Default STS Strength Series with Shorter Workouts Please

I was looking into buying the complete STS Strength set but am sure I'm not the only one who just can't fit the long workouts into my busy day. One of the reasons many of us choose to workout at home is due to time constraints - we work/study, many of us have kids and/or pets to raise and a household to run and struggle to fit in "me" time during our hectic days. I mostly do timesaver premixes in whatever workout I'm doing so would love to see an STS Strength type system with shorter workouts, particularly when only a couple of body parts are worked out in each session. After having done a search for timesaver options with the current STS Strength program, it seems varying the program would reduce it's effectiveness so it should be completed as is to gain the maximum benefits (SNM's response). Since the number one reason most people don't exercise is lack of time, an STS Strength program with shorter, efficient workouts would be extremely popular. (Look at the popularity of Chalean Extreme, Supreme 90, Firm Express!) Would be great to have the workouts in sync with the music instead of music added in afterwards. Recognisable music with lyrics would be a bonus. I know it's called a workout but doesn't mean it can't be FUN!

I too would like some sort of timesaver weight routine. I am someone who really needs to do cardio 5 days/week for weight loss & it's difficult to find time to add cardio before or after doing an hour long STS workout (although I do love the results/intensity of STS!)

I would love to have a 6 day/wk weight routine in which 1 body part is worked in no more than 30 minutes. I'd also love to have more 30 min cardio workouts as well, such as more HiiT or routines similar to the 30 min cardio in 4DS or the timesaver cardio premixes in the no-name series (Drill Max, Body Max & LIC).

I'm open to a CTX 2 as it sounds like CTX is a series in which cardio and weights are done in less than an hour. The key is that it is truly all done within an hour, from beginning to end. I like the Shock cardio series in that the workouts are less than an hour & didn't mind the shorter cool-downs in order to save time.

I know that some of Cathe's other videos have workouts with these options, but of course I want something new!

Thanks so much,

Tara

Just reviving this thread to bump it up and see if anyone else is keen for a more time efficient periodization system like STS that ideally uses minimal equipment, such as just dumbbells, barbell and regular step. Lugging out and putting away all the equipment required in many workouts is a factor in whether I'll choose to do a particular workout or not since this obviously adds extra time to each workout for those of us who don't have a dedicated home gym to keep our stuff in. Many of us work out in our living rooms so have to pull out and pack away (and find storage room for) required equipment - often a workout in itself!

Hi,

I just had to jump in here. I love this brilliant idea, I think this would be awesome for those of us that love our STS but sometimes just have a tough time to get the whole workout in. It would be a great addition to Cathe's already amazing STS workouts. I know I'd buy it. Please think about this Cathe, and thank you for doing a Low Impact series. Happy dances all around!

Thanks!

Nora

I have to admit, even when retired, there just isn't enough time in the day to do every thing you want. If it is possible and beneficial to have a shorter time of doing an STS workout, then I'm all for it.
