Gayle, how did your interview go?
I could not bring myself to do PUB today so I did a power yoga video. I am not sure if I should keep posting with this group right now because my needs have changed lately. I'm still going to follow a loose BFL schedule...3 days a week of cardio, but it will not be all intervals, it will most likely be a mix of elliptical hills, step, and maybe a little Tae Bo. But right now, instead of doing the pyramids I think I am going to be doing power yoga. I think that it will be good for my mental well-being, especially with all the sleep problems I've been having lately. I will also be following the BFL eating plan. I was sure to plan out today's meals last night and I've done really well today. I've said it before and I'll say it again...it's amazing what something as simple as planning out your meals can do for good eating. |

Hi Jill,
Going to miss you but there isn't any reason you can't check-in even if your not following the exact workout plan. At least you are following the BFL eating plan. But I don't think of this as a diet or otherwise..just a new way of eating better. Sincerely, |

;( The Sox just lost. ;( Bummer. ;(
Oh well... Jill, I think that it's important to do whatever you enjoy doing, because the bottom line is that it's consistency that gets us results. So, if yoga works for you right now, that's what you should do. One of my best friends switched about a year ago from high intensity running and weight lifting to strictly yoga, and I have never seen her look better. She's 5'9' or 5'10" and comfortably in size 4s. She does yoga five times a week, and throws in two, maybe three cardios. She loves it, and like I said, looks great. As much of an inspiration as she is though, I just couldn't sign on to the yoga thing at all. It just wasn't for me. So even though I'd love to achieve her results, I couldn't get myself to enjoy it enough to be consistent. On the other hand, since I started BFL I haven't missed a workout and have been able to stick to the eating plan. Obviously, The BFL way is much better for me, and I'm confident I'll get results this way. So...do whatever you think is best for you right now. But don't be afraid to post with us! You're still following the BFL eating plan and cardio, and your approach could add a different perpective to our discussion. Time for bed. Catch you all tomorrow. Jennifer |

Thanks guys!
Jennifer, I am so picky about my yoga. There are many that I don't like and I do prefer a more athletic power yoga style workout. I really enjoy it but I also really enjoy weights...there's just not enough days in the week to fit in everything that I would like! Maybe once I'm more settled I can get back to the weights because I love how my body responds to them. But school will be quite stressful for the next few weeks so I think the yoga will help manage my stress a little better. I don't know if I'll get to sign in tomorrow as I have things to do before school and tomorrow is my long lab day. Ugh, I hate chemistry! :P |
