Prizes??

What where some of the prizes people one??? Also did they give any hints on when STS will be finished?

During the July RT they gave away some items of Cathe's new fitness line. Gloves, Stability balls, 5lb hand weights, weighted vest, bands, etc..They really didn't indicate when STS would be done but given the fact that the presale ends next week, I would say its not far off..

Sherry (my new friend, and RT tablemate) won the weighted vest. I was so happy for her! She also won a 2 lb ball from the trivia contest, and a 2 lb ball for being one of the newlyweds on the RT. Her luggage increased by 14#s!! But I think she was happy about it.

I won a pretty black and purple 4# med ball with Cathe's logo on it. Unfortunately, with all my flight delays and cancellations (I was supposed to get home Sunday evening and got home early Tuesday morning!!), I had to go through security about 12x's and EVERY time I was pulled out of line, patted down, and my bag was searched and swabbed as the med ball looked like a "bomb" in the x-ray machine. Finally, I was forced to throw it away. Oh well, I have memories of the trip that will last me forever.

As for STS, I asked Chris about it's timeline and he said the end is in sight but it's too early to tell when the end will be here. He said it would be sometime this year, but with all the music (and the STS music we were fortunate enough to hear is AWESOME, by the way!) being specially composed for this series, it will take a bit. But after that it's just a matter of authoring and duplicating. I think it will be well worth the wait.

That is terrible that they made you throw away the med ball. I had a similar problem with the 5 lb weights that I won. They searched all my bags and had 4 different security people come in to the little room I had to go to and they all scanned the weights looking for a bomb or something. They then told me the weight limit was under 5 lbs. each and I couldn't take them. I was going to split the set and give one to my friends to carry but they finally said I could go with them. I guess they saw I was on the verge of tears.

I emailed Kathy Shaprio when I got home to let her know for the August RT that certaiin things were getting flagged at security. She said they would have shipped me another set had they been confiscated so I bet if you contqact Cathe or SNM and tell them what happened to you they will ship you another one.

Thanks for the sympathy, Carolyn.

I know it's due to not yet being caught up on sleep, but this morning I did the Power Hour ab routine and I thought about doing that ab section while holding the pretty black and purple Cathe med ball I had to throw out and I started to get a little teary.

Oh well, I have the memory of winning it, and all the great memories from the RT.

It sucks that they made you throw away the med ball. I wonder if the weighted vest made it through airport security OK? Hope so, though I could see how someone looking at it in an X-ray machine could mistake it for a vest rigged up with explosives.

I won a lovely Cathe baby-doll T-shirt -- right before the weighted vest was given away. Drat! But the T-shirt is cute.

That totally stinks that you had to leave your med ball behind

I won the 5 pound ankle weights (during the drawing Saturday night) and the 3 pound hand weights right before that (I was fortunate enough to be sitting at the table with Tracy and Allison during the trivia game!!). I didn't have any problems because I put one set of weights in my husband's luggage and one set in mine (we checked our luggage in), so everything was okay! I only wish I could have won that weighted vest (my name was 2 or 3 before Sherry's!). I'm anxious to hear if she had any problems going through security!
