Morning BB's,

This morning was Barry's Bootcamp Upper, Missions Specialist Advanced Upper & Abs. I went all out on the circuit training workout, and my HR was in my upper target HR almost the whole workout. This could almost be considered Hiit. Yesterday I got in W8D1 of GW28K on the tm, because that rain was just coming down way to hard to run outdoors.

Measurements from 30 Day Slimdown:

Waist: -1/4"
Hips: -3/4"
Thighs: No Change
Calves: No Change
Chest: -1/2"
Weight: -1/2 lb

Overall I'm well pleased with this 30 day experiment. ;) The first three weeks of this rotation, I don't think that I was giving myself enough calories. The last week I increased the calories, and I think that is where the 1/4" in the waist came from. ;)

Have a great day!

HI there! Busy week last week and so glad this is a new one! Still have not recieved my P90X but hope to have it within the next day or so, at least that's what the UPS tracker tells me. I want to start it this week. So today is the elliptical(Extreme HR intervals) followed by 10mn Solutions BBT for abs and glute work.

Saturday I did KPC and some pilates. Sunday we were at a Basketball tournament from 7:30am to 6pm. :( I'll be so glad when this season is over!

Laurie, Awesome Job!! Woo Hoo!! I am going to be taking my "before" pics for the 90 Days today. I think I'll be the only one who see that one! LOL! Unless my "after" is just so totally awesome, then maybe...

Hope you have a good night!

Hello to all of you other Buff ladies!
Take care- Susan

Well, I was able to get here before Thurs this week! Fri I swam and Sat I did STS legs disk 6 and HiiT pyramids...THAT combo was a killer.

today was pyramids again, a bit easier than on Sat...but still a great workout. tomorrow is STS 7.

Nice results, Laurie!

Susan, I can´t wait to hear your reviews of P90X.

Hi everyone!

Laurie - Great results! I start 30 Day Slimdown tomorrow so wish me luck. ;)

Susan - I'm anxious to hear what you think of P90X, too. When I get closer to my goal weight I may consider trying another rotation. Right now the higher rep/lower weight thing plus more cardio seems to be working for me.

Lala - Great workouts. I haven't tried the HIIT pyramid yet.

Tried Cardio Core Circuit on Friday night and at first I thought it was crazy tough and then I started to like it. Did the Express Circuit premix of CCC yesterday (34 min.) and liked that a lot. You do all the circuits and core work but only do the cardio once per circuit (no repeating). On Saturday I did an Exercise TV/Fit TV mish mosh of cardio and full body weights. Today is rest.

Good night and sleep tight!

Hi there! Was up a lot last night. DH was in the bathroom with the flu!:( Praying I don't get it too! Hope to do CTX Kickbox cardio and BFBM last 4 sections. Keeping fingers crossed that P90x shows up today!

Sue, good luck as you start your new rotation! I bet you'll have just as much success as Laurie!

Laurie, what are you going to do next?

Hi Lala!!
Hi Karen! Hope the new job is going well!

Have a great day- Susan

Morning BB's,

This morning was W8D2 of GW28K, and I would like to get in Barry's Bootcamp Lower Body, and Mission Specialists Advanced Lower after work.

Susan, Hope that P90X gets to you soon. ;) I have a before pic from July of '09, that will only appear when I reach my goal. ;) I'm with you on that one. :D After this week I have 2 weeks left of Gateway to 8K, and I will be incorporating Barry's Bootcamp / Cindy Whitmarsh's 10 Days to a Better Body. Then on Feb 22 I will be starting Insanity. :) Excited / Terrified at the same time. :D

Lala, What a leg combo you put together.

Sue, Good luck with the rotation, I really enjoyed it. Just love the way my shoulders/arm got defined. ;)

Have a great day!

Just letting you know I did got the P90x today! Have to get my chores done so I can sit down and look it all over! :p

DH is still very sick with the flu. Hoping I do not get it. My tummy has been a little "off" today and I am hoping it'll go away!

Have a good night! Need to watch Biggest Loser too!

Today was STS 7.

Susan, hope you don´t get that flu! Have fun with the previewing!

Laurie, Can´t wait til you tell us about insanity! It truly does look insane on the previews I´ve seen.

Sue, Didn´t even realize that Cardio Circuits had premixes...will have to check it out.

Hi Karen! I know you have a busy week...hang in there!
Hi Cheryl

Morning BB's,

This morning was Results 10 Days Upper, and 30 MTF Weights Biceps, Triceps, Shoulders Premix with Abs.

Susan, Enjoy reading all the information that comes with P90X. I just had a guy at work ask me about those workouts yesterday. He had seen the infomercial. Hope you avoid getting that flu, sounds nasty.

Lala, Will give as much info as I can. :D I didn't know that cardio circuits had premixes either.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. ;)

Have a great day!
Laurie

Hello everyone,

I can't beleive it's Wednesday already - where did the week go??? I've been busy getting income tax information around and organized for our farm for a tax appointment with the accountant next Tuesday:eek: Also decided to clean out one drawer, shelf, etc. every day. I am becoming too unorganized and it must stop now! Among all that I have been able to workout according to schedule. Monday was Power Hour and yesterday was Hiit 40-20. 40-20 was easier yesterday than it was last week - must be making progress somewhere.

Susan - hope you didn't come down with the flu. Enjoy P90X. DH has been eyeing up the infomercial lately so maybe he will be trying my set soon.

Lala - Hiit pyramid was a killer for me. Couldn't wait until the downward portion of the second wave....

Laurie - great results from all your hard work. I wish I had taken measurments before I started the Jan. rotation. Maybe I will take measurments Feb. 1st and track from there.

Gotta wrap up for today. Not sure if I will be able to fit in a workout - maybe just yoga and stretching. Will let you know tomorrow.

Hello to everyone else. bye for now.
Cheryl

Susan - Have fun with P90X! It's amazing to me how many people know about it and have actually done it from the infomercial. A guy at work was talking about it one day and you could have knocked me over with a feather. He's not in bad shape but he's young and eats junk food all the time. Obviously, he doesn't follow the diet! :p Hope you don't get sick. What do you think of the red team on BL? Quite the drama. . .

Lala - I didn't know CCC had premixes either until the other day. Great job getting your workouts in.

Laurie - I think you're "insane" ;) for trying Insanity but I know you'll do great.

Cheryl - Aaahh, taxes! I dread those every year because I need to work on it together with DH (he remembers stuff I'd miss) but he's such a procrastinor that we always end up doing them at the last minute. Does your DH workout? I'd like mine to try P90X but he likes going to the Y.

Hi, Karen! Work and other stuff must be keeping you busy. Hope all is well with you.

Started Jillian's 30 Day Slimdown yesterday. Did Shred #1 + 30-30 yesterday. Today was Shred #1 + Bootcamp cardio. Going to do a Leslie mile or 2 tonight. Still walking at lunch when I can but they're not power walks by any means.

Have a great day!

Hey Ho! Well I slept horribly last night. My tummy is really bothering me but I refuse to give in! I even did my very first P90x workout, chest& back followed by Ab RipperX! My chest is really starting to hurt after all those pushups! Tonight I preview Plyometrics to do it tomorrow! I like it so far and I do like Tony as well.

I too need to gather up all our tax info so I can call our accountant and set up an appointment.

Sue, hope you like your new rotation!

Laurie, how close are you to running a 8K?;)

Cheryl, I am hoping DH will want to try it after I am done. So far, he just calls me crazy! My DS said I am going to be one "buff Mom!":D I sure hope so!

Have a good night ladies! Susan

HI there. Home from work sick today. I need sleep! :( Don't think I'll be able to do Plyometrics. I did preview and it looks fun! Hoping I can rid myself of this bug fast!

Take care- Susan

Morning BB's,

This morning was Results 10 Days Lower. That was all I had time for, because of getting the dog to daycare. When I get home I will be running on the tm, and doing W8D3 of GW28K and 30MTF Weights Workout #1 which is Chest, Back, Legs.

Cheryl, Oh yes taxes! Have fun with the organization, happens when you get busy. :( And of course you have that little girl to entertain. :D I rely on the tape measure more so than the scale, so yep just take those measurements and start from there.

Sue, Have fun with 30DSD! Acronyms got to love them. :D I like that you combines the Shred with 30/30, very good idea. ;)

Susan, Sorry to hear that you are home sick, take care of yourself. I think you will have fun with PlyoX, at least I always did. I find Tony funny. :D I will be running an 8k in the last week of this rotation. The have you running for a full 50 min., so my pace is suppose to be a 10 min. pace. I probably will not sign up for an 8k, but am going to try a 5k. :D

Have a great day!

Morning BB's,

I got in Barry's Bootcamp Fat Blaster Upper, Mission Specialists Advanced Upper & Abs. Last night I did get my run done on the treadmill, and upped my speed from 6.0 to 6.3 so that I was running under a 10 min. pace. :D Didn't get the weight workout finished, because my legs felt like jello after that run. Will get a lower body weighted workout done on Saturday with MM Premix Lower Body. :D

Hope everyone has a great weekend, I have nothing exciting planned. Will get Barry's Fat Blaster Lower, MS Advanced Lower and of course the Muscle Max workout done. Sunday is week 9 of Gateway to 8k, which will probably be run on the treadmill if this weather doesn't improve.

Bye for now!

Laurie - 6.3 is a great pace! We don't have anything exciting planned either but that's okay. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Did NMTZ last night. Tonight I will do Shred #1 and whatever cardio I feel like doing. Tomorrow is BFBM and Sunday is Quick Trouble Zones. Thinking of doing all of NMTZ instead of just the Quick because I need the work on my lower body. Monday is checkin for our Biggest Loser Challenge. I'm down another pound from 2 weeks ago which isn't bad considering I've been cheating a lot on my diet. We'll see if I can get that number down lower by Monday. Maybe do all 3 HIIT back-to-back? NOT!

Everyone have a great weekend! Pray that Jimmy the Groundhog doesn't see his shadow. :D We need an early spring after the past few days.

Hi there! I am still alive! I am not 100% but much better than yesterday. I pretty much slept all day long and my fever was gone this morning. Today I will be doing P90's Shoulders/Arms/Abs. Tomorrow is supposed to be YogaX but I'll probably do Plyometrics instead since I was too sick to do that yesterday. Then Sunday I'll do the YogaX.

No other plans really, DH and his buddy are in a ice fishing tournament. DS is going with him. I was thinking of taking DD to a movie. I want to see "The Lovely Bones" since I read the book and I loved it.

Laurie, congrats on the great pace on the treadmill!:D Enjoy your quiet weekend!

Sue, you are doing well on your weight-loss, especially since you've been cheatin' ;) ! Hope you have a nice weekend as well!

Take care ladies! Stay healthy!!!

Susan

Gals - I know most of you don't come around to the Cathe forum on the weekend but I was so excited I couldn't wait until Monday to post. The scale was down another 2 pounds this morning bringing my total now to TWENTY POUNDS!!! :D I wasn't sure if it was possible to get back to the weight I was before the "project from hell" at work started 2 years ago but I DID IT and I'm so happy. My goal for the BL is to lose another 10 in 8 weeks. I know it's possible but will take a lot of hard work. Wish me luck!

Off to do the happy dance! :D :D :D

Woo Hoo!!:D Way to go, Sue! So happy for you! You can reach your goal! The last 10 pounds are always the hardest but I know you can do it! Congratulations!

Bad news from me.. While doing Plyometrics (P90x), my calf muscle started to bother me, just when I was thinking of taking a break to stretch it out, my calf went "POP" and man oh man is it sore now!! Yep, I pulled it in a big way. I am icing it and elevating it and keeping it wrapped. I pray this will not take long to recover. Everything I am reading says a few weeks!!:( No, no! I have never injured myself like this before! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Oh, no, Susan! :eek: :( That's awful news about your calf! I've never had an injury like that before but I'd definitely ice it like crazy and rest as much as possible. See how it feels in a couple days, if it's getting any better, and ease back into it sloooowly. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it heals quickly and is not something serious. {{{{{ hugs }}}}
