Chin Ups R Good

Hey ladies!! I did L&G extreme this morning and pullups this afternoon. I did 5 sets of 2 and 1 set of 1. Did I mention how much I hate working my legs? Been working legs twice a week for a month now and it's not getting any easier x(

The weekend is almost over. Wow time flies. Hope you all are doing well!!

I LOVE your title (who WAS that "chinups bite" person of posts past???hmmmmm)!!!

I'm getting worried about Soosan - the ball has gobbled her up. I'm hoping her mom is doing okay and it's strictly the ball. She's probably doing 896 chins to make sure her back is in great shape for that photo;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) .

I'm attempting a new rotation beginning today...."today is the first day of the rest of my life":7 :7 :7 :7 (oh brother...I've said THAT beforex( x( x( ). I've printed out several of fitfreaks workouts that she faithfully posts on the hardcore checkin and I began with back/chest/bi's trisets this morning. I'm already feeling tight. Did 4 wide front pulls - 2 sets and 2 sets of 6 chins as part of the trisets segment (for all you chinnin inquiring minds). Also did a few super slow wide fronts throughout the day (singles) Dh, ds, ds, dd, and I just got back from biking the ridge (about 11 miles of hills). NOW...if I can keep going!!!!!!!

Thanks again for all your suggestions!! Joanne...you need to stop and go for a bike whenever you pass through to Chicago. The amish farms are beautiful and we saw 2 rainbows today. I love to bike! Waves to all.

Briee, it sounds like you've found some motivation- YIPPEE!! I don't think I'll ever be able to do wide front pullups!! Mine are oh so narrow LOL!!

Sending out good vibes to Ms Sooooooooooosan and hope everythings ok.

I am now nursing my piriformis syndrome (sciatica) again x( Must have been something in L&Gs I took a rest day yesterday and may do some cardio tonight.

Hey Chinsters-

Yesterday, did Imax 3 or should I say I tried to do Imax 3-pooped out half way through. Then did an ab workout. After dinner I planned on going for a bike ride but ........ So, today I plan on doing Gym Style shoulders etc. On Sunday I did GS chest and triceps and worked on my chins. I know why I still can't do one - because I don't work on them long enough. I don't know why I don't. Maybe because I can't do them. It is just a vicious circle!

Catherine-Hope your sciatica is feeling better soon.

Briee-I would love to bike in your area. It sounds beautiful.

Joanne, if I work on chins on days that I am doing other upper body stuff I am too tired to do them. So I do them on lower body days or even cardio. I don't know if that would help you or not. Just some food for thought.

My bum is feeling better. So I have Step Blast waiting on my door step. (just delivered today) I may try it and modify if needed and hopefully get back to wts tomorrow.

Catherine-thanks for the tip. I'm going to try that. I love Step Blast. What I usually do with that one is take the last section (the blasts) and make it part of my mish mosh. Let us know how you like it.

Today, is cardio/leg day. Not sure yet what I will do.

Hey chinners...I'm just trying to walk today - actually move. Yesterday I was going to do S&H legs, but didn't get to that in the AM. I made up for it as the ladies came (we are working out at my home for the summer until Taekwondo picks up in fall) and we did MM. I really pushed and my legs felt fried after all the leg work (and my lack of leg work recently). THEN dh and ds wanted to go for a bike about 30 minutes later. We did the ridge at our fastest - my legs were beyond fried - oh those hills!!

Ya know that wonderfully exhausted, I feel like I'm going to fall over feeling?? Means - I'm finally doing something!!! I'm VERY happy.

I layed around much of the day - I AM SO SORE. Now I'm feeling a tad better and thinking....hmmmm what should I do???? What I REALLY should do is Yoga and then back to the heavy rotation tomorrow.

Catherine....glad your tush is on the mend (sciatica, I mean)!!!

Adding a little tid bit.....one reason I'm so wiped out is that I've been lo carbing the last few days. I got on the scale the other day and have finally broken the barrier, was down 5 pounds and only maybe 3 to go and I'll be happy. Can't believe how the carbs effect me.

One more thing...aren't ya just lovin summer. I don't ever want it to leave!!! Have a great day!!

I'm having a bad day. First lost credit card and found it. OK,... Now has a water line that broke in the front yard. So now we are without water x( x( x( Just got back from dear sister's house and showered. We have bottled water for brushing teeth and a bucket or two for flushing the toiliets-ewwww, I know. It could be worse. DH is taking off tomorrow to hopefully get it fixed.

I did manage to do upper body. Of course that was before the discovery LOL!

Did S&H legs- really just the heavy without the slow LOL!! I also subbed RDLs for plie squats. Did 55# squats and lunges, 55# first set of RDLs and then 60# for last 2 sets, 23.75 on calf raises. I also did chinups: 6,5,4,4,2. Uh, did ya catch that? I did my first set of 6 :eek: :eek: I really think going heavier with upper body is paying off!!

I just hope the good ole piriformis behaves :)

Sooooooooooooosan, DONUTS. Oh wait it's Briee that works for :D

Why am I having a mental block with RDL's???? What are RDL's?

(I know I'm going to feel stupid asking this - RDL.....lunges right?)

Oh now that's funny. I just did a search for Romanian deadlifts (which to me have always been deadlifts, but Fitfreak referred to them in her squat-day which I'm up for today) and then I checked this thread to find your post. Duh!!!!!

Glad your water is fixed!!!! Have a great day - ours was beautiful - floated around on a raft for several hours in the pool.

Hey ladies!! Sending out the forces to check on Ms Sooooooooooooosan. I sure hope everything is ok.

Today I did B&Gs standing leg with SP&J hi/lo and abs. Later I did pullups 3,2,2,2,2,2,2 for a total of 15. I am trying to widen my grip ever so slightly and I do feel it more in the back when I do that.

How's everyone else doing?

Oh thank you for posting the definition of CDL's!!!!!:) :) :) :) :) ha ha.

I'm not doing any specific Fitfreak rotation....I'm printing her workout each day and doing it, except I'm about 5 workouts behind her. It keeps me interested and I have incredible pain in incredible places - man these are killers, but short and sweet. I don't have cardio coach so I'm subbing other things for cardio - lots of biking lately. I like the heavy weights and lower reps.

Tomorrow I begin certification for rock climbing (wall climbing). They teach it at a local camp and once I'm certified I can help when they need it - can't wait - I love rock/wall climbing.

Joanne....you out there??? Waves to everyone else. Soosan...if this is just a cheap ploy to get us to quit chinning - you're going to be in big trouble. I haven't chinned in 4 days now - so please speak to me!!!???? I'm sure this is ball related - I'm hoping it is. If it is mom related, then I am sending out more prayers that way.

Hey Chinsters-

Today, I may take a rest day-maybe a walk. My other wrist hurts today-don't know why I am having trouble with my wrists lately. I did work on chins over the weekend but I really don't think I over did it as I still can't even come close to doing one!

Briee-the wall climbing sounds like fun.

Catherine-Only two more months and we finally get to meet! I'm so excited for the road trip.
