RE: Xers Wishful

Hi all,

I slept until 7 and it felt great. Today will be the legs and cardio I didn't do yesterday and some yoga. I'll officially start week 9 tomorrow. I still don't have all of my strength back from being sick, but I'm going to continue anyway. I want to get this overwith.

Traci - Wendell still hasn't hung those mirrors? Our kitchen faucet has been leaking for months, but in the last couple of days it has gotten to be a run almost instead of a leak. Well, I finally just cut the water off under the sink because we're on a well and it was a lot. It pissed Dh off, I don't know why, but he went out last night and got the part and fixed the sink. If the mirrors were at my house, I'd make sure DH was around, and try to hang them myself. It'd be instant success, because of course he'd jump in to do it because in his mind there is no way I could do it myself, at least the right way according to him.

Jeanette - Sounds like you had a really nice day yesterday. When I was sick a massage sure sounded good to my achey muscles. I'm getting my hair done on Monday. I sure would like to do something different, but I'm such a chicken.

Kim - Sorry you are still under the weather.

Hi to all who follow,

Tracy

RE: Xers Wishful

Good morning,

Traci....1:30am isn't up "early"; it's up "in the middle of the night"! I honestly don't know how you do it. If making Wendell brew a fresh pot of coffee for himself when he eventually wakes up is what you consider "revenge' behaviour, then we need to talk. Here's an idea: why not buy him his own coffee pot, then you can each have a fresh pot brewed whenever you wake up? That instant stuff has got to be nasty. I would like to get some writing done this weekend, but I won't have time. We've got our Saturday activities until 2pm today, then may be having a visit from a friend & kids for the rest of the day. We may be taking the kids skating on the pond at the park, and they'll probably stay for dinner. On Sunday we have a birthday party for a friend's son at West Edmonton Mall's underground sea caverns. On Monday (a holiday in Alberta: "Family Day"), we're supposed to go skiing with the same friends, if the weather holds up.

Tracy....I'm sure you've cooked up something gruesome for your legs today :) I had to laugh at your talk of hanging the mirrors yourself. It's funny 'cause it's true.

Oh look at the time. I'd better get lunches packed and breakfasts prepared. I'm going to do HSTA this morning, I think. I was going to do BM2, but I've done enough long cardio this week. HSTA is an old favourite that I haven't done in a dog's age.

I'll try to come back tonight and catch up with everyone. Maybe DH and I will get to watch a movie; I can pull a Jeanette and talk with ya'll then.

Cheers,
Sandra

RE: Xers Wishful

Good Morning Ladies,

Woke up around 4 and forced myself back to sleep. Kept tossing and turning, but managed to sleep until 7:00.

I was a piggy yesterday. I was hungry all day long despite drinking tons of water. Ate dinner leftovers, fast food (won't say), a piece of each of the kids' Valentine chocolates, some chocolate covered pretzels, graham crackers, Little Debbie snack cake, Rice Krispy treats, orange (gotta have something healthy)... I ate so much, I made myself sick by evening! Maybe, there's a tape worm in there? I wasn't craving anything sweet.... just easy access type foods. I need healthier snacks in the house. Any suggestions?

My back and abs are a little sore this AM. I was happy as all get out when I realized it was yoga day!!! Perhaps, I'll tackle Shiva? I haven't decided which cardio to choose with which to warm up my body... how do you like me not ending with a preposition. LOLOL I'm easily amused.

Traci: What is up with your world?!?! I can usually force myself back to sleep unless I have to use the bathroom. UGH! OMW! I just read your devilish self! :7 :7 :7 Wait!!! Why am I laughing at you while I'm heating up water for instant coffee! I'm surprised the aroma of fresh brewed coffee didn't wake him up! Speaking of coffee! Now, you just wait a minute. Let me defend myself. Phil bought me the coffee maker. I NEVER used it. I allowed him to make me a pot of coffee to try and break my DDCoffee addition. So, I'm blaming him!:p To tell you the truth, I can't recall the last time I brewed coffee!!! I couldn't brew any yesterday because I couldn't find any coffee filters after I washed, vinegar cleaned, rinsed, rinsed, and washed the coffee maker. Such is my life of domestic bliss.;) I vote for B&G. }( }( }(

Tracy: I don't blame you for wanting to get this rotation over and out of your way. I'm glad you are holding off on starting week 9 for another day. It's nice to be able to finish strong and without injury. You're the one who kept me off the injury list during my X rotation. Now, you just stay off it yourself!!! That's an order!:)

Sandra: HSTA... I hear good reviews about it. Yet another one I don't think I own. I have the high step dvd that came with my step. Is that the same one? I don't think it is.

Okay, I best throw away the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition AKA porn that came in the mail the other day. Before you think I'm a prude, I did ask Phil if he was interested in seeing it. Of course, he had no choice but to say NO WAY!!!! He's no dummy! He's knows I'm feeling fat and PMSing!!!}(

BBS to continue with yesterday's personals.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

RE: Xers Wishful

Phil finally made it back from buying coffee filters. I think I'll catch up on personals while the coffee is brewing. Can't work out without some decent caffine.

Jeanette: I'm not that impressed with the Krups FND1 espresso machine. It's steam powered... meaning it has about 1 to 3 bars of pressure compared to the 15+ bars of pressure that a most espresso machines have. The lower pressure results in an espresso that tastes like strong, bitter coffee. I told Phil if he likes that taste, lets return this espresso machine and buy a french press instead! I think we should invest in either a Nespresso or 2nd hand Rancilio Silvia. Both are astronomically expensive, but are in the mid-range for an espresso machine. From researching both, they both have their positives and negatives. You have to use the Nespresso coffee pods instead of any ground coffee beans. However, it's easy to use for a first timer. It takes some practice to brew a good shot with the Silvia... more trial and error. Also, many recommend grinding your own beans... meaning you'd have to invest in an expensive grinder. So, it looks like I'm going to root for the Nespresso if we decide to upgrade.

Okay, this will have to be all the personals I can do for the moment. Duties call.

BBL,
Wendy

RE: Xers Wishful

Morning Xers,

Round 3/Phase 3/Week 11/Day 1
Workout: Chest & Back / Ab work / some type of 30 min KB workout

I just got may lazy butt out of bed, and decided to send this before DH started working on getting the new computer up and running. Yes we finally got a new one, but Sandra it isn't a Mac. :) Will be nice to have a larger monitor.

Still need to get my coffee, and some breakfast then I will get my workout in. Of course I will give myself an hour or so. We are going out to a bday party tonight, so I still need to get a gift card for the young lady too.

I made some Portobella Mushroom Burgers last night and they where really good. :9 Of course I was the only one that ate them, so I still have one to eat next week. :9

Traci, Instant coffee. :D I don't think I could take my revenge that far. :D I like AB Normal for the little ladies. :D I will be getting my hair done again days before I leave for the retreat. I usually get it colored every 7 weeks, and the day just happened to land on the 3rd. So I changed it to Tuesday before we leave.

Tracy, I slept in a little this morning too. DH took the dog for a walk this morning, so I could sleep. Now that is a present I like. Had to LOL how you got DH to fix the sink. We are on a well also, so I know why you did cut the water off. Our pump would be on and off through the day/night. Sometimes the DD forget to stop the water to the hose outside, and I know this as soon as the pump turns on. :D

Wendy, Sorry to here that the PMS brought on the eating. x( I have been resisting, but I know how hard that is. I only had some goldfish crackers. I had that munchie bug too.

Sandra, I agree with you 1:30 is the middle of the night. :D I have a hard time when I am woken up at 4am, and have to function during the day. :D

Jeanette, Sounds like you had a great day, and your DH is so thoughtful. :) I also was the only person at the salon. It was nice and relaxing. And I think that is why she gave me the hand pamper too.

Kim, Take care of yourself, sounds like you are one busy lady.

Debra, I will be so happy not to wear a winter jacket. :D You know that is what I'm looking forward to the most. I might even be able to wear a skirt. Now watch out white legs!!! :7 :7 :7 Oh the joys of winter.

Nicole, Glad you enjoy the plus workouts. I'm looking forward to starting a rotation. :D Glad the snow has left your area.

I smell some coffee brewing, so I'm heading downstairs to have some breakfast.

Have a great day!

Laurie

RE: Xers Wishful

Just finished breakfast, going to do Pyramid Lower Body today. Giving my food a chance to settle and let DH watch some of the news. I'll be back later.

Jeanette

RE: Xers Wishful

Client suffieciently fried in the lower body- she was a bad bad girl and missed a day of training this week so I threw in Pre-Exhaust sets on EVERYTHING! }(

OK- I decided on my workouts for today....
Leg Press Mania + HIIT (on my own w/ plyo drills) .... Like Netta- I gotta wait a few minutes for M2 to digest.... Guess What....MIRRORS are currently getting hung!!! ZIPPITY do da!

Back to chat later....

RE: Xers Wishful

Hi all!!! Just popping on to say hello before DD and I head out to get something to eat...I had to see XDH this morning on the webcam....ugh...and then he sent me a nasty email about our settlement after that...WTF???? Does he not have anyone else to bug over the weekend?? He needs to get a life! Anyhoo, I took the high ground and did not respond to his snottiness...and instead sent an email to my attorney asking her to tell his attorney not to contact me regarding our settlement....I am happy to communicate regarding DD...but nothing else. So with all of that pent up frustration I cleaned out the litter box and then vacuumed and then cleaned the diva's bathroom....which is where Polly had all of her recent unpleasantness since that is where she sleeps at night...and the diva...what a mess she is....I have never seen toothpaste in so many odd places before!! Anyway...that is all done and tidy. Polly is on the mend...she must have eaten something that triggered her food allergies....but she is feeling better today. I am thinking I am going to do yoga today....probably Bryan...either tone or sweat...we'll see once I get some food in me!

Back later to catch up with personals a bit. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far...and Traci...go take a nap!!!!!!

Total Body Plus

They're gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Ok, I will miss them a little but for now I am so excited to not have to worry about cleaning and cooking:)

I have to go workout before I decide to make it an unscheduled rest day. I am down two more pounds this week for a total of 6:) I am resolved to stick with it. I may fudge a bit and have Chinese for dinner but I'm nervous about the salt. DH doesn't eat Chinese so the only chance I get is when he's out of town.

Off to tone my butt:p

See you soon,

Nicole

Bring it!!!

RE: Xers Wishful

Hi all,
DH is off to Walmart to pick up some ice melt for a patch that is particularly bad on the driveway, though they are saying it will be near 60 degrees this weekend. I did Pyramid Lower Body this morning, with some interruptions but a good workout. I'm not entirely keen on doing the step ups with the 35# barbell but did okay anyway. I could take out some of the risers and just bend my other leg more. That might make me feel safer. I have housecleaning to do this morning as my sister and BIL will be here tomorrow.

Traci, sorry about the interrupted sleep. You know, you reminded me that I get interrupted almost every night too. I get this choking, dry feeling in my throat almost every night. I used to have these dreams that I'd swallowed a straight pin, or my retainer or whatever. All from that dry feeling in my throat. I have to get up and drink some water too to get rid of the feeling. Wonder what's up with that. Poor, poor Wendell with his few hour old coffee. Actually, if I don't finish the pot that day, I'll reheat it the next day. I do draw the line at going one more day. I'll have to try to get that internet connection following your instructions. I took my laptop to Reno, but could only read the emails that had already been sent to me. I then switched to Cass's laptop to read the forums. Her jewelry is beautiful. We signed up to take an upcoming class together. It would be fun. I started dabbling with different stones on her beadboard and it was fun. All I need is one more hobby and DH will think I'm certifiably loco. The massage didn't hurt. I did want a firm one, but not to the point of pain and the masseuse definitely did not to hurt me. The scapula is feeling great this morning. Didn't hurt to get some circulation to the area I'm sure. She also applied some kind of oil for circulation too. This sister that's coming is NOT the same one that is checking in with me. This one lives about an hour and a half from here (Quincy, CA) and is the baby of the family. Love spending time with her too. Just got a call from my other local sister and she was wondering if I could sit with Grandma next Saturday night and all day Sunday as Mom and Dad will be going down to Santa Maria, CA for an anniversary for a cousin or friend or something. I'll be glad to help out. She will sit with Grandma on Friday and Saturday. As long as I know ahead of time, I can usually plan stuff and get it all in. Glad you are getting those mirrors hung!!!

Tracy, good move on shutting off the water. I would probably have to do the same thing. I have a squealing dryer that only started doing that about 2 years ago. No fixxie yet. I may have to call the repairman, or at least tell DH I'm calling one in. Hope you are feeling better today and back to your old self by next week. I can't remember, how is your hair styled now? Long, short? I've always had short hair. Guess it looks best on my face, though I have really healthy hair that might look nice long. It's that in-between stage and the heaviness of my hair that would sag the direction everything else is headed LOL!

Wendy, what, no coffee filters in the house? Those would even come before running out of toilet paper!!! Yikes, you are making me scared! I started brewing Starbuck's Verona and really like it. I make it a little stronger and it tastes good. We are having a houseful (or going to Mom and Dad's) tomorrow night and I will definitely bring some good coffee to go along with the dessert. Not sure what I'm concocting yet. Of course Phil doesn't want to see a SI swimsuit issue. Just like my DH doesn't want to either. Now if it's left out on the break room table at work, that's something different I'm sure. Thanks for the headsup on the Krups espresso machine. Think I'll wait. I'd rather get something that works well, but then again, I'm kind of a cheapo too. What are pods? Are they pre

Sandra, isn't Traci silly about her "revenge" against Wendell? You need to steer her in the right direction. Something really evil like having the toilet paper come off the roll in a different direction. That'll really get to him. You are so busy today. I need to get started before DH gets home from Walmart and figures out I did no housework once the pickup left the driveway and jumped on here instead. I'm keeping my ear peeled :7. HSTA is one that I don't own. I do have HSC that is nice for a change of pace.

Will be back for more personals.

Jeanette

RE: Xers Wishful

Hi all,

I finally decided on making LM into a circuit, so I could get a little cardio and some weights. It was a nice workout and I'll do some yoga later. I spent most of the morning cleaning because I hadn't cleaned in a couple of weeks and then I had one of those OMG moments and decided I'd better do something. I least I got up most of the dust upstairs.

Jeanette - I have hair below my shoulders and I think it's pulling everything south. I probably need at least some bangs or something to break everything up. It's just so easy to pull back when it is all one length. I wish I had the guts to go short.

Nicole- Great job on the weight. I wouldn't touch Chinese with a 10 foot pole just because of the salt Maybe you can make your own?

Off to shower.

Tracy

RE: Xers Wishful

I'm housecleaning still, have the dusting to do, then the front bathroom to clean, laundry to fold, bed to change. After that, got to decide which dessert to make and head to town for ingredients. DH is irritating me as he's not working as hard as I am. You know, misery loves company. I keep coming up with little honey-dos for him and he hates that. Too bad. I don't want these little things getting in the way of having fun this spring/summer. He needs to replace a facia board on the front of the house and by golly, I'm going to hound him until he does. You know, behind every good man is a woman kicking and screaming and pushing him every step of the way. Well, I'm sure not all men are like that, by mine is not the home busy body kind. He's more like Pa Kettle and sadly, I'm a lot like Ma Kettle (without the chickens in the house) for a good part of the time. Right now, I'm listening the the dryer squeaking so loud you can't hear yourself typing.

Wendy Giggleberry, is an espresso machine something you would leave out on your counter or is it a real space hog? Keep me posted.

Laurie, is the new computer up and running? Does it have Vista on it? I really like this so far. Like day and night compared to Windows ME, but I'm adjusting okay. Do the hands still feel nice? My legs are oh so white too. Not fortunate to live in Texas where every day is like Club Med weather wise.

Traci, are the mirrors up yet? I'd love to have mirrors, but sometimes I just look at my reflection on the glass of the entertainment center. Of course, the tatto...um, cellulite doesn't show so much either:p .

Debra, you just reminded me I need to clean the litter box too. I gave away the computer in that room to my brother so I hardly ever go in there. Oh my, it's probably quite full!!! Sorry about the nastiness with your XDH today. Glad Polly is doing better. I found out that my ex-neighbors live in the country somewhere around Greensboro, but their DD lives in your town! Isn't that amazing? I will definitely be calling them and seeing them for a short visit during the retreat.

Nicole, awesome on the weight loss. Like Tracy, I would steer clear of Chinese food due to the water weight gain afterwards, unless you can handle not getting on the scale for a few days and the fluid retention is gone. Chinese food really does a number on me and I love it too!

Better finish the dusting. I am so not motivated to continue this house cleaning.

Ma Kettle (Jeanette)

RE: Xers Wishful

Okay...back after Bryan's Sweat...Sheesh!!!! I am feeling wiped now! Although I was very proud of myself...I was able to do my first headstand...WooHoo!!! He explained it just right and I had no problem....still can't do those back bends though. Maybe one day. I just had a thought...Tracy can give us all yoga tips while on retreat!! She can be our own personal teacher!

quick personals...

Traci....
Dear, I gotta go with he other gals about your concept of 'revenge'...Wendell has no idea how easy he has it! I had bad dreams last night, too. I dreamed my BFF's husband died of a massive heart attack with no warning....so I called her this morning to make sure he was okay...and she couldn't get in touch with him today and he wasn't feeling good yesterday...so now I am paranoid. The doodle seems to be doing fine today...thanks for asking. I am REALLY goofy...I can trip over nothing most of the time. I think it's funny because I am used to it, but it used to drive XDH crazy that I wasn't graceful. Oh well. Aren't you the mean trainer to work your gal harder since she couldn't make it earlier in the week...LOL! So glad Wendell is putting up those mirrors....I guess that revenge worked.

Tracy....
Glad you got good sleep last night...that goes a long way to helping heal your sick vibes. I had that same OMG experience in DD's bathroom this morning. It took me almost an hour just to clean that room....UGH.

Wendy....
Poor Phil..I am sure he stays out of your way during those PMS times...LOL about throwing out the SI swimsuit edition...That was part of my Valentine gift to CBL...He was all excited since the guys at work would think he was a hero for bringing it in to share.

Sandra...
Sounds like you have a busy, busy weekend planned! Interesting that you guys have an actual 'Family Day' holiday.....I think that is great.

Laurie...
I can't believe you didn't have any other takers on the portobello mushroom burgers last night...They sound yummy to me, and I am the queen of junk food! Can't wait to see those legs on retreat, girl! I barely have to wear a winter coat here at all...I have worn a parka all of about 2 times this season...lol.....Mostly just sweatshirts.

Nicole...
I am doing a happy dance for you!!!!!!!!

Jeanette...
Have fun with the family coming tomorrow. I am sure it will be good to see your sis! The massage sounds like just what you needed yesterday. That's great about your friends who live so close...What town are they in? I am sure you will be able to hook up with them at some point...We have plenty of extra cars. And yes, Billy Crystal plays Miracle Max in 'the Princess Bride' with Carol Kane as his wife...Really a funny part of the movie. Actually, I think the entire movie is a hoot...and I used to have a thing for Mandy Patankin (who plays the Spaniard set on revenge for his dead father)...Remember he used to be on 'Chicago Hope' years ago?? That was back the day I had a thing for older men...Now I prefer the younger ones...LOL! Well, I see now that your friends are really close...How wonderful!!! You are certainly welcome to invite them over anytime...or feel free to use one of the cars so that you can hook up elsewhere if you prefer! Yes, XDH is being a d**khead...but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It's just that he knows just how to push my buttons....and I guess when he gets bored that is what he does.

Kim..
Sending healing vibes your way!

Okay...that's it for me now...Gotta get in the shower since CBL will be here in a bit to head out for dinner. Hope everyone has a great night. I must spend my day tomorrow studying. We may have a test on Monday...if not then, definitely Wednesday, so I need to get on the ball and continue my performance as the teacher's pet.

RE: Xers Wishful

I busted my butt with TB+ this morning. It felt so good and I was sweating up a storm. I am so excited to see results that it really motivates me to work harder. I am up to almost all toe push ups on these workouts. I remember when I did they the first couple of times I just laughed at the thought of doing the whole thing and now I am really working it:) I am much closer to doing a chin up than I was three weeks ago:D

Traci, I do hope you are not on the IL for long. I think you have learned though when to say when and take it easy. I'm impressed to see that you are one of the exceptional trainers that Cathe talks about on her blog. How good to have that information to pass on to your clients. I think that you have such a passion for fitness that you couldn't fail if you tried! I hope to have that same passion when I start studying for that field. A few more years and I'll be able to focus on me a little more. You know Dr. Oz and Roizen say that having a passion for something adds years to your life. I think you're set between your fitness and Wendell;) DH says I snore sometimes too. I think those are the good sleeping nights where nothing will wake me:) For all of you now afraid to sleep in the same room with me at the retreat, I do NOT snore on a regular basis:) I can't wait for you to try the Plus series and hear what you think. I unfortunately changed my eating, my workouts and my supplements at the same time so I don't know which one I should give the most credit to:p I tell myself to stop doing that but I do it anyways:) Oh my gosh, this post is so loooong!!!! Are you worn out now?;)

Tracy, Sounds like we are all on the cleaning wagon together today. I get to do the little stuff that gets ignored when the little ones are home. I'm glad you're feeling better today. This bug is knocking people for a loop! At least you'll have nice strength gains by the end because of the lull of sickness in the beginning:) I'm bummed you won't be there early on the 3rd but technically neither will I. I found a cheap ticket for $278 but I have to stop in L.A. and D.C.. I won't arrive until 10:30 at night but I knew the girls would be up causing trouble still;) You will really enjoy the shift from regular to Plus P90X. It is such a great program and the length affords time for yoga and core work. I haven't done any of the "core" workouts and I feel I have worked it more than I ever did. I think full push ups really engage the core and so do the assisted pull ups. Gee, I'm long winded today! Do you think it's because there's no threat of anyone bugging me? Now you're scared to see how much I talk in person, huh?

Wendy, you are killing me with your Blackberry! I would be in trouble if I had one. I'd be distracted all the time because I would feel the need to inform you all of every detail of my life as it happens:) Glad to see you're getting your moneys worth out of it:) All of this talk of thoughtful husbands is making me jealous. DH and I did absolutely nothing for each other. I told him it's a holiday for women and he needs to get on it next year:D By the way, if you are feeling fat, I'm a whale:p Stop it now I say!!!! I'm right there with you on the easy access foods. I seem to always go for the chocolate. I heard that the way it melts on your tongue makes you happy so I eat it when I need a boost. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it:D By the by, I have a Capresso from BB&Beyond and I use it every day with no problems. I know when it's starting to burn the coffee and I turn it to steam before then. Works every time and it's cheaper than Starbuck's:) Ok, I won't lie, I still go to Starbuck's as often as possible:9

Sandra, I know you have nothing else to do but load up those Tinkerbell cake pics so would you get on it?;) The underground sea caverns sound fun! Sounds like you have a wonderful day of adventure planned. My your kids will have some good memories! My poor kids will say, "Well, we had breakfast then cleaned our room, then had lunch, then re-cleaned our room then had dinner then made a mess in our room which we had to clean first thing in the morning again..........". Yes it really is that dreary around here. You do motivate me to try harder:) HSTA Is a good one. I'll put it on my list of post P90X workouts. By the way, way to go on becoming an XX'er! I don't think I ever congratulated you. Only two more weeks for me:) Did you manage to get much done on your thesis yesterday? I hope it is done soon as I miss your epic posts. Don't worry I'll fill in for you, at least for today:D

Laurie, I'm glad you got to sleep in today! I will take advantage of a quiet house and sleep in tomorrow:) You didn't get a Mac, gasp! I too am a Mac fan but mainly because of the lack of problems. I can't wait to get a new one as I still have the little 12" monitor. Glad to see your DH loved the Cordial Cherries. you did read that you were responsible for making us some at the retreat right?;) Sounds like you had a relaxing night and that's just what you needed. I am so looking forward to church without the kids! I think I'll sit up in the front and get out first:) Our church dismisses by row starting at the front but since we have wee ones we sit in the back every Sunday. Now I'll be spoiled:D

Jeanette, you know I was pretty content with my life until I read your darned post;) Now why did you have to go and have all the fun? It makes me think I need to do the same as soon as possible! How nice that DH took the reigns and had dinner going and the table set when you got home. I bet he's nice to have around. The BBQ sounded nice and relaxing. So did you get the same random storm we got? It was freezing!!! I turned on the news and you would have thought the world had stopped because we got a few inches of snow. I think it was more because no one was prepared and we have like three snow plows for the whole county:p Hope you're still kicking and screaming at DH to get to work! you have to stay on them:) Enjoy the time with your sister and BIL!

Debra, Now I'm just throwing this out there but I bet XDH was so nasty because he saw the hottie he is missing out on:D I'm glad you won't engage in the back and forth banter with him. You are smart to have the lawyer handle it that way your nose stays clean and XDH can't use it against you. You must have quite a pile of nasty e-mails saved by now. I'm laughing about the toothpaste in funny places because I just found some at the top of the shower curtain from DS's. I don't even know how they did that! I vote yes on Tracy giving us yoga pointers at the retreat! Isn't Sweat a good one? I did Tone the other day and felt so good when it was over. Isn't it scary when you have a very vivid dream about someone? Sometimes I start to think maybe it was a vision and freak out. I'm glad to say that none of my "visions" have become reality:) Hope you're off studying in between CBL's engaging conversation at the steakhouse:D

Kim, Sorry you're still feeling punky:( Sounds like you are sticking to your workouts like a trooper! Way to go! How fun that you'll be able to make a business trip into a little vacation. Get better soon and come for a longer visit.

Christiane, Are you still stuck in the cold States? When are you do to return home?

Hi Latrese and Swifty!!

See, now aren't you all glad I have a family around most of the time to bridle this tongue?:) I think I'm caught up for about a week now:D

See you all tomorrow. I'm going to the movies with my BFF and seeing 27 Dresses. I heard it was cute!

Nicole

Bring it!!!

RE: Xers Wishful

Good evening ladies,
YUKx( YUKx( YUKx( ... what an awful w/o I had today. Phase 3, Week 2, Day 1, so CST. I ealized once in the hotel gym(more on that later) that I forgot to download it on my I-Pod, so OK I'll have to do it from memory... at least I have the workout sheet right... Then I warm-up...remember the sequence somehow... (OK by then how many times have I done it???), then... I realize that the gym doesn't have the weight increments I need. OK, there's a Bally next door that hotel guests can use, so quick, run there, go down to the weight room where there's no female in sight and PLENTY of tatooed big guys and... what a whinny I was today!!!! My left shoulder is still bothering me and it's not even my injured one. So the workout was less than satisfactory. Then OK, they have a nice big room where I can visit with Cathe and do Stretch Max... except that there's no plugs anywhere, my DVD player was left open and is not able to run on the battery... so OK, let's go to the room and do it... but I have no sticky mat and my feet are flying in all directions and before you know it I'm doing the front split...}( }( }( DO YOU GET THE PICTURE???
So, yesterday DH was supposed to come and join me. We had a hotel room booked for Friday and Saturday as we do not crowd DD when we come for the ballet. But he calls me after landing and guess what... no luggagesx( We're used to that as 1 out of 2 trips we don't get them. Except in Lux we are only 15 minutes away from the airport and they normally deliver. But in Detroit we are 1 hour away and they don't deliver... so he's not coming... cancel the hotel room...except it's too late and it will be charged anyway. So I decide to get there and take the room. This will give DD some breathing room, she loves mommy dearly but I've been there for a week already. After the show she comes and join me at the hotel, ther theater is just next door. But it's too late to go to the restaurant and she is famished. No problem... we'll order room service. An hour later the food is still not here and it's past 12am...x( It finally comes but we're not charged for it.
OK girls, how about you...;-)

TraciX~~ I am so sorry to hear about your injury. They just come out o the blue. I wish there was a warning....careful, your shoulder is about to pop... please proceed with caution...:+ DH has had those crazy travel schedules only since we moved to Europe. He travelled before but never to the extend he is doing now. It's a little out of control... Thank you for your feedback on the BF lost routine. Shall try it. What a wake-up call this am... what is wrong with you girl... :+ Oh! and you're so mean to your client...although I would have needed you this morning... you could (and should) have kicked my butt...x(

Wendy~~ How sweet of DH to treat you like this on V-day. As you read not only V-day didn't happen but neither yesterday also. Tonight we'll have diner with DD after her show. My nme is pronounced "Chris-ti-anne". It's a fairly common name in any french environment but quite unusual in english. The pieces of jewelry you described sounds beautiful. So you pigged out yesterday also...x( I had a few days like that... nothing as bad as you (kidding...lol) but not too good nonetheless. You you want suggestions for snacks...there's NOTHING in my house except healthy food... so I have to purposely go out if I want something bad. It usually works. Sometimes in Lux when I go grocery shopping, it's so hard because they have the bakery, chocolate and "viennoiserie" section in the hallways... the smell that comes out of there is....allucinating. OK, again on the Nespresso (as you can see it's my all-time favorite). It has 19 bars of pressure. I have the simplest one, it's even manual, which means I have to push the water to go on and off. This machine however does not exist in the US. What I love about the pods is the choice. I have my favorites of course, but when I entertain, I like to offer my guests a choice of different beans. I don't know if they have the same promo in the US, but in EU, when you buy the machine, for a marked down price, you can get the pod box that is all filled with the different beans. Then you can reorder as you wish. We're also quite lucky cause we have a Nespresso "boutique" downtown, so I don't have to order.

Sandra~~ I am glad your cake turned out nicely. I am looking forward to see your pictures. Your weekend plans sounds wonderful. Do you know how long it's been since my last ski trip...:-(

Laurie~~ I had axactly the same hand treatment yesterday. It felt so good. I'm glad you had a nice evening with DH. Yes DD was very appreciative for the house clean-up. She doesn't have much time lately with the shows and mid-terms and assignments for her class.

Debra~~ I am glad you had a nice evening with CBL on V-day... GIRLS I AM STARTING TO BE JEALOUS HERE...;-) I am also glad that poochie is doing better. You know between us (girls) it's good that you can let your frustrations out about XDH. I'm sure none of us mind and it's good for you to let it out...;-) Also I hope DD appreciates you cleaning up after her... how old is she?

Nicole~~ HURRAY:+ :+ :+ , you have your weekend to yourself. I haven't tried Kenpo X+ yet but I previewed it. I agree that it seems to be a quick but intense w/o.

Jeanette~~ Well you did indeed have a nice day yesterday. How nice of DH to organize this BBQ for you and your folks! :p :p This would NEVER happen with mine... NEVER... he might have the idea, as long as I do it...;-) How I envy you for the massage/facial. I'm having one next week and can't wait for it. I could stay on that table forever. I usually take the extended massage...for 90 minutes...:9 .

Tracy~~ I am glad you are feeling better. I admire you as it takes strenght and motivation to w/o when you don't feel your best. It's so easy to take the way out and not workout.

Well guess what...DH just walked into the room...By girls...;-)

RE: Xers Wishful

Hello Out there!!! WOW lots of talk for a Saturday! Nice to see everyone! - Well I shall be the rebel (whats new) & announce I DID NOT CLEAN today! Not even anything that gives the appearance of cleaning;-)

Leg Press Mania completed and I am walking "funny" already.... TOTALLY forgot what a great workout that is for 56 minutes... Its pure booty, inner thigh, outer thigh.... ya get the "EXPLOSIVES" for HIIT, the Leg Drills that make Kick Max look not quite so bad;-) and the GOOD floor work! LOVED every second.... I also think part of my love affair w/ it is Cathe's persona...she just seems so dang happy! I love all her OUCH's, evil laughs, Looking behind her to "check on the gang"....

Gotta get some dinner on the table & may have to make an emergency run across town to MIL to un-clog a drain...... I shall probably not be back for personals to AM....lets hope its after 4AM;-)

xxoo to all

RE: Xers Wishful

Hi all,

The cough rose up with a vengence after I worked out. I guess the energy expenditure drug my immune system down a little. Once I ate I stopped coughing as much. I just finished my yoga. I'm going to work on some homework in a few minutes, I'm just killing some time.

I can tell I'm going to get some good coffee on the retreat. I'm so not picky about it, but do enjoy a good cup. My Mom would be right at home with all of this coffee pot talk. It's like a foreign language to me. I drink instant when I'm home because no one else drinks it but me. Most people cringe at the thought of instant, so I was happy to hear that I have a fellow instant coffee drinker:)

Jeanette - Your posts just crack me up. DH not working hard enough? Does he get sidetracked easily? Mine does. He's working on replacing our well troll and Wednesday when I left for work he was going to install it. It requires some plumbing. Well I get home at 3:40 and all he has done is the thing is laying on it's side on a dog bed in the laundry room. I asked DS if DH had gone somewhere earlier and he said no. I guess it took all day to get that far. I was so proud of myself for not commenting and it's still not done. Our dryer has been making a weird erk sound every time the tub quits spinning. I'm sure a belt is going bad, but DH is ignoring me.

Debra - I usually have the OMG when I go into the kids bathroom too. I can't figure out how pee can get in so many places. I think Sweat is one of the more challenging workouts. I'm wondering what his audios are like. He has new audios but no new dvds.

Traci - Glad you had a nice workout. Cathe did a good job with that one and it's accompanying premixes. We all want to know, Did the mirrors get hung?

Christiane - Sounds like you persevered. I hate it when that kind of stuff happens. Is DD doing OK?

I guess I'd better get to the HW. My goal was to get it done today.

Tracy

RE: Xers Wishful

Good Evening Ladies,

It's been a busy day as most of you know. We had a good time at Peddler's Village. Had grilled salmon for lunch. In honor of Traci and Wendell, we skipped the bread basket offerings. :) After we escaped Giggleberry Fair and drove the hour and 15 minutes back home, I quickly changed into workout clothes. Ooooo! Almost forgot! A wedding party came to Giggleberry for photographs on the carousel! YES! Didn't surprise me since the bride, groom and rest of the party barely looked old enough to marry or be in a wedding... except as a ring bearer or flower girl.}( Oh, to be young again!;) I took pictures of it cuz I'm an evil person.;)

I'm happy to report that Cardio & Weights (Cardio Premix Only) and Baptiste Live (Unlocking Athletic Power) is DONE!!!!:) :) :) :) :)

A couple of quick personals before Phil and I break open a bottle of Chaddsford 2006 Pennsylvania Due Rossi.:9

Christiane: Thanks for the pronunciation explanation! Could you send me your email? [email protected]

Debra: The shoes are a size 7.5. You more than welcome to prance around in them during the retreat.:) Don't blame me for sore feet.;)

Tracy: Glad to hear your coughing went away with some food. Usually, it's the opposite with me when I'm sick. Eating stirs up the mucus lining my throat and gets me coughing. Hopefully, you don't have much longer before your cold goes away for good!!! About your dh's initial motivation for working out... Isn't that the same trip he didn't want to leave his father to go on? I'm glad he went and came to the realization that he should take care of himself too! Kudos to him for working out!!!!

Nicole: But, but, but, I thought you would love hearing about all the insignificant details of my life.:+ I promise to ease up on the Blackberry emails. Scouts honor! How's single life? Boredom set in yet? All the lights in the house on? Everyone in town knows when I'm home alone! Every light in the house is on 24-7! LOL

Okay... wine is calling. Have a good evening!

Sweet Dreams!
Wendy
