40's falling for you

I feel a bit of fall in the air here lately, hence title. Did CSS + step PM. I was a sweaty mess, not sure why but it's always a good sweat! Now I'm sitting here with, yep, you guessed it, jello on my hair...this time twice as strong....it's sticking straight up right now. DH tried so hard to hold back his laughter. Ah, I'm always good for a laugh :) Dinner was nice, the new GF seems a perfect match for DS20. There was some shady characters outside the restaurant (we were in downtown Denver), ended up that someone tried to open DS23's car door (it was locked) at a red light (we think to try to steal it), OY, DS23 carries concealed, and opened his door, pushing guy down to ground and draws. I hope that kid doesn't get himself into trouble! Cops came, took the guy for a 24 hr hold. Thankfully car behind DS stayed to give testimony. So once i got home, couldn't really get to sleep and then once i did, didn't sleep well.

Penguin, enjoy your KB, do you have some DVDs to do with it?

Roxie, poor GS, hope he gets better soon.

Mary, you must be having a busy kid weekend.

Waves to Murphy and Ronne and Jody.

Good Afternoon,

I was going to do Yoga Relax but ended up cleaning the house instead I may do it later.

Lisa-that sounds really scary and I love the title. I am having withdrawal for gs.

Holy cow Lisa! That sounds scary! Glad all is ok! Roxie, how is the baby feeling? DD? I did YM today, I am all dogged out! No work out from yesterday, dance day! DD was beautiful! DS very handsome! They all had dinner at Olive Garden, went to dance. We met the boy, nice, a little dorky! He wore a tux, gave her a bouquet of flowers? (I thought they got wrist corsages?). He grew the flowers himself? Thought he was kidding, but he really did! He also asked her to be his GF, she is on cloud 9! We shall see how this goes! Jody, how was your dad?. Ronne, how was your company? Murphy, you feeling all better? I saw there is a new person, Hello! Well, have to get to the wash and football! Mary

Today is a rest day but Hubby's cleaning his office and I'm working on other big projects that I can get his help with. Our church annoucned that they have a new pastor specifically for us 40's and will start an Sunday school class just for us. Interesting, I"ve never heard of a pastor for this age group before.

Lisa, glad all is well with DS23, good for him! Glad the new GF is nice. Why do you have Jello on your hair? I have few AOS and Lauren Brooks dvds. I bought most of my kettlebells a few years ago and thought they were okay, but picked them up again this year and liked them more. I prefer to concentrate on the strength aspect not the cardio. I have a 10, 15, 25# already and thought I'd get a 35# next for swings but I couldn't pass up the 20#, even if it is grey.

Scubagirl, he sounds like a sweet guy.

Roxie, hope GS is better.

Good Evening,

GS is still in isolation and I really miss the little guy, I haven't seen him since Wednesday. DD is still having issues with her legs but I think most of it is lack of use she doesn't move around a whole lot but you know as a mom I don't know anything.

Penquin-she puts jello in her hair to make it shinier and healthier.

Mary, prom date sounds so sweet! (But I super heart nerds.) I'm happy your kids had a nice time and I am sure they looked beauty/handsome.

Lisa! wowsers to story, no wonder you didn't sleep well. Do you think ds went beyond what was permitted? It seems a little edgy but w/in limits. Poor DS 21, hope he didn't lose too much meet the new honey thunder. : ) Glad you like her for your son.

Peng, nice to see you here. Maybe new minister has a special certificate or training in peri-menopause issues? : D

Ronne, been meaning to ask, do you drop into back bend or go up into bridge? I'm envious if you are bendy flexy strong enough to do back bend.

Roxie, is gs better? Maybe they can cuddle up, have a nurse in and just recover from birth and get used to life. (can you tell I think bf solves everything?)

Hi Murphy!

Dad visit nice, but I'm behind on stuff, including workouts and wt loss. I was onetwentythree.eight Fri morn but I'm sure I'm up again. Oh well.

We did go to one last Target and Walmart, while we didn't find the Weider set we did find a 35# kettlebell, with no price. After some debate and a trip up to customer service and back they found a price, knocked a little off and we bought it for around $50. Yay!

Roxie, thanks for the jello explination. I didn't consider softer but I've heard of using koolaid to dye hair/yarn so I thought that may be the reason.

Faith, if he does have special 'peri' training I would love to audit THAT course, LOL! "should your parishoner start screaming... should you a) duck and run for cover, b) pray c) point out her husband then run d) all of the above

Jody-I have always been a no believer in bf and his being sick from a cold just proves they aren't any healthier then bottle fed babies.

Penguin, I used unflavored jello....it's good for fine, damaged hair. helps give it structure, fills in the holes in the hair to make it stronger. I have 3 KBs, 18,26,32. I don't do the KB w/o's so much anymore (too many workouts, so little time). I do use them for 1 arm rows, plies, and other exercises when I want a weight that I don't have in a dumbbell. Congrats on finding what you wanted! I remember my glutes getting worked a lot with KB workouts.

Jody, Did DS overreact to situation, not sure, who knows what the guy would have done next. Sometimes I just wonder about what this world is turning into....over crowded, and who knows what else. It's not the world I grew up in! Denver is known for violence....in fact one summer in the 90's, there was a lot of violence and many in the suburbs avoided it. This summer hasn't been great. A police officer was shot at Jazz in the park over the summer....crazy!

Roxie, did they catch something in the hospital? My BFF caught a really bad bacteria when she delivered. They didn't think she was going to make it for a while. No antibiotic was working, specialist they brought in used blood thinners to get then to work.

Mary, how cute that boy was! Your DD must be on top of the world. Her first year in HS and a BF already, you're going to have to watch her! :)

DH and I went out for sushi (got waaaay too much, ate at 2 and still stuffed). Came home, laid down to read and off I was to dreamland.

Hi all

Lisa - gosh, that is a scary story. Does it worry you that DS carries a gun? I'm afraid the US and guns thing just frightens me.

Roxie - hope GS gets better soon

Jody - sounds like you had a good weekend with your dad - it's nice that our parents still treat us if they're still around!

Mary - that is so sweet about the twins. You must feel like they're really starting to grow up now.

Murphy - glad to hear you're slowly picking up the workouts again.

Hi Penguin and welcome to the group.

Had a busy weekend with no time for workouts. But we did manage two walks, one round the nice bits of the centre and one along the river. Feeling pretty tired this morning. Just a short workout planned today - a KCM Bootcamp. Got a lunch with fellow homeworkers today so will catch up with local news!

Doing Laundry-max and then Packing-max. I am going to w/o later this evening and do Muscle-max, then shower, do hair so that I can wake up and just shake it out and go tomorrow morning since we are leaving so early.

Ronne, yes, it does worry me. Not sure where he got this from, guessing from his BIL. Do all the homeworkers work in the same industry/company? What an interesting concept.

Good morning! Today did AB, it was harder than I remembered! Lisa, you leave tomorrow? You two are going to have so much fun! Ronne, have fun at lunch! It sounds like you always have something fun going on! Roxie, how is the little one? Jody, what a great dad you have! It was funny the boy was in a tux, it was homecoming, not prom! Well, he was on the home oming court, so maybe that's why? We are just going to be keeping a VERY close eye on the situation! He seems very respectful of her and us, I just get nervous! Murphy, you out there? Penguin, I could kick myself, a few weeks ago I saw the Weider set at Target for $15, I don't know why I just didn't buy it! Probably because the kids needed something. Have to run into work, have a good day! Mary

Nothing much planned for today, just hanging around to work on the house.

The company Hubby works for announced that they are closing the branch here in Memphis in Dec. We don't want to move somewhere else working for this company, we can't pay two mortgages and we would lose our house, even if we wanted to move, we can't rent the house out because we have a VA loan. We can't complain about this rule because the VA loan has been a great help to us over the years.

Good Morning,

I didn't sleep well again last night so I didn't go to spin class, tonite I will go to the gym and then do KCM MD when I get home. I plan on doing her Split Sessions Upper and Lower Body workouts this week along with Platuea Buster and then the wt machines at the gym and cardio everyday, I think I am probably overkilling but we shall see. Grandson is getting better but still not allowed visitors which is killing me.

Lisa-have fun on your vacation.

Ronne-I am like you I think the gun situation in the US has gotten way out of control anyone can get a gun.

Mary-I remember those teenage years enjoy.

Penquin-I got a phone call from my insurance company telling me that my mortgage company didn't pay my house insurance for the year. Does your DH have plans for another job?

I did a 40 min run and some pushups, dips and lunges today after taking Fr Sa Su off.

Lisa, have fun! Roxie, sounds like you are training for super G! Mary, I don't have a good idea what kids wear prom and stuffles since I didn't participate in any of those events and have passed my social incompetence on to my otherwise delightful teen progeny. Now, if I can just get them to boycott formal weddings (say no to the dress), I can save a little more money and stress? : D Peng, is your hubby going to look for different work in Memphis? Murphy, do you need another road trip shot in the arm? Ronne, yes, I'm lucky. This trip my dad fixed a leak under my kitchen sink and set up a wireless connection to an old desktop computer plus did some other stuff for my girls.

Lisa - have a great time!!

Penguin - that's bad news about your DH.

Jody - I like your attitude! Lots of schools have imported all this prom stuff over here - not looking forward to it! :(

Mary - what is homecoming? All these rituals I don't understand!

No workout for me today - I'm going for a pedicure/manicure instead! There's an offer on at a local salon so I thought I might as well take advantage. I've got feet like cheese graters after Corfu! The manicure will give me an excuse not to do any housework for a few days!

Good Morning,

DH started complaining about having to eat dinner so late so I am going to try working out in the morning. This morning I went to the gym and did the elliptical for 30 minutes and then I did KCM Split Sessions Upper Body and this workout made me wonder why I ever got a trainer it kicked my butt.

Ronne-homecoming is usually held in conjunction with a high school football game that is played at home happens in the spring and fall, a king and queen are crowned that are chosen by their classmates.

At Newark waiting for flight to Buffalo then 30 min drive after that to Niagara. I didn't sleep well last night either (been awake since 2am) and I got severe motion sickness on the landing. I hate getting motion sickness and it always happens to me.
