Morning Maniacs -

I slept in. I wanted to be up earlier, as I have lots to get done. Not sure what I'm doing yet. Will probably do a recovery type of workout and maybe some yoga.

I'll be back later.

I'm off to Amish country. I did today's workout last night and posted it in yesterday's check in.

I hope you all have a great day and great workouts!

I ended up doing Intensati...Great Body Great Life. Workout was 60" and I burned 280 calories. Not a real calorie burner. I also did a bit of Yoga to Go Hatha Yoga.

Meg - saw your post the other day about your interest in Afterburn. Just wondered if you knew it was a book workout and not a DVD? Still undecided as to what I'm doing next week......due to my stupid foot.

Have good rest days or workouts everyone and enjoy the weekend.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Yesterday I did:

Leg Ext w/90# 3 sets/8
Squats 110# 3 sets/10
Jump Squats 4 sets/20
Wide Stance Squats with 20# db's 3 sets/16
Step Ups with 15's 3 sets/10
Hamstring Press 40.5 3 sets/8 (I don't know why these are so hard)

Going off to Maryland today to see Buckcherry, Hinder and Papa Roach with daughter and her friends. Gonna be a hot day. Got laundry and workout before I leave and take poodles to be boarded.

Good Morning, today is suposed to be a circuit. I did the cardio of Amy Bento's Hi/Lo Ext yesterday. I want to do one of the circuit premixes today that use All Pump Ex and HLX. I will also do some yoga. I need to figure out a more relaxing yoga routine. Still battling the headache. I think it is one of those that is here to stay for awhile. Nothing seems to work. Today we have an ice cream social to go to and tomorrow family is coming over to celebrate my up coming birthday. I was supposed to have Cathe's new workouts for my birthday but I guess that is not going to happen.

Charlotte, good workout. Have fun at the concert.

Debbie, enjoy your time in the Amish community.

Lora, you have the Yoga Booty Ballet Masters series don't you? I was looking at a yoga workout in that series and was wondering how different it is and do you like it? Also, I was wondering what would be a less strenuous more relaxing yoga routine. I bet I should have got the Dawn and Dusk when I bought Dawn, right?

Good morning maniacs!

Got up early this morning to go eat DONUTS again with DH before he had to go to work to test all the new potential police officers. I'm at work now too. I should leave a message for my doctor that I ate DONUTS!!! :p I'm going to do one of the Hot & Heavy (S&H) upper body workouts when I get home. Taking the day off of cardio. DH & I are doing a hard hill ride tomorrow so I better rest my legs. He rode behind me for a bit yesterday for the first time (usually he's pulling me along) and thinks I may be a bit inefficient in my hill climbing so he's going to work with me tomorrow.

DH has a friend he grew up with in Colorado who was testing with the PD here from a PD in Kansas or something and he had done the situps and pushups and had one more lap to do on the run and he passed out!!! He probably wasn't quite as prepared for the run as he should have been - a mile and a half in 12 minutes or 14 minutes, I can't remember - and top that with the high altitude (he's been gone for 2 years) and BOOM! They had to call 911 to get the poor guy some oxygen. Now he has to come back in 3 months to test again. DH felt really bad for him.

Haven't seen Ty Pennington yet. He must be sleeping in. :) I'm not planning to work that long so I may or may not get to see him. Oh well. What's a girl to do?

I finished Hi/Lo Ex/ All Pump Ex ultimate circuit premix. The time listed on the dvd was off. The entire workout was 2 hrs and 10 min. I would have added more cardio but I was having a hard time focusing to write things down and was seeing colored spots:( The workout was somewhat longer than I expected. I am going to go back and do a little yoga and shower.

Suz, how are you liking S&H? LOL on the hot and heavy:)

Diane Sue - That was a LONG workout! Were you seeing colored spots b/c you were getting light headed? Low on food? That guy who passed out last night was seeing MAJOR spots. :p

I really like S&H. Feels good on my muscles. I hope I still have time to get it done when I get home. I have to clean bird cages still and we're going to Red Lobster at 4:30 with my mom, her DH, my sister, her SO and my DH to celebrate my birthday. My mom and her DH were on a cruise on my birthday (on the 14th) so they're taking me today. :9 Then our friends may be coming over to go in the hot tub b/c he ran last night too since he's testing for the PD (he's DH's cycling buddy - the one who is the manager at the bike shop - tired of it after all these years). He had 15 minutes to do the mile and a half b/c he's 41 and he did it in 10:03. He was lapping people he was going so fast. And he never runs! I bet his legs are sore today though. He asked if he could run with the guy who passed out to try to motivate him since he was going slow and it was on that last lap the guy went boom. I thought that was nice of him.

I should probably quit goofing off and get back to work! :)

Suz, I am not sure why I was seeing colored spots. I thought that maybe it had to do with my headache. But usually spots are more like gnats floating around my head. I did have a protein shake with soy milk prior to working out. No breakfast. I don't eat breakfast most of the time because I workout early. I bet the guy who passed out saw major spots:) That was nice of your DH's friend to try and motivate the guy who passed out. Have a fun birthday dinner:)
