Good morning and welcome to YOUR WEEKEND!!!
What's on the agenda?

Today is a rest day for me, and the repeat of Week 1 of Meso 2 starts tomorrow. 1 DS has a baseball scrimmage, the other DS has a BDay party (at the same time, of course). Then tonight, BF and I, along with several other couples, are going to the State Theater to see Late Night Catechism. It's supposed to be a really funny show, so I'm looking forward to it. Some of us may do dinner beforehand, if I can figure out the logistics of getting both boys home and me out the door in time.

The wind is HOWLING here. And it looks like it might rain, so we'll see what happens with that. I'm headed to make breakfast and then print my workout cards for this coming week!

Mary, how was DS's geography bee yesterday???

p.s. WE CAN DO IT!!! Clean eats for me today!

Happy Saturday Everybody!!!!

Gayle-Thank you for sharing your story about DH. It saddens me to think of the challenges you have had to go through so early in life, but you have such a remarkable look on living! Your story will stay with me when I have to face lifes difficult challenges. We have some amazingly remarkable people on this forum, and I am so thankful that I'm part of this group. Thank you all for sharing pieces of your life with us!!

Yesterday was a day full of driving and sitting and sitting and sitting. The most exercise I got was walking from the University parking lot to the location of the contest. Let me just say I'm not a good sitter, so I was constantly squirming in my seat. The majority of the questions the kids were quizzed on I had absolutely no idea of the answer. There were many questions on countries, rivers, mountains etc. that I had never, ever heard of before, and when my DS answered the question right, my jaw would drop. My DH is pretty knowledgeable about geography, and he also didn't have a clue on many of the questions. My DS didn't make it the finals, but that's not stopping us from taking him out tonight to celebrate a wonderful accomplishment.

Unfortunately, I'm at work on this beautiful Saturday morning. The sun is shining and I would much rather be doing anything else but office work! I'll work until noon then go the grocery store and then head for home. Our office is closed on Saturdays, but I can get so much more done when the phones aren't ringing and people aren't interrupting me. I am planning on taking an extra day off of work this coming week because DS is on spring break, so I need to get a little ahead of schedule in order to take the time off.

I am going to sign off for awhile so I can get my work done, then I'll CBL for personals!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day so far!!

Mary

Good morning!!
I have been trying to catch up on personals..,now that my son is better :)
Mary sorry about your accident I am glad you were not hurt!! Congrats to DS that is quite an accomplishment!!!

Good Morning Everyone!
I want to get a quick note in before everyone gets up!

The refrigerator came yesterday and it doesn't work! So here's what happened. They show up, my GF and I unload my refrigerator...they haul it out and into the truck. Hook up water, etc on my new one and it won't turn on! Look story short, they bring the old one back in and left the new one as a "brand" specialist will be out on MONDAY to see what the problem is. I have company coming tonight and of course everyone gathers in the kitchen! So I have TWO refrigerators in my kitchen!

The good new is we ( DH, company, and me) went to dinner last night on Elliot Bay. It was fantastic (girls I had halibut, aspargus, a fabulous salad). It was fantastic food, the only bad thing I did was have a pomegranite martini!.

Okay, got to go! People are getting up! The big party is tonight!

Gayle, MESO 2 tomorrow! Yippeeee!

Mary, don't work too hard and glad you had a good time yesterday!

Tracy, I'm so glad DS is better! :D

Hi Guys,

I'm gearing up to do CC4 today, but I had breakfast with my family, so I'm waiting to let the food settle a bit...:)

Have fun a the show tonight, Gayle! I hope you get the boys back home in time so you get to have fun doing dinner out too!

Mary, I can just imagine sitting there like you, not knowing if I should cheer or not at some answers.... Geography has never been my strong suit....
I'm so glad you guys went celebrated! Your son definitely deserves it!

Tracy, I'm glad to hear your son is doing better!

Yesterday, our school was putting on a picnic with parents on the school grass. However it had rained and so I didn't think people were going to get their bottoms wet.... So I told my son I would prepare him and his little sister a picnic lunch that they could eat on the living room floor on a picnic blanket. He then had the idea of making a tent to eat it in. So I pulled out some old sheets and constructed a tent using our kitchen chairs... The kids loved the tent so much we ended up scrambling around the house finding other chairs so we could sit down and eat without breaking down the tent. It so happened that my son was star of the week and brought home a stuffed animal that you are supposed to take with you on your activities and take pictures. So we had some good pictures. Then my son decided he would like to spend the night in the tent with his star of the week stuffed animal....:) He did very well. My son said, I could never work out again, because he wants the tent to stay right where it is, where I usually work out...:)

Jo, I hope your new fridge works well! We got a new one a year ago and it just stopped cooling at the right temperatures.... They fixed it yesterday to the tune of 300.- claiming it was a non warranty issue. And this after only a year!

Maggie, how fun that you are using sonlight too! I have bought all the books for my son even though he is not being homeschooled this year and I plan on getting the books every year for supplementing! He really loves the science experiments! I preread all the books, enjoying it probably more than he...:D I have always been a bookworm.
I hope your garden max and easter max and other maxes are going to be enjoyable as well as productive. I just did my garden a couple of weeks ago and it looks great right now.

I'll probably check back later, for now, CC4 awaits me.

I don't think I have checked in all week. Sorry about that. I don't know where the time went this week. It was my active recovery week. I start Meso 2 tomorrow.:D I did cardio kicks today. I haven't done that one in years (I think)
I got a body bugg and I have been playing around with it all week, and figuring out the website and everything it can do. It is pretty cool. It seems I burn a little less calories per workout than the workout manager says I should. I am finding even with my workouts I only burn about 2000 calories a day:(. I know that I am short but I thought it would be a little higher than that. The program says I should be trying to burn at least 2300 calories a day. I guess I have to find ways to be more active through out the day. I tend to be a slug when I am not working out. Unless I am clothes shopping, which I try to avoid, due to the amount of money I spend .

Gayle- You are such an amazing person and mother. I am sorry for your loss and all you went through, but your energy and drive amazes me!! Your boys are lucky to have such a great mom. And as I recall, they are well behaved. You made me laugh when you realized we met in January. I thought you knew. :p Have fun tonight at the show.

Mary- glad you are okay after your accident. No matter how small, they are horrible and scary. congratulations to your son. You must be so proud.

Jo-Yes!!! we start meso 2 this week. Are you psyched...I am!! I got the extra equipment I needed this week. And in the words of spongebob.....I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready!!!;)
Have fun with your company tonight. good luck with the fridge

ASUdaisy- how are you doing with the beck diet? I just got that book and it seems to have some good strategies in there to avoid eating when you shouldn't be. As a matter of fact, today I was putting together some net to throw a baseball against for my kids. I was so frustrated I felt like eating. (yes I am an emotional eater) So I was able to distract myself and calm down (I flexed my resistance muscle ;)) One on my distractions is to come on these forums and what is funny I tried to get on at that time and I was having a problem. I kept getting an error message- so that was frustrating me too!!! So I just read my reasons card. It seemed to help. I went back to the net and put it together. It looks crooked but its together!!!

Cedrine- Hope you had a good workout with your cardio coach. I like them, but the last time I used it I injured my calf running on an incline. I haven't done it since.

Have a great night everyone. I have to take my son to baseball practice.

Hey guys. Just a real quick post before I sign off for the night!

The show tonight was AWESOME and hysterical and so much fun!

Dinner beforehand, another story, indeed.

Originally the others chose Olive Garden, which I was against because there isn't much there that is 'clean enough', and I didn't want to ruin our WE CAN DO IT roll that I'm on! But the other couple was running late so we had to change plans anyway. I was pushing for a local pizza place, where we go quite often and where I know I can get a healthy salad. But nope....the other 3 HAD to have Pizza Hut! YUCK! I sucked it up and had a salad from the salad bar with vinegar and a tad of oil. I was starving by the time the show was over, but I waited till we got home and I had my BSN Lean Dessert Protein shake and am NOW enjoying some hot green tea. VERY PROUD of myself.....I was actually a bit disgusted....the other 3 shared a LARGE meat Lover's with extra cheese, and they had a hard time deciding who should eat the last slice. YUCK! All that grease.

BUT I DID IT, thank you very much!

Now, good night, and I'll see you all after my workout tomorrow morning (disc 13 for the second time).

Gayle

Wow, Gayle, that is amazing! I am so impressed! great job!

You know, I had dinner at olive garden the other day and I checked out the website menu. they have nutrition info on it and they acutally let you substitute things. I ended up having grilled chicken there with extra veggies instead of potatoes and stayed away from the breadsticks.... Check it out for another time....:)

Chrissy, tell me more about the body bugg, I've never heard of it. I am like you, pretty much a slug if not working out... I'm working of having an over all more active life, it's not easy. I like to read so much.... Cardio coach was good, but for some reason it went from warmup right to challenge 2 then 3 then 1.... but I figured the order probably doesn't matter...
