Hardcore Fitness Maniac Hotties for 6/1

Wow, June 1st already! WHY IS IT STILL ONLY 50 DEGREES HERE???

Yeesh!

Morning all! Today was Supersets and I did Back & Chest. Had an excellent workout after I woke up. Dang, I was tired when I woke up this morning. It took a while for my energy to kick in. I added one additional set to each superset.

8 minute warmup on treadmill.

45 second rest between each superset.

BACK/CHEST
SS #1
Unassisted Chins:
8/7/6/6
superset w/
Barbell Bench Press:
80# - 8/8/8/8
***First two sets of chins were hard because I just wasn't awake. I'm actually surprised my numbers were as high as they were with those.

SS #2
T-Bar Row:
55# - 10/10/10/10
superset w/
Incline Barbell Press:

75# - 10/10/10/10
***LOVE my t-bar attachment. That is one cool piece of equipment. Could have gone heavier with both but by the 4th set I was wiped out.

SS #3
Low Incline Pullover:
40# - 12/12/12/12
superset w/
High Incline Dumbbell Flyes:
30's - 12/12
25's - 12/12
***Shoulders were clicking really loud with 30's so after the 2nd set I went down to 25's. Got a great burn here.

That is all....

Debbie - Nice Workout! (as always)

Today was upper body and had a good workout. I For some reason I started my working sets on the left instead of the right, so that added a new twist on things. It just took me forever to get through for some reason. Which was tough because I had already gotten up late. My low back is really aching this morning, so I need to rethink tomorrow's leg workout, pretty sure I'll be changing out the Romanian Deadlifts. :(

4 DS HIS warmup only. (due to getting up late)

2 warm-up sets of 10 reps for every exercise, doing one side at a time. (so everything on the right, then everything on the left, repeat)

One Arm Bent-Over Lat Raise - 5#
One Arm Kickback - 8#
One Arm Row - 25#
One Arm Lat Raise - 5#
One Arm DB Curl - 12#
One Arm Overhead Press - 10#
One Arm Floor Chest Press - 20#

1 Working Drop Set, Rep Pattern 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, everything on one side.

One Arm Bent-Over Lat Raise - 20,15,12,10,8,5 #
***Upped the first set by 3#, and the rest by either 2# or 1#
One Arm OH Extensions - 22,17,14,12,10,7 #
***Upped all sets by 1#
One Arm Row - 54,47,42,37,32,27 #
***Upped all sets by 1#
One Arm Lat Raise - 20,15,12,10,8,6 #
***Again upped the first set by 3#, and rest by 2# or 1#
One Arm Concentration DB Curl - 31,26,21,16,11,9 #
***Upped all sets by 1#
One Arm Overhead Press - 28,22,17,14,12,10 #
***Upped all sets by 1#
One Arm Chest Press - 40,32,27,22,17,12 #
***Upped first set by 2# and the rest of the sets by 1#

Of course at this point I was out of time, so I just did a couple of stretches on my own. Workout was 1:15 and burned 425 calories.

I finished my workout and am getting ready to go to DD's office so she can check out another possible skin cancer spot. She wants to do more of a skin screening this time. This morning I tried the Absolute Beginner Amy workout beginner workout as my warm up. I doubt I will use this one much. The Intermediate was decent though. Then I did STS disc 27 mesocycle 3 shoulders, biceps and triceps. I finished off with 4Day Split High Intensity Step cardio premix. Total calories burned today was 754.

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did David Kirsch's 7 Day Rx Butt, Legs, Abs followed by his leg section off of NY Body DVD and then I did Kettleworx Resistance, Pilates abs and Yoga stretch. Workout was 1 hour and 30" and I burned 629 calories. I also did Classical Stretch Shoulders & Stress & Low back yoga for another 50 minutes. I still don't feel stretched enough....but I can't workout all day! LOL.

Have great workouts everyone. I have to go get ready for work. I work the late shift all week.

Great workout Debbie. It's 59 degrees here this morning, expecting to get past 80. I'm in the Pac. NW. Where are you located? That is so wrong!:( Hope your days get warmer soon.

Linda, I think your routine is so unique. I tried a couple of these exercises and I must say, the center of gravity is very apparent. How did you ever think about doing exercises like that? It also made me concentrate harder on what I was doing. This is so very interesting.

Diane Sue, My Joey had skin cancer spots. One on his back and another on his cheek. Luckily they were easy enough to surgically remove. We keep a close eye on everything on his body now. The surgeons remove a lot for such a small area. But I guess it has to be that way. I don't remember which kind of cancer it was. Today, you can't tell at all where the surgery was on his cheek or back. They did a great job. So far so good though. I did Meso disc 27 last week. It was a great workout.

Lora, Great workout, as usual. I love doing yoga too, after a workout. Seems there just isn't enough time during the day to do everything you want.

Today is Meso Disc 38 Legs using the squat rack on the Smith Machine. I'm also going to do extra exercises and that is leg curls for both the quads and hamstrings. Leg exercises is a love/hate relationship to me, so I wanted to do the two I like the best and add it on to the routine. Also will do abs and possibly a yoga. Big exercise day.

Hi to everyone else that follows.

Janie - The rotation comes from the Sept 2008 M & F Hers magazine. Wish I could take credit for it's design but I can't. I have ended up with sore abs doing the upper body work this way. In the mag the exercises are done on a cable machine, but since I don't have one of those I had to rework it with free weights. BTW, do I remember correctly, that you make your own Greek Yogurt? If so what do you do with the whey?

I live in Ohio. I just cannot believe how cool it's been here. And rainy. Very frustrating when you want to ride a motorcycle! LOL!

Morning Ladies! I have MIA - very busy! Today I did a short kickbox workout and then jogged for 15 minutes for a total of 45 minutes of cardio.

Linda - I like the workout you are doing. Maybe you could copy and send to me and Janey!

Debbie, we had the cool damp weather here in Nashville - and my gardens are doing great! Now it is 91 and I am loving it. After week of it, I will want the cool back though.

Have a great day everyone!

I did MuscleMax today. Going to be 91 here today.
RPAGE, I love Muscle Mac. Good for you. 91 is hot for me. I like it in the 80's, but I do love the rain when it comes. It can rain a lot here, but I don't mind it.

Linda, Who would have known, that it would also benefit your abs! But I guess struggling for the center of gravity, it would make sense that you would use your abs. I use the whey in my protein shakes. Can't waste anything that is sooooooo good for me.

Ally, I like doing 45 min. of cardio as well. 30 min. is not quite enough and 60 min. is too much. Would also like a copy of the workout. Sounds great dosen't it?

I have to go now and do my exercises, it will be a long one.;)

Ally and Janie - First Ally, I did get your PM and I am not ignoring you. I am working on getting you the article. Can both of you open a pdf file? If so PM me your email address.

Linda - if you are PDFing the rotation you are doing now, I will take that one instead of Tabata...how's that? I don't know if you saw my post a week or so ago in response to yours but I don't mind not having the Tabata - I've moved on! :) I really like the idea of this one better anyway - I'm big on balance stuff.

So, two weeks to the beach. My eating has been funky. I've been tracking it and all and doing ok but seems like I need to change the foods. I found a neat article and I'm not going to do the diet but am going to do those foods for the two weeks. Also doing cardio in AM, weights in PM until the beach just to jump it all up a bit. This morning, did my own thing for 30 min 10 bike, 10 stepmill, 10 TM, threw in one set on each leg of hamstring curls, a quick (very quick) set of abs and burned 355 calories (total time about 35 min for all). Tonight I am doing PUB and actual abs.

So, my cat S.P. had mouth surgery today...$1739 and change later...

My cat, Sampson, who had to have similar surgery last summer (his total was about $3000:eek:) is going to be the first cat in the US to try a new treatment. Cool, huh? The vet had to get FDA approval, which he just got. He is a veterinary dental specialist and there are very few of his kind in the world so he has been in close contact with the ones in Europe who have been having success with the treatment. S.P. should be done now. Sampson had odd issues with his mouth, most likely stemming from something he had as a kitten. He body attacks itself in an effort to heal his mouth, making the situation way worse.

Guess I may wait a bit on the bike...

Happy day to all!!

I went out and got my hair cut today. I had a gift card from mother's day but had not used it yet for Ulta. Got some texture cut in but kept in longer.

Shana, I printed up a quick weight loss diet from itrain once. It was free and I believe was about 2 weeks. It omitted fruit, starchy veggies, baked goods. It was basically lean meats and green veggies. They have some now if you type in diets but I don't think they are the same.

Janey, they remove a lot to get all of the cancer. My dh had one that looked pretty small but dd did a very large cut to get it. I have had a couple of very small ones. Today the one on my back she was pretty sure was a cancer. She is really good at this. She said it would be a good one to get her students to identify. Anyway she cut a little deeper when she was biopsying it in hopes she got it all and won't have to make me come back. She did a pretty thorough screening today.

Debbie, it has been in the 90's here the last couple of days. But I think we may be headed for some thunderstorms.

Lora, nice calorie burn. I bet you got plenty of stretching in:) The results of stretching gets better over time.
