^^^^^No sweets FRIDAY!^^^^^

hey guys!
Linda, :+ :+ :+ Sorry bout that yesterday! I got my kids some chocolate for behavior yesterday and DS didn't want anymore so he gave it to me while I was typing. That was the first piece of chocolate I have had since my anniversary on March 22, and for me that is AMAZING!

I am sitting here typing this and my dog Lucy keeps whining at me. She sees I've got my shoes on and she wants to RUN! She is so rotten. I am doing a 5k this morning and then later I will do BM2 upper body2x. I really miss the gym, I didn't realize how much until yesterday. I was expecting to be sore this morning because I did some machines and they work your muscles differently, but I'm not! Guess I didn't work hard enough, huh? I can make up for that today. :)

Hey gang!! Did I miss yesterday's thread? I came in late looking for it and couldn't find it. I was tired though :+

Missy, your Lucy sounds like my Muffie. She knows when I have my shoes on it's time to go for a walk. Actually she follows me around everyday around 7pm all excited because she knows the routine. It is so funny. Well, sometimes it's annoying ;)

I am so happy, the scale is down 3 pounds!! I really tightened up this week and it looks like it payed off!

Today is heavy upper body. I won't do that till this evening because I need DH here to spot. But I may try some cardio and see how my foot does. Cross your fingers for me!!

Catherine, it's okay to say that it's annoying because it is! I love this dog, but her whining can really drive me crazy. I wish she understood the phrase "Just be patient, baby" - I say it enough! :p My fingers are crossed for your foot!

My run was pathetic I am ashamed to say. I couldn't keep my core tight and so my upper body was sagging and I was slow. Ugh. I guess that is what happens when earthquakes wake you up an hour early! So, we started spring off with an earthquake, hopefully that means we won't have any tornadoes this spring!

Well, yesterday's eating was okay. Too high in fat again and had a late snack!x( Even had some dark chocolate 86%, that's healthy right?:9 :p

Missy - That's okay about the chocolate, good job going so long! Where do you live that you had an earth quake this morning?

Catherine - Hope the cardio goes well. That's nice that your DH will spot you. My DH has no interest in what I do, except in that it makes him feel inferior so it's a sore spot with him.

This morning workout was brutal the first superset just about killed me.
It was three sets of 15 with a two minute rest.

Back/Chest
Pullovers

15/15/15 - 30's **tried first set at 35's wasn't happening, tried next set at 31 1/2 wasn't happening, think pullovers pre fatigued the chest***

Quads/Shoulders

Hamstring Curls

Weighted bench dips

Then hanging ab work, 4ds calf work and C&W cardio only premix. And again that was enough!

Well, I guess today will have to be my cheat day. Not bad, but not the best day for eating.

I actually wound up doing C&W step premix this morning and did pull ups after each step combo. I did 5,5,4,4, & 4 then did one set of 5 assisted with the band. That's my best on pull ups!!! I guess doing those 2x per week has really helped. For the longest time I just focused on chinups (I think cause they are easier). It's nice to see some progress.

I never got around to upper body x( I took a nap this afternoon and woke up with a headache. I will do it tomorrow. The good thing is that my neuroma didn't act up too much with C&W step!

Linda, great w/o as usual!! Do you do pullovers with a DB or BB. I can do a 35# DB for pullovers, but it gets really hard to hold on to it!! I don't want to drop it on my face :eek: And how do you do your weighted dips? Do you put a plate in your lap or do you have a vest or belt? LOL at your DH feeling inferior to spot you!! My DH was commenting today that he could only do 1-2 pull ups after I told him what I did today :D

So Missy, did you make it with no sweets???

Catherine - Too funny how we both did the same cardio. I used a dumbbell for pullovers. You certainly don't want to drop a 35# db on your face! For the dips I put a loaded barbell in my lap, like Cathe. Nice job on those pull ups. I should start doing them more often, but I am afraid of interfering with my other weight work.
