Good Morning,

Today I am doing CC7 on the bike. Probably will do abs also. I didn't get to workout at all over the weekend.

DS has a basketball game tonight.

Our van engine blew so now we only have one car that doesn't even fit our whole family. $3000 to fix it and we still owe money on it. We had to make two trips to church yesterday. I don't even have a way to get DD to work. I have to call some friends and see if they can do it for me. I can't go anywhere during the days anymore either. What to do?

Thanks for the Birthday wishes Karen! Can't believe I'm 41 already! That went by fast! LOL:eek:! My weekend was alright. Saturday was the ellipitcal for 40mn and pilates for 40mn. Sunday was Pilates on the Ball for 50mn. My new pilates DVD and "reformer" band should be here today! :D Don't know if I'll have time to get to it today though. We go out to eat at Red Robin for my birthday every year so that's where we're going tonight as well. The kids love it there and they have really good food! I went online to their nutrition section and you can "build" your meal before you go to see how many calories/fat etc. . it'll be. It's kind of neat. Oh, I checked my measurement yesterday and I have lost 1/2" already off my hips by doing my pilates!

Karen, that stinks about your car! I could not imagine being down to 1 vehicle. And then not to fit all the members in it? That' s tough! How long will it take to fix? Could you get a rental from them?

Todays workout has been BBC Fat Blaster Lower Body, and Back and Triceps will be done after work at home.

Had a busy weekend with getting DD11 to dance class, dropped her off at home then went grocery shopping. Sunday was church, clothes shopping, cleaned my workout space, cleaned the kitchen and then relaxed for a short time before I had to prepair supper. :D

Susan, Happy Birthday! Have a great time at Red Robin, good idea getting an idea of what you will be getting before you arrive. Congrats on the shrinking hips!

Karen, Sorry to hear about the vehicle problems, and so much to repair! Wow!

Today was cardio fusion. I am so excited and can't wait for STS. Otherwise my life is very uneventful. I like it that way.

Yesterday I ended up doing Kettlebell Way. Today I will spin.

The van is worthless, not worth getting fixed with so many miles etc. Don't know what we are going to do.

Susan, hope you enjoyed Red Robin, we ate there once with my mom and dad. They have great food. Those burgers are huge. The kids loved it. Did you get your new pilates yet? Congrats on the inches lost.

Laurie, you really get lots of use out of the BBC blaster series don't you. Glad you got so much accomplished over the weekend. I guess you need to go back to work to rest.

Dani, good workout. I am looking forward to STS also. Glad things are uneventful. Are you doing your 1RM?

Today my workout has been BBC Fat Blaster Upper Body. Hope to get to the gym for Legs/Shoulders and some cardio. I have a hair appointment after work, so it just may be that I get home and head to my basement. :D

Dani, LOL about the slight warm front! :p Only we Wisconsinites can think that above 32 deg is a warm front.:eek: LOL! But you are right, it actually feels warm doesn't it? I to am getting excited about the STS series finally being in my hands. :D

Karen, Sorry to hear that the van is done! :( I will send out a prayer that something with four wheels and enough room comes your way, at a resonable cost! I actually really like the new BBC workouts 1. They are short, only 21 min. 2. Since they use the tube, I can use these in the mornings and still get in a weight workout in the evenings. 3. If I can't get to my evening workout I still have done some type of exercise that day. 4. Both workouts have plyo for the legs! :D

Susan, How was your birthday celebration? Do tell what you decided to eat at Red Robin.

Karen, sorry to hear that van couldn't be saved! Maybe you can find a good deal at theis time fo the year with dealers wanting to get rid of their extra stuff!

We had a good time at Red Robin. I usually just have their grilled chicken sandwich but last night I decided to go for their "gormet burger" and it was very good! Probably had more calories than I eat in a day but hey! It was my Birthday! :p I am anxious to try my new pilates workout as soon as I get the kids home from school! Looks interesting! I also got some new perfume and a beautiful ceramic candle holder. My kids know I am a candle addict! :eek:

Hey there everyone! :) Hope you had a nice night! I watched Biggest Loser and was shocked Joelle did not go home! Makes me grumpy cause I don't thnk she deserves to be there. The jumping challenge they had to do was amazing! 2 hours and 19mn in 95 degree temps! I wish the Wisconsin girl could have won it! She was sooo close!

I tried out the new pilates workout yesterday. The total body workout was not as tough as I would have liked. She also has 3 separate workouts on the DVD so I am going to try out the individual ones today after I do the elliptical. My shoulder is still bothering me as well....

Morning!

No workout for me last night, because I didn't get home from the salon until 8pm. I ate a salad, then sat on the couch watching TV and having DH keep my feet warm. :D This morning was BBC Fat Blaster Lower Body plus Shoulders (from yesterday). I will be going to the gym to work those legs though!:D

DD15 had her I-Pod stolen on Wednesday of last week, and apparently the girl who stole the thing couldn't keep her mouth shut (which for DD is a good thing). Hopefully DD will have her I-Pod before the week is out, and she learned not to bring the thing to school! ;)

Susan, You are right it is your birthday and you have a right to celebrate. I would have done the same thing. :eek: Nice gifts that your family gave you too. I didn't get to watch BL last night, but thanks for the info. I don't usually record those shows, because I can catch up with the informaiton on their web page.

Hi gals,

Today I did Lauren's Kettlebell workout and a segment of stretchmax. I used a 30lb. kettlebell for the whole workout, it almost seemed like HIIT. I was so out of breath when I finished each section.

Today I have the car because DH got a ride from someone so I can take DD to work tonight. I will be running errands today because I won't have the car agan tomorrow.

Laurie, sorry no workout. what did you have done to your hair? Good for DD that the girl fessed up on th Ipod situation. It is not a good idea to bring anything valuable to school anymore is it?

Susan, sorry the workout wasn't as hard as you would have liked it to be. You are in just to good of shape for any pilates dvd anymore. I watched BL last night also. I really wanted Joelle to go home to. The other team realized she is no threat to them and they have a better chance of keeping their team together. To bad though. It made me not like some of the contestants again. The girl with the black hair crys to much. Glad you enjoyed your birthday meal. I would have gone for the burger also. Yum!

Hello Everyone,

Today I didn't do anything I might try to do some kind of cardio still but probably not. My legs are sore. We have started walking stairs at work. Yesterday I did a body pump class with a friend.
Today my daughter had her first dentist appointment and did wonderful. She even allowed them to polish her teeth. I am happy it was not a traumatic event.

Karen I have not started to do my 1 rep max yet. Maybe this weekend. I have been a bit lazy on workouts lately. I am just so tired.

Everyone else have a good night and some great workouts.

Today I am doing some type of cardio. Just can't seem to get on the bike. I don't know what it is.

Dani, sounds like you had a great kick butt class you went to. Walking stairs sounds killer also. Hope you get some energy back, you will need it for STS:D

Todays workout so far was BBC Fat Blaster Upper Body and Mission Specialists Abs. I will go to the gym right after work for Chest & Biceps.

Karen, You are right, you can't bring anything of value to school. DD has gym class 7th hour and then right after that usually works out with some members of her track team. During the 7th hour class is when it was stolen out of her gym locker. Guess she just might need to start taking her old I-Pod to school again! LOL! I only got my hair colored and I had her cut it shorter. Started to feel like a shaggy dog.:eek: LOL!

Dani, WTG on the workouts, and sorry to hear that your energy is not as it should be. This morning workout seemed to be a bad one for me, but then my stomach didn't feel all that great when I got up. Felt better after I ate something. :) Good for your DD on her first dentist visit. :D

Today is Pilates Total Body Power Sculpting. Kids don't have school tomorrow so I don't have to work! Yea! My DS9 wants to have a friend over though so it won't be a quiet day! :eek:

Dani, sorry you're feeling so tired lately. I have been as well so I am having my thyroid meds bumped up a bit to see if it helps. I really have to push myself to want to workout which usually never the case! Hope you're able to get some rest and re-charge your batteries!

Laurie, speaking of shaggy dogs, I wish my DD12 would get her hair cut! It's driving me nuts. It's very long and now she has decided to grow out her bangs which fall is her face all the time. Makes me crazy! She'll see certain hairstyles and comment that she'd like that but when I suggest making an appt. no way!!:mad:

Karen, maybe you've OD'd on the bike and need to take a little break from it. You'll want to jump back on it before long!

I´ve been doing Cathe´s Jan rotation, with some workouts subbed here and there.

Karen, am so sorry about the van :(. Hope you can figure something out.

Laurie, I feel so out of the loop, but what is BBC? It sounds like some great workouts. Glad DD could get her ipod back, those things are so expensive :(

Dani, First trips to dentists! i used to be a hygienist, so I remember those well. i always loved the little ones! Rest up!

Susan, have fun on the day off! Sometimes when the kids have friends over, it actually makes things easier...they keep each other occupied! It sound like the Pilates is really working for you! And Happy Birthday!

Today I have done BBC Fat Blaster Lower Body, and I was going to go to the gym to get a leg workout in. DH wants to go see a movie tonight. I might be able to do both will have to see, or I will just stay home and get B&G in :eek:. I think that the gym is slowing down with the New Year crowd, it almost seemed back to normal yesterday! :D

Susan, Have fun with your day off today. I have the opposite problem with my DD's, they always want to change their hair styles. :rolleyes: Which reminds me, they need to go in for their trims.

Lala, BBC is Barry's Bootcamp. I like these workouts because they are short, and I can get them into my morning time slot. And I can still workout in the evenings. I actually think that I will be doing the B&G workout, since I have not done that one in a long time.

On the weight loss front, it has only been a 1/2 lb for me this week, but I know it is because I am not eating as well as I should. Will be making out menues this weekend. :D

lala, glad you can post even though you are very busy. Is it end of term for you guys there? Today is the last day here.

Susan, did you end up liking the other part of you new workout better than the one you did the other day? Hope you are enjoying your day off.

Tomorrow I will try to get in some cardio and Sun. I will probably take off unless DH wants to do Kettlebell or snowshoeing.

Hi, guys! Hope you get to see this post. I know a lot of you aren't around over the weekends but this is the first chance I've had all week to post. I've been working late every night except Tuesday when DD had a Jazz Band concert and Monday when I left early to pick up DS from band and then I was called on my cell phone TWICE on my drive home. Grrr...Lucky I didn't get into an accident. :mad: I guess the person trying to get a hold of me was pi$$ed that I left after only 9 hours of work because he had programs for me to move into Production. Ended up working another hour after getting home. Today I worked another 4 hours and I have to work from home tomorrow to setup things for our Pilot Test.

It's been a bad week. :( Bad enough to work so many hours and see no light at the end of the tunnel but I'm really annoyed by the fact that 2 other people in my area are not putting in ANY extra time. One person is supposed to be my backup and she definitely has stuff she could be doing. The other is a young girl who does only what you ask of her and nothing more. I talked to my boss and her response regarding the person who's my backup is "Well, she said she didn't want to do Basis or be a DBA. She likes hardware." Huh? Since when does what you "like to do" have any merit in what you are "assigned to do". I need a backup. She's the logical choice (especially since there's no one else and we have a hiring freeze). I'm doing the work of 2 people doing Basis (administrator work) and security but she doesn't care because she's getting flak from the Board of Directors about this project. Saving her a$$ seems to be all she's concerned about. :mad:

Eating-wise I gained 3 pounds this week. I know some of that is water but I ate a lot of crap and had basically no time or energy to exercise.

Sorry for such a grumpy post. I know other people have bigger problems - like Karen with her van dying and those 1100 people at Harley losing their jobs.

I'm trying to get back on track. Eating has been good today. I just finished BodyMax2 step and leg circuits. Going to do a little house cleaning and do BM2 upper body either tonight or tomorrow.
 
Sue, glad you can update us on what's going on. I am so sorry you are going through this tough time. How stressful. Hope things calm down soon. Please take care of yourself. I miss you posts everyday but I know you are already very busy. Have a good week. I hope the you get the backup you need.:)
 
Today I am RESTING! Up til 3 last night...winter carnival dance! The 3 femlae exchange students spent the night along with DD and her BFF! I am still in my jammies and plan to stay like that all day!

Yesterday did Hardcore circuit.

Laurie, am going to check out Barry´s bootcamp.

Sue, you are doing great getting in some workouts with your work schedule. Sorry to hear about your "backups". I tell my students that there are those "soft skills" that employers value almost more than those skills for which they are hired: showing up on time ;), working hard, doing more than you are asked, etc.

Karen, think you´ll get out snowshoeing with the temps as they are? If so, you are once tough woman:D
