Default Is it hard to see Cathe during class?

I was looking at the pics posted in the forum and noticed cathe is in the front row facing a mirror. the room looks packed, so is it hard to see and follow along with her??
are the slots first come first served or do they assign you a step or have you line up?

im just worried it will be hard to get in a good workout if you struggle to see Cathe leading the group.

well, she does have a microphone and she did only basic moves in our step class so there was nothing new to learn.

Yes, it is first come first serve, and I got almost in front so I am not sure how it was in back.

That was something I was concerned about as well when I first signed up. We went for the Fri ste class & did get in the back & I admit it was hard to see her. If I looked in one of the side mirrors I could see her good. I also followed Tracey Stahle who was in good view.
The other classes I did manage to get more towards the front but if you can't see just follow someone closer.
As a "newbie" this year I can tell that didn't matter. I had a great time!!

thank you everyone. i figured it'd be hard to see her. and it will be hard to get near the front i'm sure, as everyone will probably stampede on in and try to get a spot! LOL. I just hope this pregnant lady doesnt get run over

I cant wait to go.

Just saw this message and I'd thought I'd chime in too.

I was concerned about the "visibility" factor when considering whether I would make the investment to travel and see Cathe, after all, the main purpose for me was to experience Cathe live during a workout.

I was assured that in the past there was no problem with getting up close. But I have to say that it was very difficult to get up close this road trip. In fact, the first step class that everyone participated in, I was halfway up to her left and I still could not see or hear her properly. (That's not to diminish the thrill of the experience but it's only fair to warn you that you have to work at getting up close).

The second class was a split class (50 RTers at a time) and Cathe was completely interactive with the group, moving around the room, very verbal, throwing up high fives to us individually, so it was just perfect!

The large class on Saturady afternoon was similar to the am step class....difficult to get a front spot.

On Sunday morning, a few of us RTers who had rental cars got smart and arrived well in advance of the shuttle bus so we got up close and personal. Even then, I wanted to offer someone my front row spot after 20 minutes of being next to Cathe just so someone had the opportunity to experience her up close.

Her kickbox class was a dream come true!!! Especially when the entire crew joined in!!!

X

I had a pretty tough time. I'm 5'3" & I never made it early enough to be in the front section of the room. Plus she's very hard to hear over the music. I ended up following along w/someone close to me who was tall enough to see what Cathe was doing.

But the moves were familiar enough that I worked up a real sweat. Plus, getting in a good workout isn't really what the RT is about. Meeting Cathe & all her rabid fans, taking a live class w/her, eating a lot & being generally silly is what the RT is about.

You can go back to killing yourself when the RT is over.

That's so true. Getting in a killer workout is NOT what the RT is about at all--and I had to keep reminding myself of that! (Of course, you still do get the crapped kicked out of you by our lovely Cathe--don't get me wrong!!)

All of the moves she teaches at the RT are moves you've done before. Just listen and watch others around you if you can't see her. I never had a problem seeing her, though. It was awesome!

Hey Jilly!
Thank you so much! I had the best time EVER! I'm suffering from serious post-RT depression right now, though. Ugh. Gets me every time.

Tracey said you're going to the August RT! I hope you have a GREAT time! Nice to hear from ya!

Thanks! It's my first RT ever and I am sooooo excited!!! You're so funny - I know from reading your posts after last year's RT that you get very emotional. But think of how much fun you had!

Maybe you and some other July RTers could start a post-RT support group.
