Three D's of Falling Off the Cathe Planet

Depression:
This has been a doozy. Expected but still a doozy. Thankfully, they make a pill for that. YES!!!
Disease:
Holy cow I forgot how HORRIBLE Mono makes you feel. I wanted to curl up into a ball and wail. The body aches....ugh...It felt like I had finished Muscle Max AND Body Max 2 and was suffering from DOMS ALL.THE. TIME.
The good news though? They make a pill (or two!) for that! YEEESSS!!!
Divorce:
*deep sigh* Sadly....there is no pill for this. (RATS!) Lots of self-focus as I figure out what to do next after pretty much putting my life on hold for my husband. Do I regret being a military spouse? Regret the deployment and the stress and strain it put on the relationship?
Not a chance. I'm proud to have (and, for the time being, still wear) that banner. I regret that the man I chose is so insecure, immature and unappreciative that it has really and truly come to this. *sighs* Someone needs to come up with a pill for this.
Overall: I have been off and on the Cathe wagon depending on my "D of the Day" and, believe it or not, my body fat is down 3% to 22%! I looked in the mirror and pouted about not seeing any results and went to grab a cookie.
(Mind you, depression and divorce have KILLED my appetite. So much so that I don't usually have the caloric reserves to even get through Body Fusion without having a complete energy wipeout. This is yet another struggle to work through. Getting better one pack of ramen at time
)
Anyways, my sister is telling me that I'm really toning up and I can't see the difference....until I looked at my "BEFORE" pictures!! Wow.
Due to the dramatic change, my sister has now joined the Cathe revolution and we do Basic Step and an Add On from that DVD everyday. I usually take the heavier weights and I'm amazed at the strength I am beginning to develop. I'm also amazed that I STILL cuss at the TV during almost EVERY set of pulses... >_< This is likely my greatest reason for not attending a road trip yet! (SORRY CATHE!!!!)
Though, when I flex in the mirror and see my delicious, still sore bicep I have to say aloud:
"Man....that Cathe....I love her..."

Suza, it's so great to have you back! I still remember when Arnie says in Pumping Iron that that tight feeling you get in your skin when you are pumping your biceps to the max is just like an orgasm! I'm not quite there yet, but I enjoy a great leg press!
And swearing is half the fun - growling, moaning and snorting is the other half! Just remember to be creative with your cussing! No repeats! |

No repeats!?! >_< Morningstar that's not FAIR!! Besides, doesn't it count with the swearing is partially moan/groan/scream?
My sister will yell at me mid-rep:: "That wasn't nice!" My response: "Like I give a rat's--UGGGH!!! DAMMIT!!" *lol* |

Suza, it's so good to hear from you!! I'm so sorry to hear the rough time you've been having but I'm so glad your starting to feel a bit better to do your workouts and that you have an awesome sister by your side for support!! And what great fun to have a sister to share the Cathe revolution with!! Yahoo!!
Oh yeah, I swear at the TV too. I'm like "Are ya kidding me Cathe!!" Whilst she does her wicked giggle—or it just sounds wicked when I'm in pain and huffing and puffing and blowing a lung! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
