Well, no training yesterday afternoon. I crashed at home! All is good. This morning was all P90X: plyo and a little cardio (only the plyo version) and then back and biceps, but I didn't get much out of the lifting part. I think Cathe just pushes me way more.
Speaking of Cathe, thanks to all that I've learned from her, I've incorporated a lot of her training with my clients. For example, I have a client who used to be a Division I track and field athlete (long jump, triple jump). She's in her mid-20s and just had a baby about 3 months ago. Consequently, she's just getting back into shape. I trained her Sunday morning and she said that when she was in church Sunday night she already started to feel the soreness from our workout earlier in the day. She couldn't hold her DD any longer. When I came into work Monday morning (I work with her too), she said that when another one of our co-workers told her that I was tough (about three-to-four months ago), she didn't believe her. She said, "Laura can't possibly be tougher than my college coaches." This morning my client said that if I would have been one of the Division I track and field coaches, the entire team would have quit because of the soreness. This doesn't mean that all workouts have to be super tough, but for an almost-elite athlete to say this, I felt so good about my training. Love it!!!
Thanks for "listening". :-D And thanks to Cathe for all that she is teaching me!
