Good Morning ~!

Im just getting us started! My intention is to go back and read yesterdays thread but I may not get that done before my parents arrive. They are here until lunch time or so.....

Yesterdays workout was GS & 4DS back and bics in the afternoon. And last night after DS went to bed I did a 5 mile run,most of L&G and PH abs. I only have tris left to work this week so I will do that today, and some cardio. Just not sure what or when!

O.k...I think I have caught up! Lets see how fast I can type this before I get interupted!:) Im going to count the interuptions!:eek: 2 so far!

Wendy** How is your neck today? When is your trip to vegas? You must be getting excited!

Laura** We use to have the biggest PIA where i worked! She got away with everything. She use to call in sick all the time ( I don't think he paid her for the days she went over her sick leave) but whenever I was suppose to have a long weekend, she would call in sick! She use to have some sort of surgeries every year! LOL I think she needed some work done on her brain! The only PIA we have now is the girl who in her twisted mind, wants to be #1 in our bosses eye! Im not sure why! I could careless about that kind of crap. She is hoping that we are going to quit b/c of the crappy schedule and she is going to be the last girls standing...showing her loyalty to him (normal...I think not) Anyway, she is talking from both sides of her mouth. One min she is going to do whatever it takes, the next min she is only doing this for one month.She is probably ticked b/c it looks like no one is quiting. I told the other girl to stay positive and not to let her know that we are rotted by these changes:rolleyes:
The worst DOMS I have ever had in my legs was last year when I did a 20k hilly run. There were some hills that were so long and steep that I never dreamed I would have to run! I couldn't walk for 3-4 days! It was crazy. I said I was never going to run that race again but its kind of like childbirth...I have forgotten the pain:eek:

Jacque** They switch me around at work all the time. This is the 3rd time since I want back last Nov. I am the flexiable one...and thats why they do it. There is a difference in being flexiable and someone taking advantage of you and thats how I feel right now. Some of the other girls left in the past b/c the parttimers (who work around their DH's schedule) always got first dibs! Isn't the point of part timers to fill in what the full timers can't do?

Diana** So are you thinking about doing the triatholn? (sp?) Ive been debating doing a FM but training for it will be the killer! When I was watching the biggest loser last night, the guy who was voted off ran a marathon with his wife! I thought...geez...if he can do it...so can I! Im tempted to sign up for one but Im not sure when or where!

I will check back later! Only 4 interuptions!!!!

Hi Ladies,

I just got up and have some back soreness. I'm sure it's from those 30 or 35 pounders I used yesterday-and lets not forget the pullups too! This morning is cardio and calls for cardio kicks. I have not done that workout in years. There are just so many other workouts I prefer. I'll decide when I get downstairs.

The friend I ran into must just be being induced on Friday. The triathlon training starts 5 weeks after she has her baby. I don't think she would do that if she was having a c-section. The triathlon training is offered at our rec ctr and I think it would be great for me.

Lori-I'm considering doing the triathlon. I've done it before (about 5-6 years ago), but used my mountain bike when most others had a road bike. I looked at the bike shop last night and saw some cheaper ones for between $550-$650. Wow, you are super woman with all that you do. I used to be able to workout like that. Now it seems my work schedule is cutting into my workout time. Of course I'm older and don't seem to have as much energy either.

Jacque-I'm going to check out the bench you mentioned. That sounds perfect for what I need. Of course I would love to have a regular squat rack but they are so big...and expensive. I think it's great that you got to catch up with DS the other day.

Wendy-not sure if you will check in today. Just in case, have a maaahhhvaaallllous time in Vegas!!!

Yesterday's eats:

I woke up starving which is very unusual for me. I had a toasted light english muffin with almond butter and jelly before my workout.

B-fiber one, protein powder, banana, EAS Light prot drink (forgot my almond milk)
L-salad w/ can of tuna
S-zone perfect bar
D-pork roast-made in the crock pot-it was delicious. I planned on steaming some veggies but didn't have time.
S-handful of chocolate chips. (this is why I struggle w/my weight!)

Morning Girlies!

Oh yes, I'll be here today and tmrw for sure, Diana! I leave on Saturday! We have a 1pm flight but I think we will be leaving our house before 9am since we have a few stops to make before finally catching a ride to the airport.

So I spent about an hour picking out my clothes for Vegas before taking DS to school. I am happy to say that I am just about done with that part of it. PHEW! :D On to toiletries, shoes and other such details....

Speaking of details, I need to look up the beach body bands online and take note of what weight range each band is supposed to mimic so that I can write it down and bring it with me. This way when I do my work outs out there I can just look at the list and immediately know which band to use depending on the weights I've been using here at home. Bands are a pain but I am going to give it a shot. If I am not happy with the work outs I get out there then I will re-do the week when I get back home with regular weights but no matter what, any work out is better then no work out! ;)

Diana: Oh yeah, my back has been talkin' to me as well. I am working it alot between CLX and my Centergy class. Gotta love it! :D Pull ups always gave me great DOMS in my lats. Ah the joy of not being able to sleep on your side cause your lats hurt too much! :p I am trying to convince DH that we should bring along the X vids so that he can continue his rotation out there. It's only 3 work outs and he can use the bands. He didn't want to because he couldn't do pull ups. I told him to do rows instead. He can do underhand or overhand depending on what grip they use for the pull ups! :)

Lori: My neck got better as the day progressed. It was still stiff last night but not painful. This morning though it hurt like hell again! :mad: I leave for Vegas on Saturday. YIPPEE!!!! :D Great work out y'day! What are your parents in town for today?

Jacque: Why wait? Come meet me in Vegas this week!:D:D:D

Oh I wish Ang was around. She would appreciate this...I might be going to see on Nascar race out there on Sunday with DH. Never been and honestly never had any interest until I went out to PA with him and he drove the car. Now I'm curious....:)

Morning Ladies ..

I am upfront w/my PIA today .. :confused: ... chanting "oooohhhmmmmmm.. .oooooohhhhmmmmmm" ... if that doesnt work resorting to duct tape and tranquilizers!!!! :confused: the day started off w/computer problems .. to me 40 minutes to sign on .. PIA had to work by herself ..:p .. gotta love Karma sometimes!!

Lori .. sounds like your first PIA is my PIA .. she constantly calls in sick (she gets paid for sick days) .. and the first of the month (our busiest times ..and my DH long weekend) she will be out or call in sick . . ESPECIALLY if she knows I want off or off early!! :mad: she also is a pro at wasting time ... ??? .. have no idea how she gets away w/it .. her newest scam is saying she is coming in on weekends to work (ya right) and making up time to leave early for her sons ballgames (so she doesnt have to use her vacation) .. this is what had my head spinning around like the exodust kid Monday ... :mad:... she is best at working to get out of work :mad:.. and what is even more maddening it is like the boss is scared of her .. he does NOTHING to her.. but we are made to follow the rules :confused: I dont get it and never will!!! Rewarding the sorriest employee we have!!

Wendy ... hope the neck is better .. I know you are getting excited about Vegas .. and Nascar .. you will have a great time .. have a friend that went to one out there .. had a package deal .. they had a lemo pick them up take them to the race .. her DH got to drive one of the cars and meet his favorite driver .. and the lemo drove them back (they are BIG gamblers though) .. I am so jealous .. sending winning vibes your way!!!

Jacque .. I know I saw that report about the acohol and women .. :mad: .. damned if you do and damned if you dont .. LOL!!! My theory is if you can burn it off the next day .. stay hydrated .... I dont see any problem w/it .. :D that's my story and I am sticking to it .. ;) ...

Di .. ok spill .. what are you doing the 35# DB on?? you are making me feel REALLY whimpy complaining .. I am struggling at pushing my weights up!!! Gonna try at lunch!!

I miss you Angie .. wondering how little beagle is doing?? Hope all is well!! I sure would like to touch base on your STS goings on!! I want to know someone is hurting like me .. LOL! :confused:

Hey hey hey . . .

Not sure if I'll be working out tonight or not - have an appt with an allergy specialist to get the shots to see what I am allergic to and if there is any hope. :confused: Won't be done until about 6 or so and not sure how I will feel so am playing it by ear. Like Diana, Cardio Kicks is on tap - Seems like I just did that one a bit ago from a FF workout. I like the kickboxing workouts but still have an issue with the upper hammy I pulled a few months ago so have to take it easy. Only hurts doing side kicks to one side so that is good.

Lori - wow you got alot accomplished workout wise yesterday ! Nice job. I remember your PIA from last year and how you full-time regs had the crappy shifts. I am sooooo believing these days that the nicer you are the MORE YOU GET SCREWED ! OK - done with the rant ! :p

Hope your visit with your parents went well and you got your workout in today.

Diana - Wowsers ! I pulled my back using a 25# doing one armed rows and you are way heavier than me ! Way to go ! I'm not sure my hands could even hold something that heavy for very long. Guess we will see as the months progress. By the way - you can "take my back" in a fight any time !;)

Yep, on the equipment I believe the bench was one that could adjust for incline too. Seemed perfect and not too large. So what workout did you end up doing this AM?

Wendy - Well you do a great job of getting ready for a trip. I just get up an hour early and pack ! :eek: Of course I'll shop for sundries and do laundry prior to that. LOL ! We don't go many places so I don't have to do it too often. And boy do I wish I could get away this weekend. And you mentioned NASCAR? That is DH's fav weekend TV show ! He would love to go see a race I bet. Hmmmmm . . .

Laura - OK, how'd the day end up with PIA? Hopefully you and SIL were able to take your mind off of her ! Nothing like an STS workout to "beat" you into oblivion ! Well I was disappointed about the TV report on alcohol, but then everything seems to get you one way or another, huh? I like the workout and hydrate option though. ;) Perhaps if I can drop about 5 lbs.

OK - eats yesterday totaled out about 1400 cals with macros of 40/30/20. And I didn't drink or eat sugar ! Woo hoo !

We'll see how long I can do this . . .

Off to finish a few things before I have to leave work. Have a nice evening girlfriends !
 
Hey Ladies,

Another hectic day. I couldn't find cardio kicks this morning so I did 40 minutes of Amy Bento's Kickbox Xtreme. I forgot how much I liked that workout. Tonight is meltdown class so I don't feel too bad about not getting a whole hour in.

Wendy-Oh yes, CLX works the back good. I think its great you are taking the bands. You wouldn't think they be as tough as they are. I can't believe you're almost all packed. Nascar sounds fun. Just the sound of the tires and the smell of the track would be awesome. Hope you have a wonderful time and WIN BIG!!!

Laura-the 35#'s were for the db single arm rows. Of course I have to use lifting gloves. Sorry you have to deal with PIA. I was lucky, my boss would let me work through lunch and leave early for my son's football, or baseball games.

Jacque-hope the doc comes back with some good news for your allergies. It must be awful to feel bad all the time. I'm going to look for that piece of equipment-it would be a welcome addition to my workout room.

Hi Gals:)

Late checkin for me tonight....but I had a late workout:D I am calling in sick tomorrow b/c my sitter is going out of town and I have no one to watch DS. I feel bad for lying but Im going to tell them that my sitter is sick. Not to mention that my boss as to get use to being there by himself b/c on the days I am working the night shift, he is there by himself. I am also a little ticked that I keep getting shuffled all over the place so why not use up my sick days? I can't carry them over and I don't get a pat on the back for not using them.

So my energy level was really lacking after dinner but I managed to find some energy somewhere. I did my tris work, 4 miles in 33 mins and abs( from STS cause i got them today!:eek:) Can't wait to try them!

Wendy** How long are you gone for? I hope you don't plan on consuming lots of CABS!:rolleyes:

Diana** Your friend as some high fitness goals for someone who is having a baby! Where will she find the time to workout, work and take care of a new born? I can't imagine. AND how many miles of running is in a triatholn?

Laura** Ha....takes all kinds my dear! Its funny how the bad people don't get in any trouble, isn't it?

Jacque** Did you get your workout in?

I should go and watch my t.v show! I will bb in the morning cause me is not going to work!!!!
