Where are the early birdies today???

My workout this morning was B&G…all of it. I decided to do a leg endurance workout today because tomorrow is my long run of 8-10 miles and I didn't want to completely fry my legs. But WOW! I haven’t done B&G since September and MAN did my BUTT feel it today! My run tomorrow may be more like a waddle!

What are your plans today?
DS has a basketball game at 2pm, but that’s it. I did CleanMax yesterday, so no need to do that today! HA!

Did 5miles speed work. I decided to go fast }(
Did some squats. Legs are feeling very strong.

Also worked back to PUB and also machines at the gym. I worked abs as well. Planks and lots of fun stuff on the machines there. I have some DOMS from working my chest yesterday-- I love it !!

Tomorrow is my rest day. Looking at next weeks schedule--I have more days of running--some shorter distances and a few long ones. Endurance is building :)

I need to clean the kitchen and familyroom up. Today is DH's bday. Having his mom over and my parents for some cake this afternoon. I know I'm gonna hear from his mom how I don't eat LOL. Oh well. Esp when I don't have a piece of cake. I don't like cake-- I know I'm weird :)

Then I think tonight it's dinner out and maybe hit the casino. It's his call. I know there is also a big basketball game he wants to watch-- but sports in my house is a given--so no need to say It's your birthday go ahead and watch. It's just a norm for us :)

Good morning, ladies!!!

Yesterday was a bad day. I fell off the wagon big time. Those horrible Girl Scouts and their delicious cookies!!! I only ordered one box of Thin Mints and they are all gone. I ate half the box and ds ate the other half. We have two other boxes that don't tempt me at all, so it should be good. My WO last night was step portion of SJP followed by all of SS. I felt like I needed a good run on the TM as well to counteract all those cookies, but I took a shower instead. ;0)

Today we are taking the wee ones to the pool (indoor, of course) then oldest ds has a bball game at 2:00. Then DH and I are going out for a date night. We are having sushi. :9 My absolute fave. So I am planning on a couple of protein shakes for meals today, absolutely no carbs, maybe some eggs and veggie sausage as well. I am out of Greek yogurt and very sad about it. :(

Gayle, I LOVE B&G! That is one of those that really works you, but it is doable. You don't realize how hard you worked until you can't walk the next day! LOL!

Well, I am off to nurse my Thin Mint hangover and get my day rolling.

Sounds like another great WO for you. Are you following a specific eating plan or just eating clean? I think of you when I get on my BFM scale in the morning. I am always amazed at your low BF%! Mine is no where near yours! Have a great time out with DH and tell him happy birthday from us!:) Win big at the casino!

Today is my free day/rest day and boy am i glad! I have been dragging my bootie all week!

My WI was ok,i guess...1.3 down! Dang its alot of hard work just to lose a mealsy 1.3 ! I kinda disappointed,was looking for a bigger lose! Ive been super good this week,and I didn't have an extra meal last sunday either! Oh well,it will come-all in due time


I will bbl with personals:)
 
Hey Amelia---would you rather be UP that 1.3??? Sorry, I don't mean that to sound mean, so don't take it that way! :) A loss is a loss! You're DOING GREAT, girlie!!!!

How is everyone? Im sipping some coffee and it looks to be disappearing awfully fast! Wahhh! That means I have to get my lazy butt upstairs and get some more! I wish I had someone to do it for me!

Gayle** Sounds like you had a good workout. I would recommend what you did! hehe I did that last week. I did PLB and then next day ran 11 miles, boy were my legs weak:eek: I managed to do it but in the beginning I didn't think I was gonna make it to 4 miles! lol

Kath** I on the other hand LOVE cake! There is a store near by that makes the icing with real butter. I know it "sounds" gross but taste WON-DER-FUL:9 :9 I think I could sit and eat the whole thing myself. I tell ya, if I found out I only had a certain amount of time to live I think I would eat that much cake and cheesecake that I would throw up! hehe As for the MIL woes...we won't go there again. Mine as tamed down probably b/c my weight as stayed the same for a while. Have fun tonight with DH! Sounds like your gonna have fun!!!

Becca** Man, you are in a million directions everyday:) My friend as 3 kids and between their schedules and the kids activites, they door is always swinging. She can afford to stay home (and if i were in her shoes I would) but she isn't the stay home kind. Instead they hired a nanny so that she can work and their life isn't do hectic. Its still pretty crazy over there though! Don't worry about falling off the wagon to much.They are my fav cookies to but for some reason we only get the stupid cream filled ones around here, I don't really care for those.

Ameila** Thats not to bad....just hang in there! You will get to where you want to be. Just think...if you lost that every week by the end of the yr you would be 140 or less...now that doesn't sound so bad does it? Did you take a rest day this week or is this your first one?

Im not sure what todays workout will be. Just cardio and abs but Im not sure what cardio workout I will do. I have some time to figure it out still. My scale is staying the same 121..not to bad at all and to tell you the truth Im kind of glad I know how to keep it there. When the scale goes up I get majorily freaked out!

And thanks everybody,i should stop whining about LOSING weight,gesh-a couple of months ago I would be thrilled to have lost 1.3;-)

here is a turkey meatloaf recipe that is in the eat for life book,thought i would share it!


6 servings

1 1/2 lbs lean ground turkey
1 onion, chopped
4 egg whites
1 cup salsa
3/4 c old-fashioned oats,uncooked
1 pkg NORR vegetabls soup mix
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 cup kethcup
6 portions of red potatoes
2 lbs green beans
3/4 c skim milk
2 tbs butter buds

1) Preheat oven to 350

2) In a large mising bowel, combine ground turkey, onion, egg whites, salsa, oats, soup mix and black pepper. Press mixture into a 9' by 5' loaf pan and spread ketchup over top. Bake in preheated oven until meatloaf is no longer pink in the center and juice is clear, about 60 minutes.

3) Approximately 25 minutes after putting the meatloaf in the oven, cut potatoes into 1-inch chunks. Place cut potatoes in a large saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until tender; about 20 minutes.

4) Cut stems off green beans and place in a large saucepan with 1 inch of water in the bottom. Heat to boiling over high heat; reduce heat and simmer; uncovered, for 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain.

5)Remove meatloaf from oven and let sit for 5minutes before slicing.

6)Drain the potatoes and return them to the pan. Mash while adding skim milk a little at a time. Add butter buds and mash vigorously until potatoes are light and fluffy.

Just finished LIS and watching LIC upper body premix. Doing Cleanmax and Wal-Martmax today.

Brfst.-special k waffle, boiled egg, and grapefruit
AM snack-if time probably just a protein shake
Lunch-soup of some kind and maybe a salad
PM snack-don't know
Supper-rotisserie chicken, fettucine alfredo lowfat and salad

I don't really eat scheduled meals on the weekend no time to busy doing things I don't do during week. I need some of advice I would like an all wt DVD I have plenty with cardio, but would just like wt work on some days. What would yu suggest? I was looking a maybe musclemax.

Lori: That sounds good. I love to bake and cook. Famous for many of my things--just don't get into eating the sugar stuff. Now chips and salsa --I'm all over that :9 :9 But I'm proud to say I have not had any in the last 54 days :)

Ok--off to the store. Hope I don't run into anyone. I be stinky still from workout :)
 
Amelia-I made that turkey meatloaf several times and even DS loves it! Last night I made a meatloaf that used shredded cabbage instead of breadcrumbs and it actually surprised me!

Gayle-mmmm didn't think of using cabbage instead of breadcrumbs! I think the next time I make it i will make a double batch and freese one...there so good on a sandwich too!

Kath-What kind of protien shake do you drink, i love my BSN protien shake mixes.

Good afternoon all -

Up early and did a 30 min interval jog (5 mph) but worked on inclines up to 8 so it was good.

Then off to KMart for "K Day" - the Hot Wheels raffle where the men look through boxes for special cars. DH is a Hot Wheels collector. At least I found a "treasure hunt" so not too bad. While he checks out the rest of the cars in the box, I go shopping}(

Didn't find a thing today, but went to a few stores looking for decor for my new fitness room. And made a trip to Trader Joe's for my cranberry juice.

Just doing household stuff now - will do a cardio WO later and probably a 30 min run on the TM. Even though I totally pigged out on some bad carbs earlier this week, was down a 1/2 a pound this AM so think the HIIT runs in the AM are helping. I did do 4DS BC & Bi's and Tri's last night and then did a 45 min TM run. Think it is helping with the lbs.

Lori - the run the other day with the 1 mile, then DM drills looked very interesting. May have to try that one for a cardio day soon. I am thoroughly amazed at you, Kath and Gayle and your running abilities. And you are motivating me to take my TM runs to a higher level. Absolutely love it.

Gayle - did B & G the other day too. I had done it a couple weeks ago and the other day wasn't too sore but still felt it.

Kath - have fun with DH tonight - my coworkers get on my case about not eating cake - we do bdays of the month at work and I rarely partake in the food portion. Just wish I didn't like it because like Lori, when I partake I do it well !

Becca - our cookies haven't arrived yet but it will definitely be a challenge for me to stay away. DS ordered 3 boxes of thin mints in addition to my 5 boxes. May have to get DH to put them in the safe and change the combo:7 But like I heard on Dr. Dean Edell (he is on a local TV network) if you are gonna eat the sweets, better to do it all at once and the effect is much less than a little bit every day over time. So good job at taking out half the box in only one day;-) Now you're done and today is a new day.

Amelia - great job on the 1.3 lb loss. Some is much better than none - and you beat me so don't fret - I'm happy to see the clothes fitting looser, what about you? The meatloaf recipe sounds good. Just bought ground turkey yesterday and was thinking of meatballs, may have to change my mind on that one.

Jacque** I make up runs like that very often. I will use any of cathes circuit dvds and run instead of doing the cardio in the workout. Most of the cardios are only a couple of mins long so this way I get in a longer cardio workout without really feeling the pain! hehe

Kath** I haven't been into shakes lately. I found these yummy bars at walmart called Slimdown. They are high in fiber and others are high in protein. I will eat the ones high in protein after a weight workout and the other ones on cardio days.

Ameila** Thanks for the recipe. Sounds yummy and your right, it would be good on a sandwich.

Roxie** Hope you enjoyed your day. When I am off on weekends my eating is kind of all over the place as well:)

Lori: That's great that you found what works for you post-workout. For me : I like a protein shake. I mix with 1/2 scoop whey protein and *things*. For extra carbs I sometimes add a banana. This works for me. I know everyone is diff.

I'm home from our fun night out. eating was right on track and I did have a some yummy drinks. But I deserve it. We also won-- so that's a little *icing* on the night :)
