Hi girls.

Todays workout was a bit awesome!! (If I do say so myself ha LOL)
I made it up as I went along. Started with a 10 min jog warm up, then did Charleans Burn it Off. Throughout that workout I did 2-3 mins jog/sprints. Running out the back yard around the menage and back into the house for those time periods. I am, now, totally exhausted! It took about 45 mins in total. Followed that up with some abs. Whew.

I mentioned yesturday how well everyone is doing. Seriously, you've all bumped it UP! So, thats why i've got to bump it up too! It was actually good to miss that week on here, come back and read what everyones up to. I do have to work tomorrow, hopefully I can check in quickly, if not you all enjoy your weekend and keep up the great WORK!

Today is a treadmill circuit using LIC...I will run instead of doing step!

Andrea, nice workout. I'm assuming it must have cooled off a bit if you were able to run outside.

Elaine, as for STS legs getting harder. I don't think so. Well I say that, but I've learned to modify some of the stuff I couldn't do, like the sit and stands. Now I use my risers instead of a chair so I'm starting a little higher than a chair would be. With the chair, I couldn't even get my bum off the chair while holding up one leg. The bonus legs on the ball at the end of 12 are killers. I also modified the wall/ball with the weights roll down, by putting the weights on my platform so I don't have to go as deep.

I am going to do GS BBS today and I didn't get GS leg floor work done so I want to try and do that to. The kids are not going to be returning home anytime soon so I have to figure out a way to work around them. I am starting to feel clastorphobic hope I spelled that right.

HI Girls,

No offical WO for me but I've been going up and down our stairs alot today. Trying to clean out the playroom and Dh has a real hard time throwing some of the toys out. He is such a pack rat. So up to the attic they go.

andrea: what a cool Wo you did!

Roxie: GS floor work is an awsome WO. You will feel it.

Amelia: Enjoy your circuit.

Jean: I use my high step for all the chair exercises. I don't have a chair in my basement. I also use my step platform for the wall squats. Otherwise I was struggling with holding 5 lb. dumbbells.:eek:

Well,i got my workout done...didn't want to do it though,I came home from work not feeling too good. Just very drained, i ate a turkey burger and felt a littlebit better. I made myself workout today:confused:.

I had to pick up Elizabeth early from school yesterday because she had a tempature, she took a nap when she got home and was complaining of feeling tired....she's feeling better today but i think im getting it:(. Must be some type of virus?

I did a run circuit....burned 462 cals. Now Im really tired:confused:

I'm wondering what heart rate/calorie burner watches you all have. What brands would you recommend? Thanks.
 
Andrea, I have a Nike Imara HRM - pretty easy to use and seems to give pretty reasonable numbers. Nice WO!

Hi Roxie, Jean, Elaine, Becca and anyone I've missed!

No WO for me today - just running around and helping DS w/ ANOTHER project. This was a model of our house - much more fun than the last few, but my bum is sore from sitting on the floor wielding the glue gun :D

Food has been seriously so-so to questionable the last couple days. Need to get back in gear and get a good WO tomorrow before our band concert. Just need to convince myself to jump on that elliptical! Maybe I'll see what they have @ the gym tomorrow morning...

Anyway, gotta run - time to change over the laundry. TTYL!
 
I have a Polar F11 when is really over kill. Lots of features I don't use. DH got it for me because I was going to use it to upload to a computer. I used that feature for awhile, but got stopped and never went back to using the feature.
 
Thanks girls for the info on the heart rate monitors. I need something easy but reliable (don't we all? LOL);)

Todays workout was muscle endurance. I am trying to build heaps of muscle so that my body "uses" up all the bad food I put into my body. AND Muscles burn FAT! Don't they?:eek:

The weather has cooled somewhat, although theres heaps of weather alerts out for Monday night and Tuesday, very hot, strong winds, then followed by flood warnings on Tuesday night! We desperatly need the rain, but FLOODS?!

Today's wokrout is a cardio...im debating a step workout or a run. If i do run it will have to be a run interval because im just not 'feeling' it today:confused:. If i decide to do a step i will attempt 4DS High intensity:eek:....BBL

Andrea-Ive got a Nike Imara like Andrea H....there very easy to use and i got it very reasonable at Amazon. I LOVE my HRM:) Great workout today...and YEP...according to a book that ive been reading(burn the fat,feed the muscle) More muscle does mean more calories burn.

Today is a rest day for me and I will be doing a stretch sometime. DH is going out of town this week but the kids are here so I don't know what eating will be like.

Amelia-try to enjoy whatever cardio you decide on.

Andrea-I will keep my fingers crossed you don't get any floods. Good job on your workout next wee. I am going to do a rotation with the slow and heavy series to als build muscle.

Hey girls....i just got through posting my tiny success in the 'success forum"! I did 3miles on the treadmill:D its a goal that ive been working on since janurary! Feels good to know that i can do it! I got on the treadmill for a run interval...but i never stopped running:)

Roxie-Enjoy your rest day...If you don't mind me asking,what does your DH do? What stretch workout are you doing?

Congrats Amelia. I did TBS #1. DH is what they call a route specialist for Sara Lee Bread formally known as Rainbo and whereever there is a route that is open because someone is either injured or on vacation he covers it. He is in Goodland KS this week which is about 6-7 hours away and he goes to work anywhere between 12:30am and 2:00am.
