Morning!

http://bestsmileys.com/rainbow/2.gif

I'm working at home today, first time in ages, taking a break in my pajamas ( http://bestsmileys.com/thumbs/3.gif ) eating watermelon and string cheese. I'd like to be eating marble cake with white frosting and strawberries. Leftover. After the icing has gotten slightly hard around the edges. Robin. Leftovers. Any?

Jen - What will the Kitties be doing during your trip?

Michele - What, Dana has been gone, too?

Hi, Dana!

Today was stretch day and I added on some Winsor Buns & Thighs. And now I'm off to my work room.

:* :*

ETA : I had to come back to laugh at myself for such a weird half-a$$ post with not much of an ending at all. :)

I'm taking another break.

:)

It's great to work at home.

:)

Can I tell you what I found surfing the internet?

I found a full-blown forum - really, a major forum - entirely and solely about Automatic Litter Boxes!! http://bestsmileys.com/cats2/18.gif Is that great or what?! People go there to talk wildly about their litter box experiences!

So you guys....what's everybody use here? Not that I need to know. :*

Goodmorning August. How wonderful to wake up to your pithy post. even without a real ending. I'm so happy you have a pajama and string cheese day. You can have leftover carrot cake, chocolate cake and cheese cake as well as the marble cake. I'm back on the tidy eating bandwagon today.

Jen, wow, that is one whirlwind trip. Sounds exhausting. Almost like a workout!

Diane, did I tell you how lovely the nursery is turning out? I love the colors. Girly, but sophisticated.

Michele, did Eli recognize you? Italy....?????

Dana, are you still weight watching? Is it still working? I've been checking in with the clean eaters and did pretty well for a couple weeks, but it only seems to take one bad day (yesterday) to screw it all up.

Shelley, did you see my post that we are getting a Target? Yipee!!!

Have a hateful day all. You know I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Morning haters.

August - seriously, how much can one talk about litter boxes????? That is weird!!!!

Robin - how was your b-day yesterday? WW sucks!!! HA! I need to get back to WW seriously. I weighted myself of Fri morning and was like, YEAH!!! But then when I weighed myself yesterday I was up 5lbs????? And I wasn't even eating that badly?????? Yes I love my boss. She is wonderful. But all this work is ridiculous.

Hi Michele, Shelley and Jen and Corrie. And everyone else!!!

August and Dana -- YEA!!!

Hi Robin!!

I can't play right now but I wanted to say "hi" before I have to leave. I have an appointment out of town this morning :-( . I wish I could blow it off but I can't. I'll BBL to play some;) :) :* :* :*

Ahhhhh, back from a relaxing evening with Mom.

I finished my work http://bestsmileys.com/angles/3.gif .

Tomorrow I'm getting my hair done for the first time since....like since the last time I was posting regularly http://bestsmileys.com/hat/4.gif .

Robin - How on earth do you go back to clean eating with all that evil in your fridge? http://bestsmileys.com/drooling/3.gif

I just opened my fridge to see watermelon. Lots of watermelon.

Dana - You would not even believe the Automatic Litter Box forum. I swear, it's like as big as the Cathe forum and I'm not even joking. Major discussions on kitty poo and how it gets automatically scooped away (or smeared if you get the wrong box http://bestsmileys.com/scared/6.gif )

Hmm. What shall I do? I have NOTHING to do! It's 10pm over here. Maybe I'll eat some watermelon.

August! Glad you got to work from home today!

Robin - Thank you about the nursery!

Okay, baby name poll here. We are now thinking about the following names.

Ava
Charlotte

DH loves Ava. I like it, but I am concerned it is too popular (#5 in US).

We both like Charlotte, and I like the nickname Charlie (though DH doesn't like nicknames). DH thinks it is too long (9 letters) and he likes Ava b/c it is short (though I think this is a silly reason).

Middle name would probably be Grace for either name.

ETA: I have lots to say about automatic litter boxes! We used one for Lucy and it work okay for while, but we tried to use it for Sadie and Sydney and they didn't like it. They like to dig a lot, and the automatic box was just not deep enough. So they would dig to the very bottom and go poo on the box itself. So it would get messy to say the least. We got them a very deep box (and put liners it) and they are very happy now.

Hi, Diane!

I'm so glad your pregnancy is going so well, and the baby room is really cute. I can totally imagine you sitting in the chair with your daughter in the middle of the night!

Or maybe I'm envisioning the middle of the night because it's almost 3am here and the Sleepies are nowhere in site.

LOL about Sadie and Sydney scratching down to the bottom of the box. You could make some good friends over at the Automatic Litter Box forum LOL.

Does the litter box smell? Do you use a lid? Did you try out different litters?

Not that I need to know. http://bestsmileys.com/tempted/1.gif

ETA : Oh, oh, names....names......Ava is the #5 most popular name in America?! You're kidding! I don't know anybody named Ava. Or Charlotte for that matter.

Ava makes me think of a woman. No doubt from Ava Gardner.
Charlotte makes me think of a studious girl. Probably Charlotte's Web.

I'm not being helpful. I'll stop now.

ROFLMAO at this turning into a forum about litter boxes, August and Diane. OK, my 2cents. Get your DH to clean the litter boxes. Then no one cares if they are dirty, smelly, automatic, manual.

I LOVE Ave. I LOVE Charlotte. I'm no more help than August, am I? I've been partial to Isabelle ever since I named my DD Emily.

Dana, my birthday was great - filled with cake! Hey, check out the Emergency in the woman's locker room thread on the Open forum for ideas of what to do when the scale says you gained 5 lbs.

Michele, ITALY??????

August -

I am cracking up because Charlotte makes me think of a studious little girl too. But we kinda like that b/c both DH and I were studious little well-behaved children, and that is sort of how people view us as a couple - studious well-manner people.

I used the Littermaid automatic box with Fresh Step litter. It worked pretty well with Lucy and didn't smell. We only had to change the litter a couple times a week. Like I said, Sadie and Sydney did not like how shallow it was. None of them had a problem with the noise of the machine, which I remember some cats do (I read reviews before buying). Even with Lucy though, you had to scrap the bottom of the box and clean it out every once in a while. I like that you don't have to do that with our current box with a liner. Also, taking the plastic thing filled with poo out was a little annoying - not difficult, just litter could go flying sometimes. We had a big cover that is made especially for the box (had a hole for the plug). We stopped using the cover b/c it broke, so now we have to vacuum up litter a lot. I want to buy one of those cute wicker covers, but they are $100 and DH thinks it is silly.

Robin - I love the name Isabella, but my sister already "claimed" that name, along with Kate, a while back and I will respect her wishes, even though she is currently not married (or going through a divorce) and kids are probably a while away. I would be ticked if she ever "stole" one of my names so I can't even consider that name. DH LOVES the name Kate, but I don't think it works well with our last name.

I am starting to really like Charlotte. DH really likes Ava, but Charlotte is growing on him. So we will see what we end up with.
