Happy Monday to all! I missed you guys so much!!!! I just may let Sandra get me a computer for Bay!:7
We got back yesterday afternoon and then got into attic for Xmas boxes... then dinner yada yada yada.... I read all the back posts and WOWSY WOWSY! I am a TOTAL slug for last 5 days! You guys did absolutely terrific thru Thanksgiving! I am soooooo impressed. I really am glad I had no computer access tho cuz I would have been working out and eating reasonable to be a good check-in partner and surely would have missed the wine & pie (the 2 things I havent touched in ages!). We DID have a marvelous time I worked out 1 day for 2 hours and didnt log food for 5 days. Thats a first in almost 2 years for me! It was pretty darn freeing;-) but I also think it kept me somewhat in check because I was so paranoid about not logging!
I weighed at 1230am (when Dogs woke me up!) and I am up just 1 pound from 6 days ago WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
**happy feet doin happy dance!**

Jane: New Treadmill???? Oh my thats fabulous! Did you get it put together (BTW: thats a w/o in itself!)

Buffy: FANTABULOUS job all week w/ your workouts and eating. MAJOR IMPRESSIVE! BTW: What day do you start recovery week? I am so thankful I am in mine! It actually ends Wednesday night.

Amy: Awesome job w/ commitment to w/os and food choices! I am so happy you are back to pre-germ power!! I expect at least 2-3 MAX Somethin's this week! :7 BTW: Finally stopped looking at LowMax last week and actually did the dang thing!

Tgirl: You were missed around here too! We need to get you home access girl!

Marcia; 11000 steps + ...Oh MY! Are you one of the CRAZY shoppers I saw on the news fist fighting for a 39.99 electronic? 41 days to Mexico! Shoot I may use your trip as my focus goal too! Rotation idea? Well based on Cheryls results I would be doing Cathes November Rotation myself if I werent doing P90X!

Cheryl: HOLY SMOKIN COW! BF down 3.5%? That just makes me cry happy tears for you! Gives me hope that my BF will move downward along w/ the scale some day! Turkey trot run=FUN... 2 hr + run = OUCH

Sandra: I'm still trying to recover from reading your power workout on Friday! PMS does this to you??? I must have missed that particular hormone at the birth gate! AMEN SISTER on your note to Amy about increasing food/ restoring muscle/ fine line on amount!
I crack up when you talk about all the ice (be careful!) and swimming in the same post! I was born/raised in California & now a Texan... we dont have indoor pools so the visual always makes me think of that "Polar Club" in San Fran I think... A bunch of wackos have a club and swim all year long in the ocean out there... its one of the coldest around!...SLEDDING? Delightful...would LOVE to do this one day before Im 90

LoriS: You are so close to your goal!!!! 17 pounds off already? WOW> Another inspiration for me to just keep at it! LOL on deer/nephew stories.... My DH big hunter and all my in laws.... NOT ME! BIG PRAYERS & GOOD THOUGHTS for your dad and all of your family.

Claude: Happy Sewing ! I really NEED you to get to Houston & help me w/ home projects.... We've neen in our house for nearly 6 years and all the walls are still white! We bought a "spec" home so thank goodness there is wallpaper in many rooms... DH and I are not any kind of "creative"

LoriND: WELCOME!!!! We just love new friends! Congrats on being a lifer for a year! Please check in as often as you'd like!

Hugs to everyone!!! I really did miss each of you....
I also hope all our Canadian friends survived the frigisd temps all weekend and played it safe on the roads!

Traci- I was going to start the new thread, and you beat me to it! I am glad that you made it home safe and sound! It sounds like you had a wonderful and restful time....good for you!!! (Psst, I didn't log food last week either!) I completely understand about pie/wine! Well, at least the wine. I "indulged in the grape" last Monday-Thursday nights....something I hadn't done in about a month! Congrats on the minimum of increase on the scale as well!

LoriND-Welcome to the club! Congratulations on Lifer.....I am still working towards hitting goal for the first time in my life!

Sandra- I am glad that you enjoy your swims...enjoy them for me, too! I just have no interest in swimming. I have a really hard time with water over my head...I guess that it comes from wearing contacts for so long, or just a phobia, but the contacts sounds like a less "psycho" excuse!

This week will be the decorating thing....and taking down the stupid canopy we have over out back patio. I swear that the dang thing has tried to fly away so many times this fall that it's bent in some places, but it sure helped keep the living room cooler last summer! (it blocks sun from beating into the back patio door). DH also wants to see Casino Royale in the new digital theater that just opened up in town.

Good morning fellow WWer's...

Traci - again, welcome back. It just isn't the same without you! The TM was really easy to put together. It came in 5 pieces, console, deck, two uprights, and the fan console. Plug in the appropriate wires, eight srews to home the uprights to the deck, 4 screws to connect the console and three screw to connect the fan console. I was dreading putting it together but it wasn't bad at all!

Good morning Amy!

Welcome LoriND, we are definitely a lovely bunch.

I'm feeling pretty good this morning, weight is holding the line. I think I'm going to have a good WI tomorrow.

Have a great day all!

Good morning:

I just saw that we have some nasty weather coming our way in the next couple of days, YUCK, I have some traveling to do for work that might just be put on hold now.

Thanks for the rotation idea, Traci, but I don't have the new workouts so the November rotation really doesn't do me any good.

Today it's back to work and I have a lot to get done plus I teach step class tonight - looking forward to it, though. I bought a Christmas workout CD so that will be great for my class to sweat to and get in the holiday spirit. ;-)

Have a wonderful Monday!
Marcia.

Good Morning!!

Welcome back Traci. You were certainly missed. I'm glad you had a great time at the bay.

I'm started my recovery week today. Well, I was supposed to start this morning but DH kept me up all nite with his snoring so I slept in a bit. I'll do my workout after work.

BBL

Buffy

Buffy: HOORAY for your recovery week... I hope your muscles grow & grow!!!

Marcia: We're getting the frigid cold on Wed / Thur too! Ive been and still am in shorts & tank.... actually got a sunburn over the weekend.... I wont leave the house if its below 60...NOT a winter girl. Your class sounds like its going to be a blast!

Jane: Great news about TM and WI tomorrow! You are so motivating .

Amy: I'm decorating as well today... gotta do something at midnight! I am so tired tho as I went to sleep at 9pm.. 1 kid had to go to bathroom at 10:30pm.... at midnight all 3 kids were up and barking at the decorations I had put on front porch last night... It does look like someone is standing in my front door window (Ive jumped 3 times this am walking by the door! tehetehe

I am sending out urgent plea for positive workout vibes today... I am so tired, in the middle of laundry and desperately need some sleep.. of course the workout hasnt happened yet.... HELP... cannot blow off yet another day after 4 days of nada!!!

Good Morning everyone....Weekend and eating stayed in Points. I have only 10 FP's left, and 2 days to go. I like to save more, but I have been hungry this week.

My workout for today will be CTX UB, and some abs. I am likng this rotation so far.

My dad goes to the dr. this afternoon. I am glad that that part of the waiting will be over.

Traci, glad you had a great trip. Has your friend in Houston done Premier for a long time?? I have been a Jeweler for 5 years, almost starting my 6th. I have a show tonight, and one tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone!
Lori

Good morning,

Did you guys have a good Thanksgiving? Me! I had a peaceful day stayed in bed and ate whatever was in my home. I just did not feel like being around friends or family and cooking, that's definately a NO NO......

But went to my sister home on Friday and boy did I throw down ;) bless her heart she had, greens, dressing, ham, turkey, mac cheese, yams corn-bread pie cake and much more. I was doing the happy dance on that day. Nice!

Ladies, I did scramble eggs workout (BM) Sunday and WOW! When I finished the workout, my clothes were SOAK and WET and I was TIRED.

This morning, I slept in, truth is, if I wanted to workout, i couldn't just to tired I didn't fall alseep last night, hm...until way after 2am almost called off today  }( laid there and thought about it, and decided come on now, boss just gave you Th & Fri so fell out of my warm bed.

But, who knows, I just may find the energy tonight to push play if I do, Butt & Guts babe :9 :9 :p

Stepped on my scale this morning, I think I lost a lb or 2. Oh, I forgot to mention, starting p90x week 2 over today, b/c Thursday, Friday Sat and Sun I did nothing but cardio. The weather was so nice Sat that after I did CF I went for a long walk bout 1.5 hours. Well, now that I think about it, I guess I really could continue into week three :D

I really hope that I find some energy to workout tonight chest & back, not going to sweat it if I don't. Just going to start tomorrow already knowing that I had my rest day for this week.

Tracie, you only gained 1 lb, you did good woman, glad you are back safe.

Teddygirl~

Good morning!

I haven't done my workout yet today, but I have Cardio Fusion planned. I'll do it in a bit, when the baby goes down for her nap.

Traci - You did sooooo well!!!! You should be so proud of yourself! Isn't it wonderful to know you can take a "break" from the plan, and do no damage? I LOL at the idea of outdoor swimming! We'd have to cut a hole in the ice, first! No thank you; I'll do my swimming in a nice temperature-controlled recreational facility! Those polar-bear club people are just off the deep-end (pun intended). How sweet that your kids are trying to protect you from the holiday decorations! I'm sending you good workout vibes. Maybe what you should do is mentally plan to do an "easy" workout. What you actually end up doing may be totally different, but sometimes I find if I keep my expectations low, it helps to just get me started. Good luck!!

Amy - I love your new slogan. I also had a couple glasses of wine on the weekend, and I haven't had a drop in almost 3 years. I actually had to look up the points value for it; I had no idea what it might be. Oh my, it was tasty. Swimming is definitely not for everyone. I remember you saying you had some poor experiences with it in the navy, so I can't say I blame you now.

Jane - It's nice to see you have a bit more time on your hands today. You've been very busy lately!

Marcia - Christmas workout music?! You don't make them put jingle bells on their laces, do you? Have a great class! Good luck with the travelling. The weather can make things so difficult. I'm sending you good patience vibes )))))))))

Buffy - So, you're on your fourth week already? Wow! Have you seen any progress in terms of increased reps of push ups that you can do?

Lori - I really, really hope your father's appointment goes well today. Which rotation are you doing? I haven't done CTX UB in ages. It's a bit of a cooker!

The sledding went really well yesterday (if you ignore my control-freak 6 year old getting upset about every little thing). After a hot lunch, us, our visiting guests, and the neighbours suited up for the cold and snow. The temps were still in the -20's, so we stayed out until little fingers and toes couldn't take it any longer. Then we all ended up back at our house for generous rounds of hot chocolate and chocolate cake. That turned out to be my dinner - now that was a nice treat!! It was a ton of fun, and I hope we do it again before the winter is over.

Have a great day,
Sandra

Hi, everyone!

Welcome back, Traci! You were missed!!!
Okay, here's your encouragement, girl - I'm hot on your tail and am determined to catch up with your progress. So you've gotta stay in front of me to keep that incentive alive, okay? :) :) :)

Sandra, I'm very curious to see if you can master Cardio Fusion right off. Even though I have no trouble with any of the workouts it was drawn from, I'm still tripping over the step when she throws them all at us... I had Cardio Fusion on the docket today but after 15 minutes pulled it out and put Rhythmic Step back in and did the whole thing.
Love it! Even though it's dancy and complicated, because she breaks it down at the beginning I don't have trouble with it, even during the "blast"

Buffy - good luck with your recovery week!!! Look forward to hearing your stats.

Amy, hope you have a good day!

Claude, good luck with the decorating and sewing. That's ambitious, girl!!

Okay, here's a question for everyone - My Cathe collection of all the earlier workouts, from eBay and the YaYa swap, is nearing completion...
Do I need Cardio Kicks/Circuit Max???? I welcome all opinions.
I think that and HSTA are the final two I'm lacking.... I'm not going to buy Pure Strength since it's fairly dated and at this point I have MIS, Muscle Max, Gym Styles and Slow and Heavy...

Thanks for the input, gals!
Have a great Monday, everyone!
Cheryl

Forgot to mention - my home weigh-in was 134.5 this morning. I calculated that with the 3 1/2% bf loss this past month I've actually lost about 6 pounds fat and gained 6 pounds of muscle. I'll take it!

But at this point, I doubt I'll add more new muscle so readily, so I'm anticipating that from here forward my changes will start to show up on the scale. That's what I'm hoping.

Here's to a great week!

Cheryl

I am looking forward to my recovery week.

I can definitely see some changes in my arms and my legs look real tight after 3 weeks of P90X. I see much more definition in my shoulders particularly. Push ups are defintely getting easier, although, I am on my knees most of the time. The other day when I did DM I did quite a few push ups on my toes though.

For the remaining 9 weeks I'm going to make a big effort to eat super clean. I've been good with my points and eating pretty clean, but I think if I clean it up a bit more I'll see more results.

For all of you doing P90X or contemplating it, I think you'll be pleased with the results. BTW, I try to throw in at least one cardio coach (usually two) and one Cathe a week because I miss them if I don't.

Buffy

Cheryl... I love CardioKicks. It just flows so well. It has the high intensity stuff on the end like KickMax does.

HSTA is a definite must-have IMO. That is one tough workout. I really like it.

I haven't done CircuitMax in a while.

Maybe it is my OCD tendencies, but I had to have ALL of Cathe's workouts. I follow her rotations mainly, and I love not to have to substitute workouts.

I do not, however, have Basic Step, High Step Circuit, or Body Fusion. These are rarely on rotation but I would sub High Step Challenge for HSCircuit.

Buffy: ME TOO on super clean eating for my remaining 8 weeks on P90. I agree that PHENOMINAL results can occur by doing that! I also added CC 3 to my rotation 2x a wek based on reading how you've done it. I think its a good "liter" cardio for me to add since phase 2 is suppose to be really tough.

CHERYL: Thanks for the pep talk... as soon as I talk a bit with ya'll I'm off to do CTX Kickbox. I responded about CK/CM on your other thread.... 3 guesses what I said!;-) WOOHOO on BF and Scale...you are in Magic Zone right now. Congrats on all your hard work paying off.

Sandra: Thanks for your advise as well. Thats why I selected CTX Kick... short sweet to the point. How fun your day of sledding sounded... LOL on the 6 year old control freak... I am most certain it comes from her fathers genes:7

TGIRL: Your t-giving w/ sister sounded like a wonderful bonding time! I so miss my sisters at holidays. GREAT job on Scrambled Eggs girl.... I hear its a killer. Good move on your P90 repeat strategy.

LoriS: Good thoughts this afternoon. Take some deep breathes and think good thoughts. My Premier friend has a f/t PR Business so she just dabbles a couple times a year in the parties. I dont do any of those kind of parties so I just order from catalog.

Off to do CTX Kick gang... REALLY... MUCH thanks for your encouragement and ideas today. You guys are the best!

Hi everyone....my dad goes in too have his surgery Dec. 12th. It is a 7 hour surgery, and we will be in the hospital 4-5 days. They are going to fix 2 bypasses, and his valve. The dr. told him he will feel much better when it is done.

Off to eat, and then to my Jewelry Show!!
Lori

Thanks, Jane and Traci for you rinput on Cardio Kicks.

Jane - I'm like you - I pretty much want to own everything Cathe does that's advanced... I may not buy CTX, since I'm seldom doing less than a 1 hour workout and I do have the Timesaver series.

Does Cardio Kicks require a step or any equipment? If it doesn't, that's another reason to buy it - it could be one of those couple that can go on business trips or vacations and run from the computer :)

Have a great afternoon, everyone!
Cheryl

Cheryl - no equipment needed on CardioKicks. I had to have CTX. That and S&H were last purchases within just the last couple of months. That completed my collection. I heard so many good (and painful) things about Leaner Legs, I had to have it. I'm so glad I did.

Hello, and good afternoon!

I snoozed nicely this afternoon after running some errands after work this morning. I stopped off at the DME and picked up some more compression stockings. While the lady was hunting up my size, I asked her when I should be re-fitted for them. Well, suffice to say that we figured out that I needed to be re-measured and I went from an M4 (based on ankle, calf, thigh measurements) down to an M2 (completely missing the "3"). No wonder I am having problems keeping them up around my thighs!!! (smacking forehead) The nice thing is that since they are pretty expensive ($60/pair), and I am getting them from my hospital's DME, they payroll deduct, so for now, it's no money out of my pocket! She also gave me some goo that helps them stick and stay up...which I could have used last week! I walked from the elevator and by the time I got down the hall to the nursing station, my stockings were down around my calves!!!! NOT a pretty site!:7

Traci- You are doing great! I hope that you get some rest and are able to "kick" your workout in it's 'rear'!!! I haven't even gotten the decorations out yet, they are still in the storage space above the garage! UGH!

Cheryl- I was hesitant about CTX as well, but got it and LOVE it! I know that all the workouts are less than an hour, but I string them together and they make for a great workout!!! I love the Power Circuits! I also string some of the Timesaver ones together sometimes.

I just put CardioKicks on my wish list for Cathe. I love how there used to be so many on that list, and they are now in my cupboard. My wish list is down to 3 now:7 :D ;-)

I was scrounging through my health food co-op this morning (looking for Candy Cane Lane tea from Celestial Seasonings....the ONLY green tea that I like....and obviously everyone else does too since the shelf was empty!) and found some super yummy snacks. They are dehydrated fruit (not dried). There are strawberries, blueberries, mangos, pineapple (my personal favorite!), cherries, cranberries, apples, peaches and apricots. They also have a website where you can get dehydrated veggies, too....www.justtomatoes.com. I munched on the mangos on the way home and remembered why I don't like the actual fruit....it has a funny aftertaste for me.x( I love the apples, too!

Amy, Jane -

Thanks for enabling me! Now Cardio Kicks and probably CTX are the two final items on my Cathe wish list. Except for Pure Strength, that will give me everything intermediate/advanced that she's done. I love it!

Amy, wow, big congratulations on the compression stocking "downsize" - another marker for your progress, and will make you more comfortable, too! Best of all is the news that your work provides them :)

Thanks, ladies! You're the best -
Cheryl

Lori- I hope that your dad's surgery goes well. I work in Open Heart ICU and for a bypass 're-do' and a valve, 7 hrs seem a bit long, but hopefully they were extending the time to make sure they have enough time to do everything they want to safely. Our hearts usually come back in about 4-5 hrs (even with a valve replacement). Then again, you said your dad's previous bypasses need to be fixed.

My prayers are with you!
