OK, I admit that I have a love/hate relationship with chinups :+ How long have we had this thread going? It's been over 2 years. I think we are going on three aren't we?? Wow, that's a long time. Dang, when I think about it that way, I feel like I should be doing like 100 chinups in a row
Well, I did legs and chins today. My usual Wed w/o. I am finding that it will take a bit of getting used to squatting in a cage. But that's fine. I love it I will moan and groan a bit about my chinup numbers this week. Here's my list of excuses: 1) the new bar on the power cage is different and set up for man 2) I haven't been feeling up to snuff lately 3) there really isn't a # 3 so I guess I will move along. Oh yeah, forgot to say that the new bar is harder (no soft cushie grip) and I don't have to jump to get to it. I can tip toe and grab the bar. So I really didn't think I was using that momentum from the little jump to the bar, but I guess maybe I was x( Anyway, here are my numbers:
weighted chins: 3+2 x 5 sets with 4.25# ( the first number is all me the second is with a light band assist) Last time I did weighted chins on my old bar I did 5x5 with wt. So I wonder if I should drop the weight and do 5x5 on my own again or keep the wt and keep trying to improve from here?? Advice anyone?
Joanne, I can not wait to see you again
Marcy, are you all moved in?
Briee, I know you've been busy working out }(
