Morning Ladies -

This morning I did my Jillian Circuit Backside. Used my Blue & Black bands together for lat work and ankle weights and dumbbells for abs. Used the Rebounder for the jump rope and aerobic segments. I felt it in my foot a bit though. Workout was 67" and I burned 410 calories. My body is already feeling beat from these and I just started them again! Music was Papa Roach Paramour Sessions again.......just love that CD...won't be sick of it for a long time, as every song kicks butt! Even the DH loves it and has been listening to it nonstop. I hear him downstairs lifting in the morning singing all of the lyrics to it! LOL!

Jen - did you see the BPAL Halloween Update? I LOVE Sugar Skull....so have to figure out where to get more money. I submitted to the Treat Inqu.......cuz MARSHMALLOW....is OMG!!! Love the sweets. I need it!! I also got some of the nailpolishes, as I'm a nut for dark dark shades. I just bought some black with a reddish glittery gold fleck to it and a deep navy shade by OPI also. Getting ready for Fall.

Kel - did you make it back from Nascar? Have fun?

Gotta get going. Need to do my neck stretches and I have to go into Walgreen's and finish my Skills Assessment. Was applying for a job online yesterday and I have to go into the store for the rest of it. Still no JOB!!!!! This is getting downright depressing! Need money.

Have a great day ladies.

Hi ladies!!! I missed you guys & I'm SO glad to be back... it was hot & dusty & the racing wasn't even as good as it has been in the past. The camping, companionship, & break from work (& "the real world") was still nice, though. Even though I got back home on Sunday, I've been so busy & dealing with such a terrible case of poison ivy that I haven't been able to post before now. I've had poison ivy before (pretty much get the darn stuff every year since I'm so susceptible) but this is by far the worst case I've ever had in my life. You know it's bad when the nurses & doctor gasp & say "Oh my goodness!" So now I'm taking 3 different kinds of meds & I'm being forced to take an unexpected rest week because of all this icky stuff all over me. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be a lot better next week so I'll get back at it then. In fact, I'm already planning what I'm going to do - LOL!

Lora - Fantastic workout! Sounds like your foot might be feeling better now too. Is that right? Good luck with the job search. I'm sorry you're starting to feel depressed but it sounds like you have so many options going that an offer should come around soon. I hope it does & I'm looking forwrad to hearing all about it. Glad you're having a great time with Fall coming up. I love the Fall too!

Jen - How's it going & how's Lenny? I haven't been around for about a week now so I hope your job has calmed down a bit & I hope you've been able to fit in your workouts too.

Well, I better get some things done now. I'll be sure to check back later, though, so I'll "see" you then!:)

Kel - good to have you back. Sorry to hear that you're suffering with the Poison Ivy. I know that can be painful. My DH has had it before. My foot is not doing as well as I wish it were!! I love Fall! Hopefully, I'll have a job to wear all my new Nail Colours to!!

Well, I was freakin' out cuz that Dermatology Practice has the job back in the help wanted section......so I called the Office Manager....again (she probably thinks I'm a freak....and heck maybe she'll hire me just to get me off her back!!! LOL....and I have no idea when I grew this set of you know whats and became so agressive..........but)....I called the Office Manager and told her who I was and asked if she made a decision on the job I interviewed for last week (by the way JEN- it's a freakin' transcription job...typing pathology reports in the Lab of this Derm practice....JOY!! not). She says ....no not yet.......and that she actually had to talk to the doctors about something. I then said, to be totally honest, I saw that you were running the ad again and I just wondered if you weren't happy with the interviewees (or something like that) and she said ....that's a different job.....at which point I said.....well, if I don't get the transcription job -- please keep me in mind for the other one......and then she said something like......I really liked you and you might be hearing from me in a few days. At that point, I stated that I felt a connection with her and liked her and she seemed to be a good person.....so I went a step further and said......if you were to get a negative review on me from one of my previous employers, would you kindly do me the favor of speaking to me about it because I know I left one place without serving my full 2 wee k notice and I didn't know if they were giving me a bad reference and then I went further and said I'd be perfect for the job and I'm a valuable employee!! YIkes.....where does this stuff come from and where do I get my nerve? Gotta be desperation!!!

Well.........if you understood this babbling load of mumbo jumbo.......you get a star on your forehead for the day!!! Hope it made sense.......and thanks for being there for me to vent to ladies.

I just got back from taking my Skills Assessment at Walgreen's........I guess it's nothing to be proud of ....but I'm sure I aced it!! LOL. Didn't have to be a freakin' rocket scientist for that one! LOL.

later............off to get bottles ready to make up some more samples...as I need to make money.............there goes my beloved perfume collection! Amazing what being without a paycheck for 8 months will do to you!

Hi ladies! Just popping in at lunch to see what's new!

Lora-Holy Cow! You are using 2 bands together! That's quite a bit of resistance....and very creative I might add....I think I will have to steal that move! :) I will have to check in to that Papa Roach CD, I think I have heard a song or two of theirs. All the BPAL stuff sounds good too. DH keeps hinting around that he needs more oils. Ugh..why can't I ever remember to go on their site? I guess I have so much left of mine, I just don't think about it. So, do you have that Self Legs DVD that I was talking about? How do you like it? That's good that another job opened up at the Dermatology practice-sounds like the Office Manager liked you. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Kel-So what was disappointing about the racing this time? It sounds like you had a good time in spite of that, so I am glad you got the chance to get away for a few days. Lenny is still the same-good energy and good eating-he goes for his Week 3 treatment tomorrow. I have been getting back to my workouts-thank goodness. My workout calendar for August was looking rather...well, blank. I got a workout from Netflix called Bar Method Designer Sculpting that I am trying out. I have done it once and it seemed a little slow to start, but man oh man, if you have lower body issues-this is one of the DVDs that will work it. The upper body was easy, almost too easy, so I will increase to heavier weights next time even though that is not really the goal of the workout-it's more of the dancer's body type of workout. I have also been doing some Cathe step and Pilates abs. Not following any rotation just yet...just trying to get back in the habit of moving every day. So sorry to hear about your poison ivy...and yet another rest week for you. That's good that you are already planning your next workouts though! Way to stay on track!

I will BBL after WO. It's our anniversary night but DH is working late helping his company move some office locations. :( Actually, we didn't plan to celebrate until this weekend anyway, so that is okay.

Jen

Back again for a few minutes.

Lora - Way to be assertive! I liked everything you said to the Office Manager at the Dermatology practice too. I agree with Jen... it sounds like she may have liked you & I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too. Glad you did well at Walgreens too. So I guess I get a shining star on my forehead since it seems like I totally understood everything you said - LOL. I forgot to ask above... how is your mom doing?

Jen - About the race, they re-did the surface of the track & the racing was pretty boring. It's not just me... it seems like everyone felt the same way about it. But getting away was nice anyway, in spite of this itchy yuck all over me - LOL. Good to hear that Lenny is still doing so well & I'm glad you've been working out more lately too. I know how much better I feel when I work out & that's why I really hate to take a rest, especially an unplanned rest week, but I'll get right back into it next week. Since Monday is a holiday, I'll probably do something extra long too. I'm thinking maybe PUB with some cardio & maybe yoga too. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you & your DH! Have fun celebrating this weekend!

Well, off to clean up this big mess I have on my desk right now. I just don't have much energy today & I bet I can blame that on the meds. Oh well... as long as I get better...

Oh yes.....Jen....Happy Anniversary......meant to say that it looks like you made it thru the 7-year itch....as they say.....whoever they are! I'll be married 20 years this May and I think you should get a medal for surviving 20 years, or better yet, a diamond something or other!!

Kel - can't you do some yoga and pilates?? or is you're itching too bad for anything? Do they have you on Prednisone? How about Bentyl? doesn't that help itching?

I was at Mom's house earlier today. She had her appointment with the Urologist today. I don't know if I mentioned, but ever since she got out of the inpatient rehab place where they had a Foley catheter in her, she developed a bladder infection that she wasn't aware of until her pain started to subside. She was treated for the infection and her culture cleared up, but her symptoms did not.....so she had to visit a specialist. We were concerned her bladder was damaged from the injury somehow. He says she has Cystitis (no S##@......whenever you have the symptoms of a bladder infection with no infection, of course you have an inflamed bladder.....which is all Cystitis is). I told her I wished I'd gone with her, as I would have asked a lot more questions than she did. He told her she needs an Ultrasound to see if she has blood clotting that is leftover from the fall (as the blood splatters all over inside when you're injured like that) and he's checking her kidney function. He gave her Detrol LA for overactive bladder and Pyridium which just numbs the urethra to take away the pressure and burning associated with the symptoms from the Cystitis. I've taken Pyridium on numerous occasions, as I used to get frequent bladder infections, so I told her she'll feel a lot better in a few hours....but we still need to find out what's causing this. She's still not walking and moving at 100%....but she's much better. Thanks so much for asking. I'm so glad I was able to be there for my Mom when she needed me recently! I thank God every day.
