Damage Control TGIF!!!

Aaaaahhhhh, just finished Interval X+ !!! My goal is to do 4DS Bootcamp cardio this afternoon as well. :D

Jacque:: Oh I hope you cave this weekend so that I can when I get back!:D Regarding your MGD 64 habit-they say anything in moderation is okay BUT everyone is different and perhaps a couple is too many for you? Maybe cutting back to one would help?? I dunno, just a suggestion. I was drinking a glass of wine daily there for a while and refused to believe that it was hindering my efforts. I finally gave in and gave up the daily habit and things DID begin to change so even though you think it couldn't be part of the problem, you never know. Just my thoughts on the subject. :)

Jen:: Not sure what kind of martini I will have. Probably my old stand by of chocolate while at the bars we usually visit but we are supposed to go to that martini bar so I'm gonna try something new. I'll let ya know what I chose when I get back! :D You know, you do not even HAVE to make a purchase to do Fat-X. Just go to the website and watch the videos. They tell you/show exactly what to do. You can follow along or write everything down ahead of time and then just do it on your own! Not that I'm enabling you or anything...:p

Diana:: Nice rec ctr work out! I was going to ask you about the KB dvd but kept forgetting. You'll get to it some day. Heck, I still have 2 AOS dvds in the plastic wrap from before I started CLX!!! :eek:

Good Friday morning !

Ended up doing Rythmic Step last night. Sweated up a storm as it did get into the low 90's yesterday - made my workout room about 85'. That helped the sweat factor too ! :p Today is supposed to be a leg workout but my legs feel so worked out lately they've been mildly sore all week. Even with no weights last night they were a burning and I could feel them. Not sure what I'll do - perhaps afreestyle lunge workout?

Wendy - quickie question as I lay in bed awake at 4 AM. I was thinking that with the FitBit that it doesn't measure your body temp like the GWF and thus the cal burn would be an estimate based upon the movement it is tracking. i'm so undecided on which way might be the best for my needs. I do think you're right about the alcohol. I am feeling like I need to be 100% perfect in order to lose and it is sucky ! I'm not having a hard time maintaining so I think you are probably right. I'll do my damndest to keep the alcohol away (as they are having a margarita party after work today ! :eek:).

I need to go back and reread the last two days for personals - BBL.
 
Good Morning, chicas!!

I did Jari's Ripped 1000 last night when I got home for a nice calorie burn and a very good workout. Then I hopped on the treadmill this morning for a half hour, because that's all I had time for. Snooze button did me in again. I think I'm going to have to do some sleep catch up this weekend so I'm back on track for earlier workouts next week!

Wendy: Now I know what I'll be doing in my extra time this weekend...watching Fat-X videos :p You're a relentless enabler ;) That's okay though, cuz we'll get you back :D How long are you in AC for? I'll be hoping you come home with heavy pockets! Have a blast, and an extra martini for me!

Jacque: I think you're right re: the Fitbit. It does use an estimate for caloric burn, maybe the Harris-Benedict method? I think it depends on what you're using it for. If you just want something to motivate you to move more, then the Fitbit will do that. If you want to get a precise read on your daily caloric burn in order to calculate a daily deficit, then the GWF is the way to go. From what I can see, the GWF is pretty accurate. I can log 15k steps one day by getting in lots of moderate activity and burn a certain amount of calories, but log less steps the following day while working at a higher intensity and burn more calories for the day. I assume that's based on the body temp feature. Just something to think about.

Morning ladies ..

Mom called this morning and they are letting her go home this afternoon :D:D:D OMG .. I am so glad!!! Her ulcers are still bleeding some - and her blood clot is being treated w/meds - and now she tells me she has broken ribs WHERE SHE FELL on vacation and did not tell anyone :mad:.. we are gonna have to have a TALK w/her when she gets well enough .. she has GOT to do better and take better care of herself!!!

Last night's plyo class was an AWESOME w/o . I was DRENCHED .. looked like a drowned rat .. it worked out the soreness in my legs but man oh man were they ever on fire during the plyos!!! Did weighted abs and plate abs to finish :)

Wendy .. good luck at the casinos!!!! hoping you hit the jackpot!!! and enjoy the martini's!!!! ;)

Jacque .. I refuse to believe my CABS are causing the stubborn fat :mad::confused: .. that is my story and I am sticking to it :eek: .. no I know those extra calories are stored as sugar which in turn is stored as fat :mad: sooo not fair!!!

Jen .. so what are your totals for ysdty??? who is ystdy winner you or Wendy???? LOL

Lori .. what is on tap for today .. are you still doing STS???

Di .. re: the taller stepping .. yup . when I use my chairs instead of the tall step .. boy oh boy does it make a difference .. they are not a LOT taller but somewhat taller and it does make a difference and hits in different spots!!!

OK ..not sure if a w/o will be albe to be fit in today :( gonna work then use some family time .. meet DB and we are gonna go get Mama and drive her and her car home .. who knows how long it will take at hospital .. then tonight is DATE NIGHT w/DH ;) .. tomorrow SIL and I are gonna crank out a killer w/o then veg out by and in the pool :cool: Have a great one!! thanks for all the healing vibes and prayers for Mom!!!:)

Slept in a bit this morning so no a.m. workout to report. Hopefull I can make it to the rec ctr for some blood pumping cardio this afternoon.

Wendy-Have a great time...hope you come home with more than you left with!!! Speaking of w/o's with the wrapper still on, Interval X+ is one of those for me. I should give it a try one of these days! The AOS w/o's are pretty tough though, hope you get to them soon.

Jen-I hope you like MM as much as Laura and I. As in any weight workout, choose weights that you feel comfortable with. Wendy is such an enabler-I'll be watching those videos this weekend too!

Jacque-I have done RS in a while, its a fun w/o. Our temps are in the mid 80's this week. I'm a fair weather gal myself, mid 70's is perfect for me. I'm still looking at both the fitbit and GWF. I'm not spending any money on either though until after I meet with the dietician/nutritionist and see what that program entails.

Laura-that's good news that Mom is getting out of the hospital. It sounds like she needs a good (loving) talking too. My stepmom went out of town for 3 weeks and didn't tell anyone when or where she was going. Obviously my sister and I told her she needs to let us know when she is going to be gone. I couldn't believe the difference in the taller bench. My upper leg was pretty much a tad bit above parallel to the floor. I may need to those more often but without any weight. I already have the J Lo butt and don't want it any bigger, just up where it belongs.:eek:

Well, I skipped my lunch hour walk today to run an errand...to go get a Father's Day gift for D-EX :mad: As if I didn't have better things to do! But it is important because it makes the kids feel good to be able to give him something. Probably just as well though, because the weather is crappy.

Laura: Let's see...my totals for yesterday were 13,371 steps and 2214 cals. burned. Not sure if Miss Wendy outstepped me or not. Great news on Mom! Except for the broken ribs :rolleyes: Wow, I can't believe she didn't mention that to anyone. I think, yes, she is in need of a good "talking to" ;)

Diana: Did you manage to get to the rec center? I've been sleeping in for the past few days, but not on purpose :p It's a double edged sword, if you ask me. The sleep feels great, but it's a PITA trying to get a workout in later in the day (for me, anyway). Did DH enjoy his birthday celebrations?

My boss isn't around, nor is my office manager. There's only me and one other girls in the office this afternoon. Know what that means? I think I'll be checkin' out Wendy's Fat-X vids sooner rather than later, hehehe...

Hey Girls!

I'm all packed and ready to go! I have about 30 mins before mom gets here so I'm havin' a snack while I type this.

I ended up opting for CLX Burn It Off after work today. Wasn't in the mood for the equipment changes in 4DS Bootcamp. No biggie. Still got a great work out! :D

Step count is at 8353 so I SHOULD hit 10k. It all depends on how long we sit at the bar for! :p

Jen:: Enjoy the Fat-X vids! I figure it's free so why not try it! :D

Diana:: Interval X is a goodie. Unwrap that and I'll unwrap the AOS vids! ;)

Laura:: Thanks for the ka-ching vibes! I hope they work! :)

Jacque:: You are KILLING me now that you are reconsidering the GWF!!!! :p
