Trying to Fit Yoga in For Friday Feb 29

Morning Ladies -

his morning I did The Extreme Kettlebell Cardio workout with Keith Weber. This was filmed on the beach in Mexico. Used my 15, 20 & 25 lb KB's. Could have gone a bit heavier...but I'm still practicing form. Workout was 67" and I burned 489 calories.

This was a good, fast moving workout that kept your HR pretty aerobic. Mine hovered around 130 for the entire workout. That's one of the reasons I'm liking KB workouts....cuz you get strength, ballistic movements, functional fitness and cardio in one workout.
I'll most likely play my own music for this workout in the future, as it had some sort of techno music and the instructor counts constantly. I'd rather just rock out!

I don't know why these KB DVDs are so darned expensive. They average $35 to $50 a piece and I already will need a 35 lb KB very soon! Expensive!

Yes, FRIDAY!!!

Lora-Brownies...I know, we are all freaks about food! My thing is that I love to cook, and I like to cook stuff that has tons of butter, carbs, etc! So it just hangs around the house and I pick at it all day long. Your experience has inspired me to make some chocolate cake this weekend. The really good kind from scratch, with cake flour and cocoa... So amazing!!!

I am glad you are getting such a great KB workout, do you think they are so pricey b/c there are so few available on the market? I have heard great things about that PYFH from people here too.

Kel--glad you checked in. I hope you take it easy. We are thinking about you.

Jen-Glad you took a rest day yesterday after GS Legs. I have been trying to put a rotation together for my marathon training. I agree with you though, I will probably have to sacrifice some muscle for cardio endurance. I hope I don't turn into a blob but can run 26 miles. It will be interesting to see.

Hi ladies,

We are getting another snowstorm here today..Just 3 more weeks till spring - right?

Went to pilates this morning and spent alot of time stretching... this is what the doc ordered, as I have been so super stiff this week. I think I overdid it yesterday with housework and such - and was having a hard time with hip and lower back pain.

I ate the last brownie today! Now I need to do cardio on my "so called" rest day tomorrow! Last of the brownie-porn diaries..........pancake porn diaries ....coming soon!!

I'm sore from my KB workout this morning. I'm very happy about that. Sore in the lower back, lats, arms, shoulders, legs and abs. Not anything too bad....but enough to feel like the workout was "different" and did something for me! Too bad I had to eat those calories I burned off...........that darned brownie!

Work was very busy and I got stressed and NEEDED chocolate.

Yve - we are getting that storm right now too. It had turned to rain and now it's ice/snow again. I can't wait for Spring and Summer.

I got my Pure Barre workout in the mail today and I also got a Strength Workout with Trish Muse that I saw on Collage....Strength Attack with Trish Muse. It looks like a decent workout....but the instructor is not that "polished". I'll try it next week. I also got the new one with Rob Glick that Collage had with my coupon gift cert from being in the Catalog and it's supposedly a killer leg workout...which makes me dread it! LOL.
 
Hi ladies! It's my usual rest day and I got home from work late anyway, so no WO for me tonight. We are eating a very yummy Italian dinner.....and dessert! :p
