Hello Rose and Fitfairy. Your cheat meals sounded sooooo delicious when I read about them. Yummy! A cheat behind you and many more tough workouts ahead. You ladies are just awesome. You are so dedicated and stay on target majority of the time.

I did get some rest this weekend. I got up this morning and did Lo Max. It was so much fun. It is not a workout that I do often. I know they use an 8 inch step, but I continue to use a 6 inc. I have never even tried an 8 inc. with this workout.

My kids return to school tommorrow, so this will be the test as to what the next school year will be like. I went to Sams Club yesterday to pick up some fruit and other goodies to pack lunches for the kids.
 
Hey Affirm, glad you got some rest and got in low max this morning!! That one sneaks up on ya LOL!! It's almost like a leg workout and cardio all in one. I hope everything goes smoothly for you this week.

I am planning heavy legs today and pullups. I also need to get in ab work that I've been procrastinating x( Oh, I got a new BB yesterday. My current BB only goes to 80# max wt and since I am at 75 on benching, squating and DLs I wanted to have one that goes higher. Of course that assumes that DH will continue to spot me ;)

Legs are done. Now just needs to fit in 20 min ss cardio abs and pullups :eek:

Squats: 75# 1x7, 2x6 & 1x5 (was-75# 2x6, 1x5 & 1x4)
Bulgarian Squats: 25# DBs(2) 4x5 (goal was 5x5) (previous 20# 1x8 &2x7)
DL: 80# 3x8 (was 75#)
Plie Squats: 50# (done with front grip or whatever that's called where it rest on your delts)(was 45#)
Calf Raises: 33.75# 3x20 (was 32.5 1x15 and 2x16

It was an awesome workout!!! I hope I can walk later :eek:

Heyyyyyy ladies! Today I did an awesome workout and low impact! KPC's Intermediate intensity cardio + combos 1,2 premix + GS: C&T. I had to modify a couple of moves from KPC, but they were really easy to modify. I'm glad I discovered that premix because I was really tired of doing KM's low impact premix. Diet was good today also.

Catherine - You crack me up. It's like you're feeling a little guilty for skipping cardio and you do it anyways. I'm proud of you for doing it. Btw, if you keeping going up in weights like that your hubby won't be able to spot you very soon. Sounds like you need a squat rack. At least that's the excuse you can use when you buy one. }(

Affirm - Yay! I'm glad you did Low Max. It's a killer isn't it? I'm doing it tomorrow, also on a 6", although my heart rate doesn't go over 60% when I do it on a 6", but I want to go easy on my back. Things will go back to normal when your kids start school tomorrow. I hope you can find a little bit of time for yourself.

New week is starting and August is almost over. Who's ready for fall fashions? I know I am!!!! :D
 
Rose, I am so glad you can modify your w/o and make them fit your needs right now!! Premixes are just awesome!! I didn't use them for the longest time. But then I discovered some w/o I like the premixes better.

Well, Monday is over. Whew!! Affirm, how'd the first day back go for the kiddos? I hope it went well!

I did upper body followed by 20 min on bike. May do stretchmax in a bit. I really could use the extra stretching.

Bench: 75# 1x7, & 4x5 (was excited to get 1 set of 7!! last time was same wt 1x5, 1x4, 1x5 and 2x3)
Pec Flys: 25# 1x7, 1x5 & 1x6 (chest was fried and I didn't want to push it)
DB Row: 42.5 3x8 (last was same wt 3x7)
Bowflex Row 90# (45 each side) 1x10, 120# 3x8 (new for added variety)
OHP: 55# 1x6, 3x5 & 1x4 (last same wt 3x5, 1x4 & 1x3)
Triceps: 17.5 4x5 & 1x4 (last was same wt 2x4 & 3x5)
Incline Curls: 21.25 1x5, 2x4 & 1x3 (increased the wt by 1.25 #) Man these were tough!!!

The day was really good. My youngest started Kindergarten and he was such a big kid today. My oldest got up early because he was so excited about the first day of school.

I didn't exercise this morning, but I did eat well today. I packed my lunch...salmon, mixed veggies and fruit. Speaking of lunch, I better go back for tommorrow.

One more thing...some of my co-workers have already figured out that I am pretty healthy eater already. Not any bad comments or anything, but comments to let me know that they have noticed and say how that is a good thing.
 
Today I did Low Max on a 6 incher. Still fun, but my heart rate doesn't get high at all. I'm still writing everything on my journal and I'm losing inches like crazy (I can't fit in most of my pants, I went down a ring size, and my bracelets are really loose on me), but yet I think I've lost about 1-2 pounds since I started the journal so I don't know. I am doing cardio closer to my fat burning zone instead of going super high on my heart rate and burning calories. The good ol' fat burning vs. calorie burning debate they always talk about in the forums. It seems that going low impact is helping me burn more fat. Oh well...

Fitfairy, if I lifted like you...I wouldn't be able to get out of bed for a few days. DOMS! DOMS! DOMS! You are truly working it these days. What is your DH saying about continuing to spot you as you continue to lift heavier and heavier.

Rose, I am glad that you are seeing some results from the modified exercise plan and food journal. I know you were not that happy about not being able to workout high impact as you normally do, but great things are happening. Congratulations.

This morning was Muscle Max for a total body workout. I love those leg presses with the band. Enjoy your day.

Rose- awesome results girl!! Interesting about the less intense cardio. I've kinda been wondering about that myself. I think I'll stick to one intense interval cardio and keep the rest low key for a while and see what happens.

LOL about the DH? I asked him the other day if he minds and he said no. For now at least he doesn't. I have been working hard esp on legs (since I hate working legs) and am seeing some muscle now in the quads- Yippee!! Only from certain angles though, but it's there. I can esp see the bulge when I do the standing quad stretch. I guess I am easy to please :D

Today will be Imax 2 and abs later.

I also did Muscle Max, but I skipped the abs and did All Step abs instead. Diet has been good. We've been doing better lately let's keep it up!
 
Good Morning Ladies. I forgot to tell you that I am celebrating 39 today. I am skipping my workout, but still plan to watch what I eat today....because I will be having some CAKE!

You are right Rose, we have been doing better lately. Group Hug!
 
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Affirm!

Today I did Power Yoga for Beginners. It was surprisingly challenging this time around. I guess I should keep doing it once a week. Tomorrow is my scheduled rest day.
 
Hey ladies!! Affirm, I am glad you had a good day. Rose which Power Yoga for Beginners do you have? I really should do more yoga&/stretching.

I did PS legs and chinups. Chinups were sets of: 6,6,5,5,5,4,4,4. Still struggling to get that 7th rep x(

Tomorrow is supposed to be rest. But I may w/o and take Friday off instead. I guess we'll see!!
