6/8/09 Update from your Coordinators

Hi 2009 Trippers!!

Did ya think we fell in? Betcha did!

We know we've been quiet, but don't think for one minute that this means we haven't been working sneakily behind the scenes with Cathe and her staff to plan a fantastic Road Trip for you all this year!!!

As we usually do, the three of us have been kinda taking turns during these last weeks of spring going off on our family vacations and trips and taking care of other commitments. We have learned from experience (this is our 4th year as your Coordinators) that it's best if we try to all be around for that last hectic (but fun!) month of pre-RT planning. Our comings and goings are winding down now (sob sob -- I wanna go back to the beach! ) so you can pretty much count on us being around full-force for you in the coming weeks.

As we count our way down to the moment when we all zip up our suitcases and leave for NJ, we will be checking in and posting on this Forum a lot, so please post your questions and look for new info from us here regularly.

You'll also be hearing from us via e-mail. We have an e-mail address for each of you (the one you entered when you registered for the RT) and during the week of June 15th (not this week, NEXT week) we will be sending each of you a test e-mail to make sure your e-mail address is "good to go." We will let you know in a post here that we have sent that test e-mail, so you'll know when to look for it and when to alert us if you don't get it. This is, repeat, going to happen NEXT week.

We are going to strive to e-mail you far less often than we have done in prior years. The feedback from other RT's has shown us that you sometimes felt swamped with too MUCH correspondence from us, and we certainly felt that there were inefficiencies in the way we distributed important info to you. Thus, one of the many things that we've been working on is revamping the way we communicate with you. Some of our ideas are still percolating and some may not even get airborne for this year's RT and may have to be perfected for future RTs. (We are ambitious in what we're trying to develop!) I know that's cryptic, kids, but I am sworn to secrecy and I can't say anything more just yet or a barbell might fall out of the sky and whack me on the head. For now, please know that we will get every single bit of information you need into your hands well ahead of time, and we'll do that, we hope, in a way that feels less overwhelming to all you sweetie pies!

So rest easy, Trippers. The cooks are in the kitchen and the meal is gonna be a good one!!!

Jodelle, I feel like I've already met you. I had a dream the other night and you were the star. Everyone showed up at the RT in those "funky feet" shoes but you. I can't remember the details but you thought it was hilarious.

Should I be embarrassed that I'm dreaming about this now?

Don't be embarrassed, I too wanted to make sure that I met Jodelle at the RT to pick her brain about Yoga.
There are so many interesting people here that I feel I kinda "know" already. Silly but true and Fun.

I am wondering the same thing....will you be asking us for a pic and all our info?? It takes me some time to remember all my stuff!!!
