Hello all!! I wish I had good things to report x( I was back on track for a few days, but then the weekend came and x( x( I've been working out. But my eating hasn't been the best. It's time to recommit!!

Today I did lowmax intervals 1-4 with chinups between intervals and then I did my own version of a upper body workout: 3 sets of 8 reps each Bench press 45 # (could have gone heavier- a little) one arm rows at 32.5 pounds (probably need 35) over head press with 15 (should have done 17.5) rear delt flies 12 #, skull crushers 13.5 pounds and concentration curls with 20 # I am sufficiently fried

Hope you all have had a great weekend!!

You ladies have been doing great with your exercise routine. I am so proud of you. Well, May is here and I am determined to do better this month. My evenings are much busier now than they were due to the kids activities. Now, I am getting to bed later which means it is harder for me to get up. I have been so exhausted. My eating was good today though. No sweets! My weight is staying the same, so that makes me feel good.

Affirm, sometimes life just makes it difficult to do the things we love (or hate to love) doesn't it? I can not imagine being able to do this with children. So kudos to you. I hope it slows down for ya.

Today I did BM2 cardioblast premix. Whew that one wears me out. Eating has been some better. But I am back to lacking in the veggie category.

Hey Rose where are ya?

Please tell me you ladies are just busy and not giving up on me!!! Things are doing well eating pretty clean and working out. This weekend will be a challenge for me eating wise. It is the KY Derby on Sat. It's practically a holiday around here. We always have a big get together and of course eat and drink all day. I think I will buy me a big salad and take it with me.

Today I did S&H legs only with chinups- a total of 22. Also did B&G abs. I am whooped. Leg work really gets my HR up. It's almost like I am doing a cardio workout.

Hope you ladies are doing OK!!

Hey Catherine and Affirm! Wow I can't believe I'm back. I had a migraine for 3 days last week and when I finally got better I was having problems with my internet. All the time I kept thinking wow I can't post in the check-in what a bummer! Anyway I've been sick and the doctor said to go easy with exercise so I exercised only on Sunday and Tuesday. Today I can't exercise either, but I'm going to exercise tomorrow and on the weekend. My diet has been ok, but could be better. I'm not giving up. You know this check-in helps me a lot, so there's no way I'm giving up and besides, summer's right there on the corner. Take care ladies.

I need to workout asap. I'm starting to get cranky. I'm not sure what I'll do today though. Oh and I have to watch my diet closely again because IBS symptoms are coming back. Yikes. I hope you ladies have a great weekend.

Rose, I wonder what you decided to do today for your workout??

My eating is way off today. It's Derby weekend (the Kentucky Derby) We have little get togethers all weekend. Of course that causes eating. I need to be stronger tomorrow. I will try to fill up on a good salad before I go over to my sisters. Hopefully that will help.

Today I did upper body. I did bench press 50# 5x5,lat row 35# 3x8, millitary press 40# 3X8, skull crushers 13.5 5x5, and concentration curls 20# 4x6. Then later I did kickbox with my new 1.5 # weighted gloves. My upper body should be sore tomorrow LOL!!

Hey Affirm, how ya been doing?

I'm just posting to say I NEED THIS CHECKIN. And waving to Catherine!!!! Have fun at the Derby!!!

Briee

Another rest day (yikes), but my diet was cleaner than usual (and I ate less calories than usual to make up for the lack of exercise). Surprisingly I haven't gained an ounce. I guess eating clean is the key for maintenance if working out is not an option.

Have fun at the Derby Catherine. How cool. Whoa! You sure can lift heavy. Maybe I should try to do heavy lifting with small reps and see if it works for me. You know I'm always changing things up.

And Briee? If you need this check-in, why don't you join us? We're a small, but determined group. I've dropped 8 pounds since January and I still have 12 more to go. I thought I'd never lose the last 20, but here I am still losing and reaching my goal slowly, but surely. I know this check-in has helped me get back on track when I cheat on my diet and it makes me feel guilty when I don't exercise so it definitely helps.

Your so sweet Rose11! Thanks for the invitation. I want to lose ten, but these are the LAST 10 and they are SO HARD TO LOOSE. I'm mad at myself for putting them on! BUT if I commit..I really want to commit. Thanks for being so encouraging and I just may join!!

Briee

You're welcome Briee.

Ladies, today I got back on track with my workouts. I did LL + All Step (shoulders, abs & stretch). I didn't do any cardio though. I increased the weights for most exercises in LL and AS and I was wiped out when I was done so there's no way I was going to do cardio. My diet has been surprisingly clean. The doctor told me that I can cut a bit more of my daily calories so now my snacks are 10 cals less and my three meals are about 50 cals less. If I add the calories I burn when I workout I can go back to losing instead of seeing the same number in the scale every Sunday and Thursday. We'll see how this works out. There's a music fest in San Juan in a month or so and we're going to have Bon Jovi (yeahhh!) and some other local, and non-local bands. Pretty cool and since I'm going to see people I haven't seen in years well I have to twist things up a bit because I want to look as close as my weight goal as possible. I'm starting slowly with my workouts for a couple of weeks. CTX is ideal for that because the workouts are shorter. After that is GS and we'll see what else I can come up with.

I hope you're having tons of fun Catherine.

Affirm!!!! Where are ya?
