Morning!

So I woke up at 8:30am a la Mooch but got up anyway because I was just so eager to put out the dang bird seed! http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/party/party0021.gif

I haven't had a chance to go looking for a bird feeder, which I know is going to confuse those birdies if I do end up getting one of those window suction type ones.....but I simply can't wait! I scattered some feed along the edge of the balcony, and I put a fairly large square heavy glass plate of the stuff on the balcony itself. It's been two hours now and no takers.

GET YOUR FEATHER BUTTS OVER HERE!! THERE'S YUMMY SEED A-WAITIN!

Mooch and Cham were so curious about the seed and my going out onto the balcony, which they've never seen before (yes, I'm being extremely careful not to let them get out with me -- I would absolutely pass out). Oh those darn teases. FLY YOURSELVES DOWN TO AUGUST'S FOR SOME GOOD PICKENS!

JENNIFER - Wow, so much snow must be....well, good for your exercise add-on LOL. It's sunny here today in Tokyo.

You usually fill up your feeder once a week or so? The woman at the store told me I could try putting the feeder out in the mornings and then put it away from the afternoon or else pigeons might appear LOL. She also told me I could try cutting up APPLES and putting them out. I think this is also a GREAT idea LOL.

Hey haters!

Don't have much energy to post, just lurk, LOL! I'm still not feeling great since the trip- lots of people have a bad cold though that went on the trip & lots of others at the office do also. Chad talked to his doc friend today & called me & put him on the phone & he told me to go get simply saline & use it. He said if my snot is clear, which it is, it's a cold and going to the doc to get med won't help. Just time & rest...he doesn't know me very well!

Anyway, last night workout was wimpy cause I felt horrible- BM2 upper body, Firm It Up floor work, and bun shaper by beach body. Tonight was Shape It Up & cleaning.

I feel asleep with my head on Chad lap last night on the couch about 8:15 & he woke me up at 9:45 to put me in bed. I was so tired & am again tonight. x( :-( I wish I had energy... I am going to try to keep up with the workouts until Friday then take that as my rest day & hopefully hit it hard this weekend.

Sorry for my lack of personals, I stink, I know. ;(

August! I love the bird conversation. Don't worry, they will come. We had a Red Bellied Woodpecker at the feeder this morning. Poor thing kept trying to climb up the leg of the plastic table one of the feeders is on as if it was a nice rough tree trunk. He kept slipping back to the ground.

Dana, did you make it home alright? I sure hope you didn't have to go in early this morning. Penn College is closed, so everyone is home today.

Jenn, don't you hate coming home from a lovely vacation and getting sick? Feel better soon.

Jennifer, good luck to you commuting this morning too. We got about 5 inches of snow last night and now it is covered with a layer of freezing rain. DH hasn't shoveled yet. I think he's in for a big job.

Michele, gosh, we miss you! I hope and pray your niece is making headway on her recovery. And your brother. Hugs to all.
 
I got home earlier than I expected and thought I'd take in a peaceful late evening...when all of a sudden we had another Poo Incident. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/sick/sick0012.gif I was waiting to remove of Mooch's #2 and I think my standing there must have made him feel rushed, as he tripped a bit and then RAN out of the litter box....leaving behind a trail of um, cookie crumbs. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/sad/sad0043.gif

So I've spent the hour cleaning everything, and Mooch is now trying to lick the bath water off his footsies.

And my pajamas are in the laundry.

ROBIN - LOL at the incredible sliding Woodpecker. What a goof. You must know your birds. I hope some will gather here soon...then you'll have to tell me what kind of birds I have eating seed! I can't wait for tomorrow morning! I hope I'll wake to birds!

I was so excited when he won -- he has so much personality! Did you watch the You Tube video? I had almost forgotten about the Westminster show. They always televise it and we never miss it.

The longhaired wiener dog took second place in the hound group :D . Lessee if I can find that picture...

They didn't come during the hours of 8:30am to 1:40pm when I left for work...I tried to look at the dish on my return, but it was almost 11pm and so dark I couldn't see the plate!

I will certainly not stand with toilet paper in hand waiting for Mooch to finish his business anymore LMAO.

Okay, silly, I'm starting to nod off.

I'm staying home today :D . I'm so excited about that. I've been gone so much and I'm positively homesick! We had miserable weather yesterday and I cannot even believe drove in that weather to visit my niece. We had freezing rain and snow and there were cars and trucks sliding off the road -- it was terrifying! My knuckles were white from squeezing the steering wheel so tight.

DH is off on his annual medical mission trip. I was going to go with him this year but I decided to stay behind. I didn't want to leave with so much upheaval in my family. I need a vacation. I'm serious -- even our trip to Italy didn't count as a vacation in my book. Vacations, for me, are defined as places far away from damily -- far, far away -- NO DAMILY!! I might do a workout today :) . I haven't done a workout in...oh...6 weeks at least. :eek:

Robin -- do you have any cake left over? What kind was it? Oh man, I'd love a nice big chunk of cake right now. I'm totally in the mood for comfort foods and desserts. Cake sounds so good }( :9 . I may have to treat myself to a cupcake or something from the bakery today.

So your family is home today? Are you guys doing anything fun?

Dana -- Did you make it home okay last night? I know just what you mean about driving in that weather. I was so scared driving yesterday -- I couldn't believe I even made the trip to see my niece, but I got the feeling that she and my SIL were a little upset that I didn't get there the day before.

Jen -- I hope you're feeling better soon. How's Chad's shoulder?

Jennifer -- Please, PLEASE hire someone to help you with shoveling. I pay someone and, honestly, it doesn't cost that much. ;)

I'm off to the grocery store. All this talk of sweets has stirred major cravings :eek: }( -- that, and I need to pick up something for lunch and dinner. I've been eating out a lot and I haven't been grocery shopping in eons. I'm really looking forward to just hanging out at home all day. I might even get cozy with a good book and just chill out.
 
I will make sure there are THREE, just for you! Then you can have one tomorrow too. :7 Hopefully I'll have some info on my leg later today - I had an MRI yesterday but haven't heard what the doc has to say yet. Enjoy the grocery store - I love to grocery shop. Weird, I know.
 
It was just a yellow cake with buttercream frosting. There is still about half of it left. Yes, three of us ate half a cake yesterday.

Michele, I'm so glad you are getting a nice day to yourself. Where does your DH go on his mission trip? I have friends who go to the Dominican Republic every other year. They just got back a couple weeks ago. Someday I'd love to do something like that. They always come back with great mountaintop experiences. I love the beagle picture. Greyor's babysitter raises beagles and she almost had DH convinced we needed one. Don't you just want to stroke his ears?

DH took DD and I into town. He is much better at driving in the bad weather. It wasn't too bad, but we ran into rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow and fog. We ran about a gazillion errands. We had to stop for more birdseed too. We go through about 20 pounds a week, August, depending on the weather. Get ready!
 
Hiya haters!!!

Well, I made it home safe yesterday. My drive is normally 20 minutes and it took me exactly one hour. First my car wouldn't even make it out of the parking lot at work, I kept spinning. Then the highway was a mess. I had to make a turn onto the road to daycare and I could barely make it up the hill. It was horrible. My DH picked Gabe up, thank GOD!!! I'm home today. It is just raining right now & I pray that tomorrow it doesn't turn to ice. I brought home a ton of work so I didn't have to use a vacation day. We use some web-based programs so it is nice that I can just get my work done at home. I have one other project that I am going to do. It will take about an hour and then I'm done for the day!!! I also put in 2 hours last night.

Michele - did your DH go to the same place he went last year? I bet you are relieved that you can stay home today and relax. I saw the beagle on the news this morning and Gannon was loving him. He kept saying, "that's not a dog, its a beagle!!!".

August - so did the birds come yet???? Oh they will, give em time. I can't believe you - how would like someone watching you go to the potty!!!! That is just an invasion of privacy. I think you should put up a little privacy curtain so he can do his business in peace!!!

Robin - yum!!! Cake sounds yummy, but I gave up sweets for lent. (and all junk food for that matter). What's it doing up your way? Just rain here.

Jennifer - do you have shoveling planned for tonight?

We had a little scare this morning. My mom called and said that they were taking my dad to the ER. He was up at the restaurant and my brother was going there to shovel snow. My dad started shaking really bad and couldn't walk. So my brother took him to the ER. I got a call a few hours ago from my dad that he was ok. My dad is an alcoholic and also has some other issues with depression & anxiety. He was taking Zanax AND continued drinking. (he is not to drink b/c he has diabetes). Anyway, he was acting very weird the past few weeks due to his combination of pills and alcohol and my mom dumped his Zanax down the toilet & blacked out the refill info on the container so he couldn't get them refilled. I guess he hasn't drank in a few days either. So the dr's told him that his body was going through withdrawal but due to his anxiety problems he needed to go back on the Zanax. I'm not so sure that is good idea but I"m no dr.

Well, I better get going. I still have to finish that one project and then I need to clean (it is a sty in this place). I also have to help Gabe get his Valentines ready for school tomorrow.

Oh, I forgot to tell you all, today is Ralphie's 1st Birthday!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY RALPHIE!!! I tried to find him a b-day hat but I couldn't. Gabe can't understand why I didn't make Ralphie a cake. Hey Robin, you still have 1/2 a cake left????
 
Dana, we've had snow most of the afternoon, but the roads just look wet. Isn't it supposed to be sunny tomorrow? I hope so. Yes, we still have half a cake, but it will pretty much disappear after dinner. Happy birthday Ralphie! I hope your Dad is OK. What restuarant? Is it your parents?

I did 4DS HIS with MANY modifications and no step. The pushups were hard. I never could do all of them on my toes and I can't put alot of weight on my knees yet.

I got a delivery of fresh flowers from my sister and her DH this afternoon. Aren't I a lucky girl?
