fitting everything in...circuit, gym style, muscle endurance

Hi all! I need your opinion

Can I fit in doing 2 circuit workouts, each of the Gym Styles, and one day of Muscle Endurance a week or is this overkill? This is my projected schedule:

Monday- a Circuit workout
Tuesday- Run, Gym Style Upper body
Wednesday- Run, the other Gym Style Upper Body
Thursday- Run, Gym Style Legs
Friday- rest or Circuit (if I feel motivated)
Sat- Run, Muscle Endurance
Sun- Run

Does this seem reasonable? Is it too much lifting? Is a circuit workout really considered lifting when the weights are kept light?

Thanks for your help.

Liz,
I'm not an expert, but I think it might be too much. You probably shouldn't be working the same muscle groups in a row.

Maybe try something like this:
Monday - circuit
Tuesday - run + legs
Wednesday - run + CT
Thursday - rest
Friday - run + BSB
Saturday - run
Sunday - run + ME

Another option might be to do the GS CT and BSB timesavers all on one day for a heavy total upper body workout, then your week might look something like this:

Monday: a circuit
Tuesday: run
Wednesday: GS CT/BSB timesavers+run
Thursday: GS legs+run
Friday: run
Saturday: ME+run
Sunday: rest

That looks like a lot of running for my old joints and some rather long workouts, but at least you aren't working 2 body parts in a row.

take care
Maggie:)

This might be another option? Perhaps give it a shot

Monday: running + GS chest, shoulders, triceps
Tuesday: run/walk intervals + GS back, biceps, standing leg work
Wednesday: power/incline walk + a circuit workout (light weight)
Thursday: (active)REST
Friday: running + GS chest, shoulders, triceps
Saturday: run/walk intervals + GS back, biceps, floor leg work
Sunday: power/incline walk + ME (light weight)

** important: I think you might be doing a little too much running.
As Cathe has suggested to others, mixing up cardio
activities prevents overuse injuries and boredom.
Also, your body NEEDS a day of rest each week. Other-
wise you will burn out and run yourself down.
NOT A GOOD THING :-(

For the circuit and ME you would want to use lighter weights since you would already have worked your muscles hard with the gym-style. Again, though, the purpose of these workouts are not to lift to your greatest capacity--they are more a "toning or cardio" type workout so it should not be a huge problem. Hope this helps??
