves. When you gals were pregnant did you workout at the same intensity as you had been? Any modifications? I don't know why but I feel like I shouldn't be working out super hard or something. Help! |

Just a quick check in to say I ordered Drill Max as the Deal of the Day. What a coincidence that we were just talking about it yesterday. I only have 2 more items on my wish list which are "Slow and Heavy" and "Supersets & Push Pull". Cathe has 4 more days to offer them as the Deal. I sure hope she does. I have purchased alot of stuff thru this month.
Carolyn you are going to be cleaning the new bathroom alot. It is so nice to have a new bathroom and you will work hard to keep it that way. I hope you can get some pix of it. I imagine it looking so good. I am a bath person also. BBL Jean |

Hi Everyone,
I did Disc 20 Legs last night, and it felt good, I was able to do all my weights. I am wondering why I have so much trouble with the Chest discs, I think I must be using my shoulder muscles too much. I would love to have Cathe correct my form. And I've been able to do cardio and abs on my off days. I feel much more like myself when I can keep up with my cardio. Carolyn, I would love to see pics of your bathroom. We are planning to redo the kids bathroom soon and I'm looking for ideas. Our house was built in the 70s so that blue tub, blue toilet and blue sink are all going. I love Drill Max too, and those deals of the day are really good deals. I have been resisting only because I already have so many workouts I can't squeeze them all in. I may get Slow and Heavy if that comes on, only because it is so different. I had recorded it when it was on Fit TV but I don't have a vcr anymore! Colleen, did you watch Mad Men? I was only able to watch the first 30 minutes, I'm hoping I can watch the rest tonight. I liked it so far. Can't believe he married his secretary after all! |

Hey girls!
Marie I'm afraid I'm not much help since, when I was pregnant, I hadn't been working out much! I used to work out in college and then from about age 28 to 37 I was really inconsistent and around the time I was having my kids I pretty much didn't work out at all! I was pretty out of shape...not really heavy or anything but not fit at all! I bet my first delivery would have been much easier if I had been. I was in labor for 12 hours with my son and the poor kid (and me!) had crowned and was stuck there for 3 hours! I was so exhausted trying to push I was begging for an episiotomy! Stupid midwife held out! When I finally got one, it was all over in seconds! Not a big fan of midwives after that! lolMaryk we haven't watched Mad Men yet. Got it DVR'd. We were going to watch it last night but I was so tired from not being able to fall asleep Sunday night that I went to bed right after the kids! At 8:00 ! We'll probably watch it tonight. ![]() Jean you're going to love Drill Max! I can't believe she had it as the daily deal! She must've been reading our thread! It is a long workout but there are premixes. I usually try to do the whole thing though so I save that one for Sunday's when I have lots of time. There is plenty of impact. It's funny it doesn't bother my knees. I do modify when needed although for some reason I went for it on Sunday and actually did some of the really high stuff. There is one part where she incorporates a little tuck jump and I usually either modify or take those to the rebounder but I did it on Sunday! I've learned a lot over the past few years about how to keep my knees happy. I really credit the hydraplenish but I also feel the cushy puzzle mats I got made a HUGE difference. They really absorb the impact. Also I've really learned how to keep the knees "soft" when I land. I am careful to not do high impact more than twice a week too. Everything adds up to make a difference! It was a total learning curve for me!Carolyn your bathrooms and kitchen sound so nice! We so need to redo both of those in our house! Our kitchen cabinets look so bad and there are a few that don't even match! ![]() Better go get that workout in! ![]() Later girls!

Mary, the house I grew up in had a "blue" bathroom and the good ole "harvest gold" bathroom! I am sure the people who bought the house have changed out those toilets, tubs and sinks!
I totally feel the chest exercises in my shoulders too. Are we not putting our hands out wide enough?? Jean, have you had to pay shipping each time you buy a dvd on the daily deal? Cathe should have offered a one time flat fee for the whole month. I would have been tempted to buy stuff if she did it that way. I hate to pay shipping. It really adds up. Marie, I would say that you are fine to work out at the same intensity you were. I wouldn't do anything that makes you really gasping for air! I was doing The Firm workouts during my first pregnancy. I did tone it town a bit once I was preggo because I had had several miscarriages. I know it had nothing to do with my activity, but I was a tad freaked to do too much. Like I said, I think you are fine, just make sure you are getting plenty of oxygen to that bambino! ![]() It is so cold and windy out today!! In the twenties! Definitely an inside workout today. I think I will give Les Mills another whirl. Today is a Leg day for me. |

Thanks Jean, I got the actual weight numbers changed for yesterday. It seemed some of the numbers weren't sticking but now they are. Plus my calories burned were showing for the stretch and ab workout but not the strength workout but now I have that working right.
I don't know how much my plates cost because my husband had been searching Walmart and other places in town for plates 5 lbs and below, for me. (He was doing this on his own and hadn't told me). Big 5 was the only place he could find them. He was really happy he could find some for me (I was too) so when we picked them up, I didn't even think to question the price, even though I'd been pricing them online. Anyway, I have them now and will get to start using them for my workout tomorrow, rather than waiting for someone else to get them in or having to order them online. You mean, did I do the 23,681,006 in in Disc 1? Yeah, I did them but I did all of them from the knees. I haven't done pushups in a long while so it will be a long time until I can do them from the toes. I'd made up my mind not to let that bother me and just do them from my knees. I know that 3 months from now, I'll be a lot stronger and will be able to do them a lot better. BTW, I don't want it to sound like I could ever do very many pushups from my toes. I never really pushed myself in that area and this time I'm going to try get stronger pushup-wise.I hurt my knee last year and was doing PT for it but then I actually tore my metatarsal and had to have surgery. The entire time my knee was hurt, I couldn't do pushups from my toes or knees because it aggravated the injury (a lot). I'm sore today in the abs and upper body. No injury type pain at all, just the good kind of sore from working out properly. ![]() |

Well I started my new rotation today. My w/o today was disc. 16. That was fun but exhausting. I was able to lift heavier weight than when i was doing Meso 2. That made me happy. Tomorrow is legs. YUCK.
Carolyn I am paying $4.95 s/h per disc. I hate that also. I NEVER pay s/h on any of my purchases. But the sales are good so I want to take advantage. I really have a nice collection now. If she doesn't put my other 2 on the deal , then on the 31st. i will order both and get 20% off. We had our bathroom done 2 years ago. The tub and sink were gray. We got a liner put over the tub and everything else is new. Everything in my bathroom matches my kitchen. It looks real nice. I got quartz countertops because I am not into sealing things . Mar I can only do the pushups from my knees also but atleast I was able to do as many as Cathe. That to me is an accomplishment. Congrats on finishing Disc. 1. When you get to Meso 2 , there are only a few days that you do pushups. So hang in there. Do you have something to do the pull ups or will you use a band? Jean |
