Good Morning!

This week I don't like Mondays...cause I'm working;) I will feel differently next Monday! LOL

'Im just getting us started. I haven't done anything (workout wise) in 2 days. Fri I did 22.5 km. I feel very bloated....I wonder why!? Perhaps I ate to much:rolleyes:

I will fill everyone in on our trip when I get a chance. Hopefully work will be a little bit quiet. It was quit the experience and I am glad to be back on dry land!

Lori:)

Good Morning Lori and all who follow.

Had a fantastic weekend in the Catskills with Jen. We had so much fun. Got home about 3pm yesterday afternoon and I was wiped out. I took a nap, went out to the diner for dinner, came home and laid on the couch for a while and was in bed watching tv by 830 and my eyes closed at 9! I STILL didn't wanna get up this morning when that alarm went off! I almost blew off my w/o to sleep in but I knew I'd regret it. I got enough sleep. I'm just tired from a crazy weekend. Once life returns to normal I'll be fine. :)

So this morning's work out was Body Blast Timesaver #1 which was SJP cardio, and weight work for chest and tri's. I added on BBL's ankle weight work and then did 100 upper ab reps. All in all it took an hour to finish so it was perfect. It's similar to the style in which I was training prior to STS and it worked for me so this should do me good. I will alternate it with Insanity ofcourse! I'm not done with Shaun yet! ;)

Gettin' late...better get rollin' but I'll be back!

Good morning ladies !

Well I'm just about to get ready for my drive to one of our southern locations and figured it was a 4 hour drive. That was based upon the mileage my boss told me the other day. Hmmmm . . . he missed it by 50 miles ! Meaning that I have an additional hour to drive that I hadn't planned on. My fault for not checking but he is usually so good about those things.

That sets my workout up for one tonight somehow. I'll take Travel Fit and see what to do between that and whatever they have as far as a fitness room at the hotel. It's a Hilton so hoping for something decent.

Hope you all have a great day - I'll be checking in here and there but not sure when.

Toodles for now . . .

Morning Ladies,

I'm dragging this morning...stayed up too late last night. This morning I'm having my coffee and starting my w/o afterwards. PCC is on tap for this morning, the rest week starts tomorrow. Lunch will be C&T at the rec, bootcamp class tonight.

I didn't sign up for the HM yet. It's a 100 bucks, I'll have to get new running shoes, 75 bucks, and the run is in October when the weather can be iffy. I would rather spend the money on the new Cathe w/o's that I can use over and over again. Not sure what I will tell my coworker. Maybe I can just train with him, and not actually run the race.

Lori-I must've forgot, you went camping this weekend. How was it?

Wendy-glad you and Jen had a great weekend. The place looks fabulous.

Jacque-an unplanned additional hour of driving...sorry to hear that. I've only done travel fit once...it was a pretty good w/o, don't forget to take a band.

Hey Girls,

Awesome run this a.m...after the shin splits disappeared! They were there for half of the run. Ended up doing 13.2 km and it felt so nice. A good rest makes me want to run.

So here is the scoop on my trip:

We load everything aboard of the canoes and off we go. There are some rough parts in the water and you need to know where you have to manouver around the rocks. The couple that was with us, went down the first patch of rough water first and we followed. But instead of going close to the shore line, DH said "*uck it, we are going right through the middle"...yeah....not a great idea! All I saw was a rock, a drop, then I was swimming! 15 mins into to my trip I was soaked and all my things were floating down the river. I also had to let my sandals go so I could swim to shore, b/c of the tide it was pushing us down the river but we did good and made it to shore super fast. Sooooo, we are just standing there, looking at the canoe, upside down and wondering how we are going to get it. DH also got a bit of razz b/c the rock he clung to was slippery and he was being swept away but I ended up pulling him back...so now he is getting heat b/c his wife saved his life:D Behind us was a bunch of kids, some who work for DH and they gathered up all of our things, they were like a bunch of retrivers in the water! LOL

So....we are back on board and off we go but we have to stop at a friends cottage to get the water out of the motor. DH set up a clothes line in the boat and starts hanging up clothes to dry...then his clothes starts blowing away and sinking. We get the motor fixed and off we go again and we met up with another couple that was meeting us. Now there are 6 of us.

Our friends boat as a hole somewhere, so it keeps leaking water and he as to bail it every 10 mins, his motor only works when it wants to and his wives paddle breaks in half so now she only has half a paddle to paddle with.

Its getting dark and we haven't set up camp yet and now I am starting to get pissed. We keep bringing up on rocks and we are kind of sitting there like a see-saw. I can't get wet AGAIN....its getting cold now and the sun is gone. The camping spot we were headed to as been taken and this old man points us in the direction of another camping spot. We get out of the boat and all it is is a cliff with trees:confused: But what else do we do? Its dark so we can't go anywhere else. All of clothes are wet and I have no shoes.

We set up camp, in the dark, we eat, in the dark, light a fire that keeps sliding down the hill. One guy sets of fire works, one head towards the canoe, the next towards his wife so we called that quits. I go to brush my teeth but my tooth brush is gone. Go to get in bed, and my air mattress has a hole in it and is now flat again. DH finds the hole and I stick a peice of gum on it....but that does'nt work either. I wake up in the middle of the night on the ground again. We wake up in the morning, to fog. Light a fire to boil some water for coffee and realize that our can is gone...so no COFFEEEEEEEEE! Am I surprised?? No...not really. Nothing else seemed to be going the way it was suppose to so I don't know why I should expect coffee.

The rest of the day was pretty much smooth sailing and we didn't get home until 4'ish. I was sooo tired last night! Dropping!

Wendy** Sounds like your weekend wasn't as stressful as mine and Im also guessing you were dryer. I was so tired last night as well. I can't remember being that tired in a long time. I lay down with DS at 10 and went straight to bed after.

Jacque** Safe travels! How long are you away for?

Diana** Thats the tough thing about running, it cost so much and all you get is a t-shirt. DD wears my t-shirts to bed all the time.

I will check back in later!

Lori:)

Jacque:: Ick. Sorry about the long ride. I hope you don't hit a lot of traffic. How long will you be out of town? Hope you get in a good w/o tonight! Gotta move the bod after sitting in a car for so long!

Diana:: Spend your money on whatever is more important to you! I can understand why you would rather go for the pre-order at this point. $100 is a lot of $$ for a half marathon. I wouldn't spend that much. The place we stayed at was pretty but not a ton to do there. There was a casino 30 mins away though and the winery was fun. We were out all day saturday between those 2 activities plus dinner at a nearby restaraunt.

Lori:: Wow what a trip you had. I would have not been happy either! Glad you made the best of it though!

Hello ladies,

Well the drive went well, lots of fog for a couple hours but then got sunny and is familiar territory (went through the town I grew up in) so not bad. Took about 4.5 hours. Bad part is we didn't get much accomplished work wise - oh well, hopefully tomorrow will be better. We have the morning to work on what we should have done today and then a meeting with production heads to go over some things.

I was up waaaayyyy to early and am tired. Thinking I'll postpone a workout and eat then sleep. It's nearly 7 PM, just talked with DH and by the time I head to bed it will be late. I'll be driving back tomorrow afternoon/evening so don't want to be tired for sure.

Wendy - I thought the pics of where you were are beautiful - nothing much to do? Did you go to the casino or no? Was it a resort? What do they 'tout' as their draw? At least you hit the winery and had a nice dinner that you didn't have to cook, right?

Lori - darn girl, what a bummer but have to say it was quite a hoot from my end as you described your woes. At least it was a short trip and you were back home, dry and warm last night.

Diana - were you better than me and got your workouts in? I've heard Travel Fit was a goodie - think I'll do it in the AM if I'm not too tired.

Laura - how was the plane ride? The weather ? Have you gambled much yet?

Off to go grab some grub and check out the fitness room.
