Cathlete
Good morning everyone and thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers for daddy. I appreciate all of you so much.

I still managed to work this weekend. After work Saturday, we went down and spent some time at the hospital. Yesterday after work, since daddy sounded so much better on the phone, I stayed home and tried to rest after work yesterday. DD is here and that has helped a lot. I actually did the w/u and three combos of LIC and S&H biceps and abs yesterday. I had been up since 2:20 a.m. (couldn't sleep) and didn't know if I could manage a workout but actually felt better after I did it. Great stress reliever.

I'm working today and it is actually my "friday". I'm off tomorrow and plan on spending most of tomorrow at the hospital. Daddy is doing very well considering the heart attack. There are numerous specialists, cardiologists, kidney doctors, internal medicine, and vascular surgery consulting on his case. Hopefully we'll know more today about the status of his infected foot.

Thanks again for being there and thanks Becky for updating everyone this weekend. I pretty much stayed away from the computer this weekend except for emailing Becky a few times.

I'm leaning towards just doing S&H triceps this evening and not adding a cardio. We'll see how it goes, depends on daddy. I'm planning on staying here again today since I'm going to spend the day down there tomorrow. My stepmother has been very good at keeping me up to the minute on things and my brother is down there (he lives about 15 minutes from the hospital). My sister is two hours away. She and her husband came in Saturday. She is monitoring the phones as well.

Have a good day!

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

This morning will be iTread#19 sprints/30 and then C/S/T at the gym.

Jane ~ I will keep all of you in my prayers. I agree totally about exercise as stress relief...I thinkg both Conni and I can attest to that! I'm glad you have tomorrow off so that you can spend some time with your Dad.

Good Morning Fitties!

Jane, it's good to see you here this morning !
You were missed!

The rotation (FF's one body part a day) I'm doing repeats the 3rd and 4th week and I really don't want to do the same exact workouts again.........so I decided this is the perfect time to try out my new BBC ! I haven't even previewed them, so am anxious to what they're all about and if I like them !;-)

I missed a few workouts last week being sick but combined all but back and abs over the weekend ...and missed some cardio too, but I'm not worried about it and am just starting fresh today.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I can't believe it's already MONDAY!:* Jane. I think I'll go on YOUR schedule now. Friday sounds much better !!;-) }(

Good Monday Morning Hellos to Jane, Tammy, Becky, Phyllis and All who follow!

Today I will be doing CC #3

* Jane - continued prayers going out for your dad.

* Tammy - have a great workout today, are you still working with a personal trainer at the gym?

* Becky - have a wonderful day!

* Phyllis - I try to incorporate an extra segment of one of the stretch dvds or just do it on my own after each workout - it feels good for me :D

Hope everyone has a splendid Monday! :7

Good Morning Ladies.

I start my recovery week today with XFlowsion Yoga. I am looking forward to it :).....Even if I DO have to do it in DAY LIGHT!:7 :p :7

Jane: Hugs to you and prayers and well wishes go out to your dad.

Have a great day everyone!:)

Good morning all,

Thanks Jane for the check in this morning, it is good to hear that all is going well for the moment. It sounds like there is a good team helping your father out of this whole thing. Hang in there, and yes, Tammy is right when she says exercise is GREAT therapy.

Hey, it beats paying Dr. Phil!

Today was CK and ab hits on the rotation, I actually did it without subbing! This workout seems to be the one that Amy used in designing her KBX, as it is more hi/lo with a kickbox flavor as opposed to just drill after drill ( KPC and KM.)

Have a great day!

Good morning all,

Jane my prayers go out to your dad.

Wendy enjoy your recovery week.

Tammy enjoy your itread.

Vilma enjoy your CC.

Becky glad your feeling better.

Phyllis PLB that's a tough workout. I have only done the fittv version and boy does it give good DOMS.

I'm on vacation this week, so today I am going to nieces dance recital and then when I get back home I'm going to do L&G and KPC. Later I might go to the driving range with DH he has to give my step mom a golf lesson, she wants to learn how to play.

Have a great day.
Jenn;-)

I did BBC chest and abs and the TM workout. I power walked in place of running.
GOOD workout! I liked how he alternated chest & ab exercises the whole time. I couldn't believe for CHEST PRESSES though, the women were using FIVE pound weights!!!:*

Connie, how is your DH doing?
Tammy, how's your mom ?

Thanks Jenn. Enjoy your vacation.:D

I've showered and off to watch my oldest grandson at his swimming lesson!!:7

Go figure, I finally break down buy the non latex bands, order the workout to use them with, get the workout, the bands came on Saturday so I go to use them today. I am trying to do that lateral raise Cathe does on MM for shoulders (and she about kills your shoulders in that workout mind you) and the band feels short. Sure enough I go and measure it and it is only 66 in. I ordered a 6 ft band. The other one was only 67 in. so I call FW and they are sending me new bands that should be the right length and I don't have to return the others.

So my workout today was the upper body premix off of MM and the core work from that one too (which by the way is a KILLER for the core).

Now I will have to wait till my new longer bands arrive since I did pay for 6 ft worth of bands before getting the true feel of the bands. I was able to do the kickbacks with the ones I have and boy do you ever feel it!!! ;( Hopefully I will be sore tomorrow.

Have a great day!!:7 :)

Wendy,

I used 15# weights for chest presses. That was the first time I've done BBC, so next time I think I can go to 20 pounds for most of the presses. Maybe not the LONG set at the very end though. I was shaking at 15's !!!}(

Becky,

Well girl you put me to shame fast! LOL I looked up what weights I used for chest press and it was only 10#! Good job!

I just finished XFlowsion's Live Jam premix (44 mins). I really enjoyed it!:)

I moved ISculpt Ballet up to tomorrow. I forgot I am not doing tmrw's scheduled run until the evening so I'll have the afternoon free....It's perfect!}(

Tammy, If I can't walk come wednesday morning I know who to blame!:p

Annette, Sorry you got the wrong bands but that's cool that FW is sending you the right ones with out even making you return the wrong ones!:)

I had purchased a set of adjustable ankle weights from amazon. I got them but didn't use them right away. When I finally DID use them the zipper on one of the broke right away in the open position. It was too late to return them to Amazon so I emailed the manufacturer and told them what happened. They sent me a new pair for free no questions asked. There is still some good customer service around!:+

I had a great workout this morning with iTread#19/30 sprints. I found it very challenging. I think there were a total of 8 sprints which just kept increasing in time and speed. There were also a couple of sprints on a 5% incline---they were killer. I just love a nice intense short cardio workout. The trainer at the gym keeps telling me "it's not about training harder, but smarter" ;)!

Wendy ~ ;) You'll be able to walk...it just may hurt like hell!!! :)

Annette ~ I love the abs on MM and paired with HSC abs it is one complete ab workout. MM does have some great shoulder work in it too.

Becky ~ My Mom is doing very well and she continues to amaze her doctors...thanks for asking!

Jenn ~ Enjoy your vacation.

Conni ~ I've got CK on tap for later this week...I should do KM, but it holds too much of a dread factor for me.

Vilma ~ CC#3 is one of my favs :7 }( The trainer at work designed a program for me which I am doing on my own for another 6 weeks, then she will change it up again.

Phyllis ~ Great workout!

>Vilma ~ CC#3 is one of my favs :7 }(

I can see why }( 1st off the music for me was great and boy that 2 nd challenge was something! I did the 3rd challenge; I was sprinting fast and hard - fantastic workout!

BTW I'm sorry that I have not been online as much as I usually am but with my kids on summer break now I am finding it hard to get on here as I would like too.

Vilma ~ Enjoy your time with your kids over the summer...this time goes by so fast and before you know it, POOF! they are away at college :(

Thanks Wendy, but I'm sure I didn't put you to shame!
I did MOST of the pushups on my knees!

I really enjoyed BBC. And can't wait to do back & shoulders tomorrow!:7 :p

>>Wendy ~ You'll be able to walk...it just may hurt like hell!!!<<

Ya know Tammy...that wasn't very nice of you!!!:p :7 :p :7 :p :7

>Thanks Wendy, but I'm sure I didn't put you to shame!

>I really enjoyed BBC. And can't wait to do back & shoulders
>tomorrow!:7 :p

If I did more push ups on my toes then you it's only cause I lifted lighter on the presses!!! It's all relative!:)
