URGENT for August Road Trippers

Hey August Trippers!

Folks, it is coming to our attention that a few of you haven't booked a hotel room yet, and unfortunately our hotels are completely sold out now. (Y'all, this is why we've been shamelessly bugging you since Day One to book early, book early, book early -- I know we sounded like nags, but we knew that August is high tourist season for the Philly/shore area.) I don't mean at ALL for that last comment to sound like another nag -- seriously -- I just want y'all to make a note of this for future RT's, okay?

So we're asking for your help, ladies and gents. We really don't want anyone to have to cancel because of a hotel room! Are any of you who are staying at the hotels open to the possibility of a roommate?? If so, would you please post here or PM me ASAP, and we'll put you together with our stranded Trippers.

In the event that we aren't able to find any roommate situations, we have identified a few available rooms (available for the moment, anyhow) at what looks like a clean and decent Days Inn that's about 13 miles (15 - 20 minutes) from Cathe's gym. We haven't SEEN this hotel so we cannot 100% vouch for it, but it's reasonably located and, well, has rooms right now:

This will probably end up being our "backup hotel" for a few of you, and we can put you in touch with each other so that you can share a rental car. We'll make sure you know where you're going, too.

There is a bed and breakfast in G- boro called "The Founders Inn." It is about 5 mins from the gym and very nice. (It is used for business people, and parent visitors to Rowan University.) Good Luck.

Sheila, I have a room to myself right now. If you'd like to split a room (and have your own bed!), let me know. I will warn you, I'm a night owl by nature! My room is at the Fairfield for Fri and Sat.

You'll have a blast at the RT! I went to the one in '05, and it was an amazing experience

Hi - When you check for reservations, please make sure to specify you are there for the Cathe Road Trip. They hold rooms specifically for road trippers and will not give them away. Web sites like Travelocity and Hotels.com will also show the hotels as sold out.
