Cathlete
Morning!

Er, good afternoon! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/sleep008.gif

I am off on a verrrry late start. I ended up not being able to fall asleep until about 4:30am and then finally managed to get myself up at 11am. So it's now 3:30pm and I've just finished my smoothie.

I did ME upper body premix and hey, it was pretty good! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/dance001.gif

You know, I've gotten into the bad habit of trying to collect as many pieces of cardboard off my carpet as I can in between sets. Not a good habit. Though my carpet looks better after I workout.

I'm definitely going to get a bird feeder to hang from the metal bars of my balcony. One question - what would be the difference in say, just scattering seed on the balcony itself? We're talking wind factor stuff? Okay, okay, I'll get a feeder.

Lastly, Robin said something very important and I thought I should copy paste it here for you all to read one more time, as it really reflects what I am feeling, as proven by my rotation :

>Amazingly, I've been doing wonderfully with my eating and have lost a couple pounds, all without any cardio! Maybe you haters are on to something.

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/basic/worthy.gif

I shall remind you that Robin was also the genius behind recommending I do my leg DVDs but skip over the lunging and squatting, thus making for a great compact workout.

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/basic/worthy.gif

No cardio! No squats/lunges! WOO HOO!

Whoops... I mean...

DANA - What Pilates workout? LOL. Nope. I didn't get to it yet so it's still bold on my dang rotation list which I hate to see every morning LOL. Being sick twice already this year sucks. Do you have a plan for getting back into a rotation soon now that you're feeling better?

>We were intruded by tons of birds and they pooped all over my deck and grill.

LOL. I can see how that wouldn't trump watching birds nibble at seeds.

>My MIL's neighbors have different types of feeders for different birds and you should see all the different birds that visit them. It is really cool!

That is totally cool. When I was growing up in Oregon, as you can imagine, we had a TON of wildlife in the backyard and it was so normal and no big deal to me. I don't think there was a day that would pass by without seeing all kinds of birds, squirrels (real ones LOL), opossums, the sometimes duck or two, and even a peacock if you can believe it, and various neighborhood cats.

I can hear a lot of birds outside my window here in Tokyo (and so can Mooch and Cham), so hopefully I'll be able to lure them in for some entertainment.

>This morning on my way to work I saw the weirdest thing. I saw this strange man dresses in camoflauge pants, a trench coat, carrying a rifle. He looked so odd. So I get to work

LMAO! You see that and you just go to work?! LOL!

Good luck on the workout room! We're keeping our fingers crossed for light and other goodies LOL!

ROBIN - Glad to hear that your knee is doing better and your home is getting cleaner. That's a nice bonus!

>Hey August, I just googled birds of Japan. If someone looks up at your balcony with binoculars and yells "Great Tit," don't get offended!

OMG!! LMAO!!!

Offended?! Heck no, I'd be FLOORED! :p

>August, birds are amazing and will find the feeder. I'm interested in what kind of birds you have in Japan.

I'm really looking forward to getting the feeder and setting it up for Mooch and Cham...er, I mean, the birdies. It will be such fun! I have to find some time to go to the store to pick stuff up.

MICHELE - Heya! Were you able to get some good rest? I'm so glad to hear you had a nice dinner out with your DH.

>I don't think she'll have full use of that arm (her dominant, right arm)

Being a lefty and having extra brain talents because of it ;) , I must say that your niece is in for a nice treat! Working with her other arm will open up all sorts of cool brain doors for sure! :)

SHANNON - Just had to say hi to you again! :)

All right, jeez, it's almost time for dinner.

Laters! :D

Good morning!!

I'm sitting at my computer with a big, hot cup of coffee -- Ahhhhhhhhh -- trying to catch up on everything I've missed around here. DH had to go in to work this morning so I got up earlier than usual for a Saturday x( . Anyway, I really don't have time for tomfoolery as I need to shower and get my patooty over to the rehab joint.

Did y'all see the blog update!? http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/happy057.gif

The more I see of STS, the more excited I am to get it! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/happy038.gif

Uh oh, I forgot to feed Johnny boy  . I'll BBL :*

http://www.kidcorral.ca/forum/images/smilies/Good Morning.gif

Okay, I was wondering why Johnny was having a hissy fit -- LMAO!

Augie, so what did you think about the blog update!? Well, I guess the one-legged sit squat isn't something you'd enjoy, but how about the rest of it!? What? What? What's that look all about? LMAO!!
http://www.kidcorral.ca/forum/images/smilies/geekon.gif

http://www.kidcorral.ca/forum/images/smilies/chatter.gif

Ooh! Ooh! Fun new smilies!! http://www.kidcorral.ca/forum/misc.php?do=showsmilies

Augie, are you getting the squirrels a bird feeder today? http://www.kidcorral.ca/forum/images/smilies/birdfeeding.gif

They might enjoy a fish bowl, too http://www.kidcorral.ca/forum/images/smilies/snowflake.gif

Time for more coffee http://www.kidcorral.ca/forum/images/smilies/coffeesmile.gif

How about that ball squeeze? http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/eatdrink059.gif

I've decided to wait and go see my niece later today. Several people are coming to see her today so, after careful consideration, I don't see why I need to run over there this morning, do you? am I a mean old auntie for staying home this morning? I would like to do a workout. It's officially been more than a month since I've worked out ;(

OMG, I love that geek one LOL.

Oh yeah, one-legged sit squat. It's what I do every day...NOT.

I tried that kidcorral one but I can't figure out how to get the smilies. Hey wait a minute, you're using Mac. How the heck did you use those smilies?! http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/mad/mad0001.gif

>Augie, are you getting the squirrels a bird feeder today?

I was looking online but I can't figure out what kind would be best yet...plus, there doesn't seem to be much available in Japan...or maybe I'm just not looking where I need to... http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/ashamed/ashamed0003.gif

It's 11:11pm and I'm getting hungry. Considering I ate breakfast at 11am, I guess I still have a meal left, eh? }(

ETA - ooh, we must have been working on our posts at the same time. If there are other people visiting your niece, SHE'D be better off with a visit from you later on.

Wow, it's been a month already? Time sure flies. Whatcha gonna do?

Ball squeeze. Heh.

Hello Haters.

Just refilled my bird feeder and already tons of birds out there.
They were waiting for a refill.

A few years ago, I did see a Cardinal here. But not yet.

No workouts yet. Maybe, later on today. Kinda tired from shoveling this week plus work stress.

Time to get to Meijer before the Artic Clipper hits us with blowing snow.

BBL and Have a Fun Saturday!!

Surely they have bird feeders in Japan. You could always put some seed in a saucer or something until you find one. We used to have one in our backyard that we hung on a crook arm, kind of like this:

That probably wouldn't work on your balcony as it would have to be pounded into the ground. ;)

Lessee here...OMG this is what you need! It attaches to a window with suction cups!

http://www.shopwbu.com/img/product_images/567/t80_0385ce1e6e5bcedc6866324f38a557b3.jpg

I have no clue which workout I will do. The one you did would kill me. I'll probably have to go back to Kari Love for awhile. I'll probably do a walking DVD today.:p

WTH is Kari Love -- LMAO!!! Jari -- I meant Jari Love :p

Hey, Jennifer, wow, that many birds? Okay, tell me what kind of feeder you have. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/mad/mad0037.gif

Michele, that one of the one I'd need to pound into the ground (LOL) would be good. I read that it's good to have an open one like that for better viewing pleasures. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/evilgrin/evilgrin0010.gif

But then there's that question again - why not just use a ceramic bowl?

I've read that the suction ones pop off pretty easily. I guess Mr. and Miss Bird wouldn't appreciate that. Though that would really give some good views, eh?

I know Robin said the birds will find the thing on my balcony, but I just can't imagine it! I'll be going out on Tuesday, so maybe I can pick up some bird food then.

>WTH is Kari Love -- LMAO!!! Jari -- I meant Jari Love

Oh darn, I was getting all ready to poke fun.

>Wild Birds Unlimited

LMAO!!! You're kidding me! http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/party/party0028.gif

Ooh, I like that one you posted...and it's buffet style. Nice! I wonder if the suction ones really do pop off or not.

>f you can't find a bird feeder I'd be happy to ship one to you.

You sweetie. There are Great Tit s in Japan. There must be something here to feed them. :D

Augie -- I think a bowl on the balcony would be fine, although I have to tell you that I hang HEAVY Christmas wreaths on all of my windows using suction cups and I've never had one fall.

OMG how wild!! I just wrote that there are Great Tit s in Japan, but the internet blocked the word with XXXX!! I'm only talkin' 'bout BIRDS!!

LOL.

Watch..here, I'm writing #### .......

>I hang HEAVY Christmas wreaths on all of my windows using suction cups and I've never had one fall.

I read about a person who had their suction feeder fall. Maybe she just didn't put enough liquid on it LOL.

Maybe I'll try looking for one here!

Do you think it makes a difference if 1) The thing isn't hanging and swaying and 2) The cats will be eye to eye with them?

>OMG how wild!! I just wrote that there are Great Tit s in
>Japan, but the internet blocked the word with XXXX!! I'm only
>talkin' 'bout BIRDS!!
>
>LOL.

GREAT ####!!! ####!! Look at the #### feeding on my balcony -- Bwahahahahaha!

>I read about a person who had their suction feeder fall.
>Maybe she just didn't put enough liquid on it LOL.

We don't put any liquid on our suction cups.

>Do you think it makes a difference if 1) The thing isn't
>hanging and swaying and 2) The cats will be eye to eye with
>them?

Mooch and Cham will enjoy the birds no matter at what level they see them. I always have a flock of birds on my patio and they keep Johnny entertained for hours :7

OMG! It bleeped out my ####, too -- LMAO!

ETA - Okay you non Mac people, can you see the word TIT in my post or do you just see the ### symbol? I mean, we were just talking about birds! I wonder what happens if you type butt. Can you see my butt? Not my real butt, but the word butt -- LMAO!

>We don't put any liquid on our suction cups.

LMAO. Why does that sound funny...they just suck without any dab of water?

>Mooch and Cham will enjoy the birds no matter at what level they see them.

LMAO! It's not Mooch and Cham I'm worried about --- it's the birds! If they're eye to eye with my nutty squirrels, I'd imagine they'd search for seed elsewhere LOL.

>I wonder what happens if you type butt. Can you see my butt? Not my real butt

LMAO!!!!!!

Makes me want to make a list of words to see which ones will go through. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/evilgrin/evilgrin0044.gif

Okay, I'm going to attempt SLEEP.

Come sleep. Come to me....

####.

LOL.

My bird feeders are attached to a long bar with a hook on it. Mine are attached to a tree but can be easily attached to metal hook, if your balcony has one, to hang down onto your deck. Here, there are some apts that hang them with their hanging baskets for plants. My first one came from a specialty store for birds but my second one came from Lowe's. My bird feed comes from an organic produce shop around the corner and it's cheaper and better than the store brands.

My old cat, Adrian, who passed away over 2 years ago, would just fall asleep on his chair and listen to the birds while dreaming.

Haven't worked out yet, thinking tonight before BBC on PBS comes on.

Have a Great Night, Auggie.

Michele-Hope you're feeling better and your family is doing well.

August and Michele, what a team you are.

August, I have a window feeder and it never popped off. The birds prefer the ones hanging from the tree farther away though. If you get a window feeder, don't give them any other choice.

Michele, I hope you enjoyed your morning at home. How to you get those silly smilies to work? I saw the website, but couldn't figure out how to post one. Yeah, I was looking at the geek one too. LOL.

We had one heck of a night here. DGS has a cold and was wheezing and coughing. He would wake up and cry. DH has a terrible cough and was up all night too. My knee was achey last night. We were all up about 2am and ended up giving Greyor a breathing treatment with his nebulizer. He's been much better since, but I'm still exhausted. I got up to make some cookies for a church function to be held this afternoon, but the predicted 1 inch of snow has turned into a lovely 4 incher so far, with no sign of stopping. I think I'll just stay home an nap.
