Well, it's February!! I always feel so much better when January is over. Don't know why, LOL, Feb can be just as cold.

Well, didn't w/o yesterday. Was at the hospital with DB from 7am to 7pm and ate awful x( But that's ok, it's over and done with. He is doing so much better. The disc that had ruptured chipped off and way lying right on the nerve. He has a little post op incisional pain, but his leg pain from the nerve is gone!

Today I am doing heavy legs and will be using the squat rack again. Wooo hooo!! My goal is to do 3-4 sets of 5 reps at 100# today. We'll see.

Do you ladies watch the Super Bowl. I usually watch some, but not all. Usually, I fall asleep LOL!! The commercials are good though!!

Back to report. Leg w/o is done- thank goodness!! Here's my numbers(after warmup sets):
Squats: 100# 3 sets of 5, 2 sets of 4
RDLs: 120# 5x5 (up 10# from last w/o)
Calf raises: 120# 2 sets x 20 reps 1set x 10 reps dropped to 110 and did 10 reps
Bulgarian squats: (legs are fried at this point) 10# 12,10&8 reps

Getting more used to the squat rack and really like it. It seems I can lift a bit heavier than I could with DH helping.

Alright ladies, how are you all doing?

Hey! Wow I'm so glad it's February! I checked my food journal today and my diet was absolutely awful in January. I went over my allowed amount of calories pretty much all month and I'm not exercising as usual because of my back. Today I decided to pick just one day a week to cheat instead of allowing myself to eat treats whenever I want. Once I start I can't stop. I'm also writing how much weight I have to lose to reach my goal weight every time I do a weigh in. I've been struggling with those last 10 darn it. I lose 3-5 more then I gain them back. I got 8.2lbs to go yikes. That'll take me months! Oh and I'm also counting calories before I eat and not after. Yesterday I ate seafood salad and omg I had too much, but that's over. I did a lot of work around the house yesterday, even the dogs got pampered, but when it came time to workout I was beat! so I skipped it and didn't exercise, but I have to do at least a 30 min workout today. I watch the Super Bowl almost every year. There's a really cool sports bar at the airport omg! if you ever come to PR you have to go there. It's so much fun in there, but I can't go this year so I'll stay home and watch bits and pieces if I can.

Affirm - I hope you got some rest this weekend. You were pretty busy last week.

Catherine - I'm glad your brother is doing better. You keep squatting heavy! I'm inspired by your strength. It's so crazy, but before I discovered this site I was scared of aging, but now I look forward to being 30, 40 and beyond. I get inspired all the time with all of you. :)

Ladies, have a nice week!

Rose, you are so dedicated to keep such detailed journals of your eating. Maybe you should focus more on what you look like than waht the scale says. Just a thought. I gave up worrying about the scale a long time ago. Not saying to not weight yourself, but not to focus so much on that number, but rather your body shape/composition.

I am hoping to do a short cardio later :D and really should work abs :+

Affirm, I agree with Rose. Hope you've gotten some rest.

Happy Monday!! I hope everyone is doing ok.

I have some pretty serious DOMs in my legs from yesterdays w/o. You know it's gonna be bad when you roll over it bed and your legs and butt hurt

Today is heavy upper body, so I will be using the bench/rack again. I really am liking this thing. I just need to find a place for it to permently stay. Right now I am sliding it back and forth in my living room. So I have to take all of the wts off, move it and then put the wts back on. There is a place in the family room that I'd like to store it, but we'd have to get different furniture for that room. DH is thinking on it. I will have to help him think on it a little more LOL!

Hello ladies. Glad you all are doing well. I watched a little bit of the superbowl and then decided to watch a lifetime movie instead. I went to bed early and called it an evening. I did manage to fit in PUB during the day.

Hello there! Today I did a Firm tape. I've been doing well with my diet. I have to keep it up. Now I have just one cheat day per week and my cheat day is on Saturday so every single time I'm about to eat something bad I say to myself wait until Saturday lol! I hope that strategy works for me. I watched the Super Bowl and I was soooo happy that the Giants won lol! I still can't get over the fact that BoSox won the World Series and the Yankees lost Joe Torre because of it.x( So I'm definitely happy that the Patriots lost the Super Bowl and didn't have a perfect season after all lol! What can I say my heart belongs to NY. Today I'm watching CNN (Super Tuesday). Very exciting race I have to say. I hope my favorite candidate wins (but I won't say which one is my favorite :p). Take care ladies.

Rose, I need that strategy to. One cheat day a week will definitely make things so much better for me. I am awake this morning, but just too tired to exercise. I didn't get to bed until late and eating was not good yesterday. Well, meals were good, but I had 2 sugar cookies and one was before bed which is a BIG NO NO!

OK, I had one last piece of dove dark chocolate on my desk and I had to get rid of it. That doesn't count right? :+ Eating was good today. Had a huge salad for lunch :p

I didn't w/o last night due to a headache. Tonight I did 4DS legs and chinups. My legs are really taking a beating these days

Hope you ladies are doing ok. We're over the hump for the week!!!

I did a low impact (non-circuit) cardio today. I'm glad you're both listening to your bodies. Don't worry you'll have plenty of days to exercise. Ladies, having just one cheat day a week it's definitely working so far. I've been ignoring oatmeal cookies, candy, even ice cream. My mom brought me some ice cream today and I hid it in the freezer because I knew it wasn't my cheat day and this was light ice cream with fiber and protein! I have to stick to my new plan regardless and even though it was "healthy" ice cream it still has sugar so I didn't eat it. I don't know if you're like me but once I have something sweet I can't stop and allowing myself little treats almost every day adds up when the week ends so one day a week for treats makes sense for me right now.

Oh! I almost forgot, that back stretcher seems to work. My back is more flexible and it's hurting less. I'm still on the easiest level and will increase it soon.

Fitfairy, no that one piece of chocolate doesn't count. You should actually get a reward at the end of the week of getting rid of all the temptations at the office. HAHA.

Rose, I am so glad that your back stretcher is helping. I applaud you for hiding the icecream. The weather here was 70 degrees yesterday and I couldn't believe how warm it is. This is snow season.

I did Muscle Max today. Forgot that my own Max ripped my green band, so when I started looking for it...I remembered. DARN DOG! I love him so.

I did well until today. Our boss invited us to lunch and I had some dessert. I didn't want to say that I couldn't eat it or anything like that so instead of having my cheat day on Saturday I had it today. No biggie. Things happen for a reason so maybe I would've eaten more on Saturday. If I see my niece this weekend I'll give her the ice cream. I enjoyed my lunch though. :p I also did a Firm tape with some traditional abs (not from The Firm) and section 3 of Stretch Max. I'm recovering slowly, but hopefully I'll be ready for STS in a couple of months.

Rose, smart to rearrange your cheat day. Keep up the good work, I am sure you will be ready for STS!!

Affirm, I always keep an extra band around for just such an occasion. I am pretty good about keeping my bands out of my doggies reach, but ya never know!!

I did Interval X+ this evening. That workout kicks my patooty!! I didn't want to w/o this evening, but I did anyway.

Hi ladies. No sweets for me today. I had my cheat day yesterday. However, I am very tired and it's raining and cold (low 70's/high 60's is cold for us  ) so I'm going to rest today and I'll exercise tomorrow. It's going to be a low impact cardio (probably Kick Max's low impact premix).

Catherine - Is Interval X anything like one of the IMax workouts? I'm thinking it probably won't have step before the intervals like the IMax workouts, but I can't imagine what Tony does instead. I'm curious though.

Affirm - The last time my 6ft band broke I went to www.fwonline.com and bought 3 in different colors (green, purple, and gray) to have a variety in terms of intensity. If you (or your doggie) break them often you can also buy a whole roll and cut just what you need. They sell those in there too. I know a lot of ladies in here that buy the roll. I'm not a big fan of the band (I prefer the good ol' weights) that's why I'm good with those three bands for awhile, but I think the roll is a good deal if someone uses the band often.

Yay! The weekend is here. Have a good one!

Rose, Interval X has 15 1 min cycles that he goes through each start at a slower pace for 20 secs then up the intensity for 20 more, then you go all out for the last 20 seconds. Then you repeat that cycle backwards (last interval first, first interval last). The intervals are things like running, jumping jacks with variations, pushups, squat jumps, etc. It's a short w/o 40 mins with w/u and cool down, but it packs a punch. Some say it's not intense. I say you make it what it is :D Hope you enjoy your rest day.

I did P90X+ upper body today. It's a lot of pushups, pullup, chinups with some shoulder, bicep and tricep work thrown in. Pretty good w/o.

Affirm, did ya get a new band yet ;)

Well, I had my cheat meal- McDonald's quarter pounder and a coke. It's never as good as it sounds lOl!! I have a nice salad for dinner :9

Today I did heavy legs. I did squats 100# 5 sets of 5 reps (last week did 3 sets of 5 and 2 sets of 4) Romanian DLs 125# (up 5#) 5x5 Calf raises 130# (up 10#) 3x15. I didn't do the bulgarian squats. Not sure I could balance with one foot back on the step  Suprisingly, the 100# felt easier (not easy, but easier). Next week I will up the wt on the squats a little. I am really enjoying the squat rack!!!

What do you ladies have planned for the weekend?

DH is sick :( Fever, headache and coughing. He has had the flu shot so hopefully it isn't that. And hopefully, I won't get it!!
