*****Chinups,... Anytime, Anywhere*****

Cathlete
Hey gang!! I hope you all are enjoying the holiday weekend. I have enjoyed it a bit toooooo much I think x( Eating has been horrible. Summer time seems to be the hardest for me to keep my eating in check. Working out is not a problem. Although I have taken the intensity of my wt lifting down for a bit. Just no energy right now to lift heavy. So I am giving my body a break from that for a bit. Don't know how long, but a week or two.

Today I did BM2 cardio timesaver and pullups. Numbers are down a little, but I will work back up. Pullups: 4+1, 5+2, 4+2, 4+2, 3+2 ( the first number is all me standard grip, the second wide grip with a light band assist). Then I did a couple of sets of wide grip with the band for good measure.

Linda, I hope your knee is behaving

Briee, I know you are chinning. Come and give us a report.

Marcy, how's the new place?

Joanne, the road trip is getting closer and closer!!

Hi Chinsters!

I'm back to workout out regularly. The new place is coming along great. We just got our bedroom furniture delivered on Friday and it looks great. The headboard was cracked so they ordered a new one for us which should be coming on Thursday.

Yesterday I did 2 chins (almost 3) and one pullup. I also did Tracey Staehle's Core Blast - I was only going to do the one on the ball but was enjoying myself so much I wound up doing 7 out of the 9 workouts. I also did Push Pull - great workout to get back in the swing of things. Also mowed the lawn yesterday which much count for something - we have 1/3 - 1/2 acre.

My eating's getting better and my body fat % is finally going down.:) :)

Catherine - Thanks for letting me know about the e-mail from Tess Atl. I'm now signed up on the Yahoo group and hope to meet everyone soon. Do you live in Atl or were you just visiting a couple of weeks ago?

Waves to Joanne, Briee and Linda!

Marcy

Marcy, I am glad you saw the message. I live in KY and was in ATL for a conference. I am excited you get to meet the ATL group. I've met Lorie, Jodi and Carolyn!! They are all great people. Maybe one day I'll be back that way and get to meet with you.

Great job on the chinups and pullups BTW!!!

Hi Chinsters,

I just stopping in to post my workout real quick. I decided to do Warp Speed for the next four weeks, as i really do need to lean out and it's just really different so it seems like fun for a change. Anyway, it was probably one of the hardest workouts I have ever done. Definitely puke status by the second circuit. I don't know if it was because it was after a week of rest, my eating has been lousy or just a really hard workout, or all of the above but man oh man!

Strength
Squats to parallel hold 2 sec.
8 - 115#
8/8/8 - #110#

Circuit A 10 minutes
Push up/Prone Jackknife on Ball w/
Reverse Lunge w/ weight at shoulder
Did alternating sets of 6, completed 7 1/2 rounds.
Lunges: 30# DB

Circuit B - 10 minutes
Squat & Press w/
Chin ups
did alternating sets of 6, completed 9 1/2 rounds.
Press: 6/6/6/6/6/6/6 - 20's
6/6/6 - 15's
Chins: 6 unassisted
6/6/6/6 - assisted
6/6/6/6 - more assisted LOL! shortened my band!

Interval A
W/u 3 min, 6 intervals w 30 sec. max intensity 90 sec recovery, 3 min c/d. Done on treadmill 18 minutes, 1.25 miles and 197 calories burned.
***I was so tired by this point, legs are going to be hurting later I can already feel it coming!

**Knee wasn't real happy, disappointing after a four day rest!**

Have a great day!

OMG   Linda!!! I think I would definitely be at puke status for that workout!! You'll have to keep us posted on how it works for you.

Oh and if I did a 2 sec hold a the bottom of a 115 pound squat I would be able to get back up lol!!

I changed my plan today and did MM upper body premix and All Step (step only) from CTX. Nice workout, not too taxing. I think I will try to ease back into heavier lifting later this week. With emphasis on ease into and good form.

Morning Chinsters,

This morning was cardio following WS. So after w/u I did 1 minute interval using BM2 followed by 2 min step routine 3 times then did 5 minutes of Basic Step then back to BM2 for 3 1/2 rounds of the bonus cardio.

Hello Anyone?

Back from taking family to dentist, myself included, then out to mow the lawn. Just wanted to stop in and post this morning's workout. It's day 3 of WS strength and circuits. Those circuits are killer - if you want 10 minutes to last forever you have to do one of these! LOL!
Also keep forgetting to tell you my quads are still so sore from Monday, it hurts to walk and to pee! So doing all this and yesterday's intervals was tough!

Strength w/ 60 sec rest
Incline DB Press
8/8/8 - 37's
One Arm Row
8/8/8 - 45#
***attempted 40's on the press, but wasn't happening, felt like I had no control, so much easier w/ a barbell

Circuit C- 10 minutes
Romanian Deadlift - 95# w/
Swiss Ball Crunch
Did alternating sets of 12 completed 6 1/2 rounds

Circuit D- 10 mintues
Step Ups - 20# w/
DB Swing - 26#
Did alternating sets of 12, completed 5 sets
***Swings were interesting never done them before, 26# felt pretty easy but didn't want to injury myself first time, seems pretty easy to do on that move.

Interval B
w/u 3 min, 3 rounds 120 sec max intensity, 120 easy recovery, c/d 3 min. Used Imax 3 intervals 1,2 & 4 adding power 15's & power turns to reach 2 minutes, then just did basic step, v step, turn steps etc. in between for the recovery.

Again I wanted to puke during the second circuit!

Hey Linda and all!! Sorry, I didn't get around to checking in yesterday. I rushed home did KPC, quickly cleaned up and went to DN's 8th grade graduation. She looked so grown up!!

Linda, your workouts never cease to amaze me woman!! Keep up the good work!

I was planning legs and chinups this evening, but have had a pretty nasty headache today. So may have to delay till tomorrow x(

Me again :p H/A went away. This eveing I did L&Gs and chinups. I will be feeling this tomorrow. I can not tell you when is the last time I did a strictly endurance leg w/o  I even did the floor work, well most of it ;) I will do a bit of a heavier leg w/o either Sat or Sun depending on level of DOMS :+

Chins:
Weighted-4.25# 5 sets of 5 and then did 3 sets of 3 neutral grip ones. I am pretty happy with that.

Ok, where the heck is everyone? I don't want to scare Linda off another check in if it's just me and her LOL!!

Catherine - I am beginning to think it's me. I join and the whole thing falls apart. LOL! Happy to hear the headache is gone. Nice workout and great job on the chins! The DOMS is starting to set in in the hamstrings from all the deadlifts. If my quads don't feel better tomorrow, I should be quite the picture! My sister was already laughing at me watching me waddle/limp on Tuesday!

Hey Chinsters-

Yes, I have been outside - but not in a way that I enjoy. We got hit by a tornado last Sunday. If you google Hugo MN tornado you will see what I mean. We were in the path. We are very lucky that our house is still standing. We lost about 100 trees (which probably saved our house), my truck got smashed, our deck, limb through our garage and sunroom. But, our family is ok :) I feel so bad for the little two year old that died. My DD took care of him last summer at the daycare where she worked :(

Anyway, looking forward to the road trip and getting back in to my normal routine.

Have a great day!
Joanne

Joanne - I am so sorry for all that has happened. Sounds horrible! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hey Chinsters,

Okay, quads are starting to feel better, but now hammies and traps hurt. So I am still walking funny.

For cardio this morning I used Imax 3 doing blasts & step from 6,7,8 & 9, then 5 minutes of basic step, then back to Imax 3 for step combos only, skipping combo 5, and repeating combos 6-10, for twenty minutes.

OK Linda, you are truly nuts ;) I can not imagine doing that w/o  You go girl!!

Today is my rest day. It's also a cheat night :+ I had a horribly busy day. Very stressful. So now I am having a beer and some baked ziti. Ahhhhhhhh, all is better now.

Joanne, still thinking about ya.

Briee, I know you are sort of close to Joanne. I hope you are ok!!

Marcy, are you still with us??? :)
