Morning Maniacs -

Off to try my Pump Party DVD and perhaps do a bit of cardio & yoga - If i have time. Have a doc appt this morning.

Diane Sue - meant to mention - I have Danskin workout gloves from Walmart and they are washable. They are not leather and not real padded so they don't work as well as some - but it's an option. I mostly use them for circuit workouts or high rep ones mostly.

Michelle - welcome to the checkin. It's always good to have someone join us and yes, it's very good to have a group of ladies to talk "fitness".

Toasty - I hope you end up liking Blue Moon. The first rendition was very light wearing and unique. I think this year's sounds better. I'm surprised you didn't get Rose Moon. I was able to sell a few things on Live Journal last night....so I was able to order an extra bottle and I got 1 new Salon and Rose Moon and the other LE also.

Jen - wow - that's some healthy lunch you have. Good for you meal planning and sticking to your diet. That's a great feat! Kickbox Bootcamp gets easier to kick up the intensity after you do it a couple times. I didn't like it the first couple of times, but now I like it more.

Better go get started.

Sorry I have been MIA, just haven't had the time to check in. I have recently found this website called "facebook" and I have found all kinds of people! People I haven't seen in yrs! And when I get on the site, I don't know when to get off.:)

I am currently doing a rotation I made up myself. Im really enjoying it. Its combining the PS series and the HC series weights.And there are days when I am doing extra running as well. Trying to get this bod ready for summer}(

Todays workout is GS B,S,B and C&W. I think my arms will be fried after that workout.

I ended up doing Katina's Pump Party 65" followed by 25 minutes of Gliding Aerobics (with my own music on). Workout was 1 hour 30 minutes and I burned 500 calories. I also did Rainbeau Mars Yoga for Beauty Dawn (this series is still one of my fave's no matter how many new ones I get - always makes me feel better - especially if I've had stomach problems).

Katina's Pump party was pretty decent. I feel worked. It was a bit heavy on the shoulder exercises, light on chest (only 3 sets of pushups and some standing chest moves) and light on lats....but it was a very good workout. Didn't really like the music on this one (recognized it from Kari Anderson's Hot Steps)....will listen to my own next time.

Suz - forgot to mention - sorry you're so stressed at work. I wish things would get better for you. I know it's only a matter of time until I'm back into that vicious cycle again. Too bad we can't retire now!! I'd love to have all the time I want to work out daily.

I've got horrid facial pain and headaches due to my sinuses (infection). Last time I called my doctor, he told me to go to a specialist. I'm so mad that he won't treat me medically, as I'm NO WAY having the surgery the specialist recommended! This makes me mad. I guess I'm going to have to go to another ENT doctor -- hopefully one that will treat me medically not surgically.

Forgot to mention a funny story from Vegas. I wore my Ed Hardy - Tattoo sleeved Tee shirt the day we traveled (only long sleeved one left in my closet - my DH hates the shirt). You guys would NOT Believe how many people stare at me when I'm wearing it. They stared in the Casino's, hotels, restaurants, airport, etc. It finally got to the point where even my husband started to find it amusing. I always get a kick out of it cuz I could care less what others think of me and it's very intersting to see how people judge you on your looks....i.e, the tattooed - hardcore biker chick!! HA! HA! Not even close!

Good morning Maniacs!

Okay, since I had such a negative post last night I figured I'd post something positive this morning before my workout and before work. :)

I'm getting ready to do Bootcamp b/c you know I've been doing cardio 6 days a week but I skipped my weight workout last night and I want to be sure not to skip it today but I want some cardio this morning for sure but also some weights. I'll do some more cardio when I get home - probably just some steady state on the bike on the trainer.

So here's what I love - my DH. ADORE him! My sister - she's so awesome. We're spending the day together shopping in Colorado on Saturday. Yay!!! My doggies and my birdies. My mom. My friends. My new body from my 10 week plan - diggin' my flat tummy. My health. I really don't hate my job, but there are times I dislike it a whole bunch. And of course God. He goes at the top of the list!

Michelle - welcome!!! I hope I can check in more often and get to know you. This is a great place to be. So motivational and such a wonderful group of women.

Lora - You always amaze me. You feel like crap yet you stil get in an awesome workout. I'm sorry you're not feeling well and I hope you feel better.

Lori - I'm glad you're back again. I wondered if you fell off the face of the earth, but I see by Michelle's quote that's not possible. :p With all that running, you're going to be a smokin' hot momma this summer (but then again you already are!).

Meg - SIZE 4 JEANS!! You go girl!

Good Morning, I slept in this morning and will not workout till after I take my grandaughter to school. Today will be a treadmill run, abs and some yoga. I am sore today I feel my back and triceps from Mon & Tues:)

Lori, that looks like a tough workout. I am sure you will be feeling it.

Lora, the gloves I was talking about were my weighted ones. Using them for KB and Low impact gets them so sweaty. I figured they were already wet It sure couldn't cause to much problem washing them. They seemed to turn out ok. But I wouldn't want to do it all of the time.

Charlotte, I would be so upset if my dogs ate my Nike gloves. Fortunately I do not allow them in my workout room. With these two big girls I wouldn't have room to work out. They sit by the hallway door and wait for me to come out LOL

Suz, I am sorry you hate your job. You will get through it. Good thing you have fitness to help reduce the stress.

This morning I did Cardio Coach #1 and then added on Challenge #1 & #2 from Candace's #6. Had a great workout and did lots of sprinting. Workout was 1:06, was in my zone for 54 minutes and burned 398 calories.

Didn't feel much like working out this morning, but once I got started I was good to go. My legs are still sore from doing Legs & Glutes on Monday.

Good morning. I really consider myself a size 5 or 6. But lately all the 6's won't stay up, too big. Hard to find 5's, but I was shopping and this particular brand only had size 4 and 8, no inbetween, so I just tried it for the hell of it, and the 4 fit perfectly. I am sure I would not fit in a size 4 in every brand of jeans though. They make them so diff. But, it feels good none the less. I saw my aunt last weekend and she said I was "tiny". Certainly don't feel tiny! lol!!

Anyway, you guys had such great WOs. Good job. I have a busy day again, so I will be back later.

Good Morning Maniacs!!

WOrking triceps and biceps and abs this morning. Hauled off some trash this morning. The guy helping asked about my bumper sticker.."I don't need a weapon, I am one" and asked if that was me. I smiled and we talked about bodybuilding. I showed him my muscle and he said it was hard. lol. Nice conversation. Went to FIL's to pick up the sprayer cuz I need it for spraying the sealer in the basement. FIL said he was using it so I had to buy one...$40 for just a sprayer!!!! Irritated. So no Lora, not buying perfume now. Everything is just getting so expensive.

Morning ladies...
Was really buisy yesterday. I barely had time to pee. LOL..Got home washed my truck and was going to go w/o and DH said lets go eat, so we did.
Had an awesome blackened tuna salad. MMMM..
I packed the gym bag. I plan on going tonite, so i am sure to get a workout in.
I am planning legs...and depending if i overdo it agin some cardio...

Morning Maniacs! Today I plan on a Mt. Bike ride with dh. Didn't get one in yesterday. Dh didn't feel well and I didn't want to go without him. I'm also major sore from yesterdays workout. My butt and shoulders (traps) are talking to me this morning! I'm doing the 2nd phase of the NROL fatloss workouts. The exercises have kicked up a notch! I know the next workout will have killer bulgarian squats with overheads!!! $%#$!

Jen- Great meal! I've been slacking on the good meals. I've just been eating the same ole boring things everyday. I need some variety. I'm in a lazy boring eating phase lately. LOL!

Suz-I know how you feel about hating and liking work at the same time. I'm finding I hate mine more that like anymore and that's not good. I plan on retiring my business (had it for 26 years now) in the near future. I desperately need a change.

Meg-Way to go on the size 4!! Enjoy all the "tiny" comments.}(

Debbie- Great job on the CC. I haven't been using them lately, because the weather has been so nice here.:p Gonna turn ugly tomorrow though.

Lora- Funny about the shirt! LOL!

Diane Sue- I would think you could wash those gloves. Might wear them out faster, but who cares if the stink. LOL! I found them pretty cheap at TJ Maxx. I think $8 or so.

Hello, Thanks for being so welcoming. Todays workout is David swenson, the first series,have not tried it yet so well see how it goes, I hate to admit this but i sometimes get board doing yoga:D but i know how good it is!

Lori-That sounds like a great rotation, Im doing a GS rotation of my own to but yours sounds much more interesting, would you mind sharing?
Lora- Great workout, do you put brakes in between because i know myself i would be starving!

I just did 30 min of intervals on the TM, BC core, BC upper body and stretch. I felt it was a good WO, amongst all the coughing lOL!!

Char= very nice! I am sure he was impressed with the arms!

Lora= that was funny about your shirt!

Morning again!

Quickie check in again from work. Did Bootcamp and loved it. I must say that dropping those extra 7 pounds - I swear I've plateaued again - just really makes a difference in the way I look when I work out (not that I'm staring at myself in the mirror or anything :p ). You're right Diane Sue about the stress relief of working out. I don't know how people who don't work out relieve stress.

Okay, back to work. :(

Michelle, I posted my rotation over on the rotation forum. Its called "my rotation".
When I wrote it up, during the 2nd week I had;
Mon- LM and Tues #2 HC series, not realizing that I would be doing parts of LM again on Tues, so I switched Tues to a run. I haven't been doing all of the runs in the evening but I have done a couple. But I have been following the a.m workouts.

That was a tough workout I did earlier. My UB was burning big time! I think I will be sore tomorrow!

I am spraying my basement floor right now with sealer. Looks like hell so far. The sprayer I bought for $40 doesn't work so I slammed it on the floor..stomped up the stairs and empty out the 409 cleaner and just using that, damn it. I am really frustrated and I don't have time to go back and forth to store to get another so I guess I will do it tomorrow. I just did the 2nd part of Tracey's Step Sweatfest. The first time I did the DVD, I stopped at part 1, as part 2 is more complex. I practiced it for 45 minutes and still don't have it all the way down yet. I also did a Classical Stretch session.

Meg - meant to tell you good going on the size 4!! :)

Toasty -when you gonna be done working on your new house so you could chat with us all day? Any job leads today?

Suz - glad to see you're feeling better. Yes, exercise is a great stress reliever and it really helps me with depression also.
 
Char - you're cracking me up with your little fit! I don't know why your FIL just couldn't lend you the other one. Darn him anyway.

I need to go do an hour of cardio on the bike now b/c I just ate this VERY greasy quesadilla. It wasn't that big but it was on the side of my salad from lunch (shrimp, lime and honey) so I figured I'd bring it home for dinner. Probably didn't need to do that. But I didn't want to waste it. The lunch was rather pricey as I was taking my assistant out for assistant's day (I know it was last week but we were too swamped to leave the office) so I certainly couldn't leave it, could I? :) I didn't really think it was that greasy until I started eating it.

Big Bird keeps yelling (I don't think she likes her dinner - should have given her the quesadilla) and then she's saying "Quiet. Stop it!" Silly bird.

So, as we like to say around here, off to the basement...
