Today's the day. I woke up at 4 from a nightmare that I overslept and had 20 minutes to get to the testing place. :eek: :7 I'm definitely nervous. Thanks again for all the support.

Wendy :: ya must be speed-readin' again, girl. ;) :) I was wondering how your resume was comin' along? I wish there was time to kick back this weekend, but there isn't. That's OK. It happens sometimes. :) I'm sure I'll need to veg for a bit after the exam, but then I gotta get movin' on the essays.

Di :: sorry to hear about those sleep issues...That does sound like a killer BC class! Makes me glad mine is over. *lol* :7 It'll be great to compare notes once your training starts.

Angie :: humidity's cranked up here, too...I don't know if it's supposed to rain or not this weekend...I didn't get a chance to catch the weather...Wow, those ARE some steep adoption fees. I agree with you about the chip. Interesting that they just do it automatically. Is DH becoming more receptive to the idea?...IA, the gas situation is out of control. And my dingbat DSis just bought an SUV. *lol* I had to laugh. :7 Sorry, I must have missed what Cody is being honored for...?

Cathy: LOL, sorry 'bout that. Sometimes since this is such a small check-in I actually depend on my memory to do personals and well, as you can see, that doesn't always work!:p Nope, haven't done a darned thing as far as looking for a training job. I am sooo lazy. LOL I need to get DS registered for school and then I'll get started on that. I have to fill out a BOOK of forms and get him to the doc and collect all of the rest of the cr@p I need in order to register him. If I tried to add job searching to the mix my brain would explode!LOL
Yeah, I'm not a good multi-tasker. :p

So today's work out is HIIT at the gym followed by a 20 minute run to try to get my TM legs back.

I have DOMS from the KB's y'day. YEOWCH!}(

Okay well DS is screamin' and I should go anyway. I want to try to make the gym by 8am so that I can get a machine easily.

Morning cabbers

So we had the air on last night and it never really seemed to get cold. Hmmmmmm. Guess what? DH and I are idiots. We forgot to turn the thermostat down.:eek: }( I woke up this morning thinking it should be cooler in here and discovered the heat was on! I swear, we do this every year. ACK! Actually I was awakened by a mosquito. There were 5 of them that I killed when I got up. What the heck???? I still haven't figured that one out. I checked the seal on the windows and everything seems fine, so I have no idea where they came from since the doors to our room were closed. They were all filled with blood too, although, I don't see any bites anywhere. Maybe they didn't like my CAB filled blood and went for DH instead.:D I hate mosquito bites since it seems to take forever to go away on me. They will itch like crazy at first then not, then itch again, then not, etc. It is maddening!
Oh, has anyone tried the new CC's? I understand there is a buy 2 and get 1 free offer right now. I wish I could do PP, #7, and #8, since I have all the rest of them. But, I don't think PP is part of the deal.:(

Cathy - BEST OF LUCK with your NB test today.:) I'm sure you'll be glad to get that out of the way. I've had that dream too when I've had a big test or event coming up. It's like your brain won't let you relax.
DH doesn't really talk too much about getting the new dog, but he's not fighting me on it. He knows what my plans are and he has accepted it. He told me that last week he put his dirty clothes in the closet in the wash room and automatically grabbed a Kirby treat to give to the dog. :( She loved it when he came home and he always gave her a treat. I think he wants to try to fill the void too. Actually I was talking to BF about calling her uncle who owns a beagle training pen. She called me last night and told me don't worry about it. I've got people on it and we'll get you set up. Ummmmm....not sure what that means, but I have a feeling we'll be seeing a pup in our near future.
Cody got an award for perfect attendance, art, and was supposed to get an award for honor roll but didn't. Not sure why not - maybe got overlooked? He is really proud of his art award. He is a really good drawer.
You are such an early bird! I hope it is more comfortable at 6 for a run. Your title for the thread was right on the money. It's going to be a scorcher here again today.

I got an email about the One on One program Tony has coming out. It looks interesting. Have you heard anything about it? Will you be able to try it out before the masses?

Diana - I'm sure you are busy as heck taking care of last minute details. I'm sure everything will turn out beautifully. Crossing my fingers for great weather for you today.

Laura - I didn't realize you had 4 dogs either. Boy, little white dog is a terror. Ummmmmm, thanks for the offer, but you can KEEP him!:7
Beagles smart? *lol* I don't know about that. Actually I think Kirby was smart, just devious at times. If we somehow pi$$ed her off, she would go and pee on the carpet.}( I remember she was very hard to house train. But, once she got it, she was great (unless of coarse we made her mad). It just seemed like it took forever! I did order a beagle book since I have forgotten how to train a puppy. We'll get it right this time around. *lol* I warned the kids that their summer would be busy with the pup, but of coarse, they don't seem to care....at least at this point.

I have NO plans for today except for KenpoX. I think I may call MIL and see if she wants to go garage saling. I'm not a big garage sale person, but she loves it and I'm pretty much caught up on house work.:)

WTG Cathy!!:) So, what did you think of it? Go and take that nap...you so totally deserve it!

I ended up taking MIL out for a bit today. We bought a few things....nothing major. Then we ate lunch at Burger King. I haven't been there in ages. I got home and did KenpoX so now I'm waiting for the call to go pick up Cody and then we'll probably do pizza for dinner. I just don't feel like cooking this weekend.

Man, this heat is KILLER! I don't want to do anything, including that danged grading. It's sitting in a crate in my car.

Wendy :: hope you had a better time on the TM. Are you melting over there? :p I'm sure the paperwork is a lot for first-time enrollment. The resume will be there when you're ready for it.

Ange :: The skeeters love me!...I don't have any of the CCs, so I'm of no help -- sorry!...That'd be nice if BF can come through with a pup for ya. Those things have a way of working out, it seems...That's great for Cody!! Sorry that he was cheated out of his honor roll recognition. So, did you wind up hitting some garage sales? That's so good of you to look out for her the way you do.

All right, I think I'll go back to being a sloth. It's just too flippin' hot for anything else. :7

ETA: Oops, Ange, we were simul-posting. I did see the blog update. Very interesting indeed! Great job doing Kenpo post-BK! I don't know what to think of the test...I'm just glad it's over! :7

Ang: Yes, coaches get to order the new work outs a couple weeks before the public does. I can't wait }( I think it's due to be released to the public in the beginning of July. Please sign up and order through me if you are going to buy the new work outs, girl!:)

Cathy: You sound very upbeat about the NB thing. So happy for you! What comes next? I know you don't get results until November but then what? Melting hardly describes it. It is downright NASTY out there today! YIKES!

I did hilly intervals on the TM this morning plus a 15 minute flat run to work on my speed issues. I made it up to 6.1 today and got in 1.46 miles in 15 minutes which is not too bad. I just have to keep plugging away at it little by little....I'll get it back sooner or later!:)

DH had to work 12 hours O/T in this heat today. He works in a refinery with a flame retardant suit on and had to be in one of the hottest areas of the plant! I don't know how he does it! He handles temp extremes much better then I do..That's for sure!!!

Went shopping with DS and mom this morning. I bought a new inexpensive purse that is large enough to double as a diaper bag. I had purchased a large knock off Coach when I was in Florida so I wouldn't have to carry a diaper bag and a pocketbook around or be totally lame and just shove everything in a diaper bag. It was great but it's already falling apart :-( so I replaced it today. It's a nice bag and it was a great price. I just hope this one lasts! I also bought a new shower curtain and liner and a luggage set. I got 4 pieces for a little over $60.00! Can't beat that with a stick!:7

Wendy :: I have to confess, I deleted Tony's email about the new workouts without reading it. Had a crazy week and was feeling a bit overwhelmed by my inboxes. :) I need to check it out...Yeah, I am upbeat. No reason not to be. :7 What's next is probably year two (they call it "advanced candidacy" :7) of NB. Beyond that, I don't know. A loose plan is that I'd like to get my supervisory cert someday, which would require an add'l 12 grad credits or so. And I've always wanted to get a reading specialist cert as well, which would be a second Master's. But I've worked really hard this year and am not in a big rush for the latter two objectives...Poor DH! I have no idea how anyone could do that in this heat. It is truly UNGODLY. Nice score on your purchases today.

Evening girls

Geez....I'm feelin' the heat here too.x( Had some company drop in without notice tonight. Unfortunately folks I don't really care for.x( Thankfully they only stayed about a half hour. I was crabby already anyways b/c of the heat. Sometimes I'm such a biotch.:eek:
So, I'm killin skeeters and drinking CABs. An ice cold CAB is certainly a must in this heat!

Cathy - What's Dexter? Do you have a DVR so you can catch up all at once?
Heck, you got another day for grading. Let it go until tomorrow. I know I probaby shouldn't enable, but you took that test today and I think you deserve a break already!
I'm not really doating over MIL. I certainly could be a better DIL, but I try and do stuff with her every now and again. I know she is lonely all the time and I could certainly take time out of my busy schedule more often, but honestly, she zaps me with her depressive mood. I guess I am selfish, but I have a hard time dealing with that. There's just no cheering her up if you know what I mean.
So when would you start the AC of NB?

Poor DH - Have a nice ice bath waiting for him when he gets home. *lol* OK, maybe he would enjoy a nice bottle of beer on ice? I know my DH wold LOVE that!
