Hi Chicklets!

I actually managed to get a run in yesterday. It didn't rain and I did about 3 miles. It wasn't the best run but at least I did it.

My sister got her new car yesterday - a 2012 Buick Regal in Black. It's really sporty (she was driving my aunt's 1998 Buick Regal). They have really changed. It's a beautiful car!! I have to get mine soon before the oil leak gets too bad.

Here is tonight's workout. If it rains I substitute something for the 400m Run.

Jump rope - 25 secs work/15 secs rest - 15 sets
Then - Reps 20, 15, 10, 5
Clean, Squat, Press R/L (or double)
1-Arm Kettebell Swings R/L
Pull over Sit ups
400m Run (after each round)

I'm off work tomorrow as we have to take mom Gainesville for her oncologist appt, then off to Jacksonville for an overnight shopping trip. We will be back on Saturday afternoon.

Alisha ~ I'm sorry the interview didn't work out. Hope you have a nice joggle tomorrow. 40 minutes of Kick Max sounds good.

Tricia ~ What does Stephen have against the South?

I will be back on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Have a great Friday!

Hi Alisha! At least you got some workout in! I still have not started. Hope tomorrow is better for workouts!

Jane - the only thing he doesn't like is the heat, oh, and the humidity! We are opposites! I hate the cold and he loves it. He hates the heat and I love it! Sigh, hope we get to meet somewhere in he middle at some point!

I still haven't gotten my $100 gift certificate code from Cathe yet, but I keep checking daily! Can't remember how long it took last time. I know it's only been a couple of days, but I'm excited!

I really need to get a handle on my mental state. Once I accomplish that, the rest will fall back into place.

I'm definitely getting that Zombies Run app. Just have to get me an iTunes card this weekend. Ready for the work week to be over.

Have a great night and TGIF tomorrow!

Default I'm up!

I enjoyed yesterday's hike. I had a protein shake about a half hour ago and I'm planning on doing JM's Shred it with Weights (Kettle bells), followed by Kathy Smith's Fat Burning Workout (Hi/Lo). Tomorrow will be a yoga day.

I have to get the oil in my car changed.

Tricia-You have that backwards. Your mental state won't improve until you start working out. It doesn't work in the other direction. You keep waiting for motivation, but the ability to control ourselves and our habits is directly tied to whether or not we got exercise. Don't use motivation to get your workout. Just do it. Then you can use your new found will power (earned with kettlebell swings and laps around the block.) to stay on track with your diet. Come on, we can do it together.

Jane-I hope your Mom's visit to the oncologist goes well. I could handle living in FL again, I don't mind the heat as much, but I really hate being cold all the time!

Alisha - Thanks! You're right. Well, I got Zombies Run today, so I'll start that on Monday. My car wouldn't start yesterday morning, so had to beg a ride in to work and a ride home. I hate that! You'd think my co-workers would offer a ride home without me having to hunt and beg. I felt horrible. Why should I feel bad? I'll walk before I beg ever again! Tough week. At least it was just the battery, but now I owe one of my attorneys lunch! lol

Enjoy your workout today! Glad you had a nice hike yesterday!

I got me a young Thai coconut today at Whole Foods! Excited to finally try one!

Hi Jane! Hope your mom's appointment went well and you had a fun shopping day!

Default Happy Bunny Day!

Tricia- I hate begging for help. It sux. I need to get that Zombies app. That coconut sounds delicious!!! That reminds me, I have coconut milk to use. I could make some coconut and date rice today! Have a great Easter! Hug all your pets and tell Stephen that all your friends appreciate that he appreciates you!

Jane- I hope you are having a wonderful Easter! How is your Mom?

I'm leaning towards a yoga day. I have brand new Shiva Rea (spl?) discs that must come out of their shrink wrap. I want to try the 'yoga for women' disc. The rest of the week will be CTX. I haven't done a whole week of CTX in forever. Its an oldie but its a goodie.

Alisha - we're cracking the coconut today. Thanks for your support!

I read The Runner's Guide this weekend. The game sounds so fun! I'm starting it tomorrow. Just charged my iPod Nano and my Garmin is now charging! I think it's supposed to rain, but I'm going anyway!

Enjoy the yoga and let me know how you like the new Shiva Rhea yogas. I can't ever spell it either!

Hope you're having a great day! Ours has been quiet. The sun is just coming out today.

My Viognier is not cooperating and I had to send an email to the company to ask what to do. They're off until Tuesday. I'm hoping the SG drops so I end up not needing them. Either way, I hope it will still be viable. I don't want to waste it and have to start over. That'd be an expensive throw away! Wish me luck!

Hi Jane!

Tricia- I hope your viognier is behaving itself. Did you enjoy your zombie run?

I took yesterday as a rest day. Today I have to drive down to Lockford (close to Galt.) and pick up a yellow digital level that we forgot on Saturday. I'm going to have my CTX All Step (shoulders) + 4DS HIS (cardio only premix.) mish mosh later in the afternoon. I forgot to do my laundry again I can't do my workouts without my workout pants.

Jane- Did you have a good Easter?

Hi Girls,

I'm sorry I have been MIA for so long. The weekend just flew by. My mom's appointment went well and we are awaiting the results from one of her tests. She is doing better and seems to be out of the depression she was in a couple of weeks ago.

Shopping and a change of scenery was nice. My goal was to do buy clothes and stay in budget which I did. So I'm happy I didn't cave. My eating was ok but I allowed for that. I had only 1 naughty meal each day so I think that is pretty good.

Yesterday was a 8 mile run. It was 48 degrees!! What?? It felt good though. I have to remind myself that it's going to be hot for the next 5 months so enjoy the chill while I can. We didn't really do anything for Easter. The Easter bunny was in my yard though so I said hello to him (so cute).

I'm doing an upper body workout tonight but haven't figured out exactly what workout yet.

Tricia ~ I hate begging people for rides and stuff. When my sister worked down here it was great because I could take my car in and stuff. Then I just felt bad about begging people all the time, even though I always included lunch or something. Now I just take my car in on weekends. I wish my sister would find a job down here.

I looking at new cars on Saturday. My sister just bought the Buick Regal. It is not an old person's car anymore. That car is just SWEET!! She let me drive in on Saturday and I didn't want to give it up. Since I have $3000 in GM Money I'm probably looking at the Regal or the LaCrosse. I would love the Enclave but it's too pricey. I also like the Terrain but the gas mileage isn't very good.

Alisha ~ While you are doing your laundry will you do mine too! Hope you have a good trip today. Enjoy your workout.

I skipped the shoulders/abs in favor of a pilattes DVD from Kathy Smith. I did do the All Step cardio and 4DS LIS cardio. Tomorrow will be another CTX/4DS mish mosh with 10/10/10 plus the 4DS KB cardio premix.

I just got a call from my Mom, there is a job fair in town and Cal pers will be there recruiting. I have an outfit ready to go, printed out two resumes, and I'm my nails a nearly dry (just the base coat). I use a phathalate free brand (spl?). Its dark and rainy out there. I better make sure I have the workout clothes in the washer. I'm a little keyed up. No real reason. I might need to do a healing meditation before I put on my clothes. Those only take 20 minutes. I don't have to leave for two hours. My blender bottle (bpa free, the pink one with the little wire wisk ball.) is clean, I plan to have a protein shake before I go and to get some fish after the job fair.

Jane-Good job on your run!!! Its kind of cold here too. Go figure. I saw an Easter Bunny in my front yard. I think my flowers are in danger, the bunnies love to eat the blossoms. I guess flowers are nutritious.

I'm glad your Mom is starting to feel a little bit better. My Aunt Peggy (the one recovering from non hodgkins lymphoma, a heart attack, and stint surgery.) has had success with light massage. It seems to be helping her recover from the chemo and has helped with her depression. Do you think that would help your Mom?

That car sounds great. As soon as I have my next job, I will be looking at a new car. I'm leaning towards the Kia Soul in light green. I call it the rat mobile in honor of the commercial.

Tricia-How are you liking the zombies?

Alisha

I am taking a rest day.

Here was my workout from last night. This was tough and had a good cardio feel about it. My heart rate was up there. Shoulders are very toasty today.

A minute work of work/10 seconds of rest - 4 rounds
Hand to Hand Swings
Double Kettlebell Press
Kettlebell Halos
Double Kettlebell Rows
Double Kettlebell Floor Press
Walkouts
Finisher:
30 Push Ups
50 Rope Slams
30 Pull ups

Alisha - Good Luck with the job fair. We have a bunny in our yard every day from Spring until Fall. They like our grass. We don't have many flowers, just lots of shrubs and bushes. My sister speaks French to bunny when we workout (she is weird).

We have talked to mom about getting a massage but she hasn't taken us up on the offer yet. My sister goes once a week and has talked to my mom about it. I think my mom is more interested in a facial. I guess the healing process comes in waves. It seems like she will be doing good for a couple of weeks and then BAM she gets aches and pains again. The oncologist told her the pain is from the radiation not chemo. She said the chemo drugs leave your body quickly. I have encouraged her to walk everyday or get some sort of exercise but she isn't there yet. I wish I could go over there every day and get her outside and walk but I can't.

Tricia ~ Don't let the Zombies get you!! They would probably get me because I run very slowly.
