Wow, I have not blogged in a long time!

Hello everyone, I have not blogged in a long time! In January I decided to put my long distance running on the back burner and concentrate on body building using the Body For Life program. At first I tried using Cathe DVD's on weight lifting days but it just did not work for me. I then began to follow the program as it is written and got GREAT results. I say got because I had to quit due to an injury.

I was doing back lunges with 30 pounds (my 6 rep HEAVY set) and felt something...

Running Is Delicious: High Step Challenge 51 minute pre-mix

God Bless you Cathe for Pre-mixes. For me the workout has got to be 60 minutes or less. This was a good workout. I no longer have my green tubing and what I was using was to hard. I ended up not using it for the leg presses and used weights for the the other exercises that required tubing.

I would love to see more AWT type workouts from Cathe.

Running Is Delicious: I am done?

Yesterday my run was anything but delicious. It was hard, my hamstring hurt and I stopped 3 miles short of my 7 miles. I felt guilty running yesterday. I had not grocery shopped and really did not have the time for a 7 mile run. I have begun questioning needing to run long distances. I think I was actually happier and in better shape when 6 miles was my maximum distance.

I think for now my 1/2 Marathon days are done. Unless I could find one sometime in July. That would give...

Running is Delicious: Another 2 mile run with Lucky

I love my dog, and I love running with her. She was all smiles on our short two mile run today.

Tomorrow brings Pyramid Lower Body.

Running Is Delicious: 2 mile run with Lucky

Got up and could not do a Cathe DVD for abs. The boys disconnected the DVD player to hook up the x box. I did not have the time to switch the set up so I did 100 abs with my ball.

I then harnesed up Lucky for a 2 mile run. Since it was a short distance I let her determine the pace. SHE WENT FAST! I wish I would have timed it.

Maybe too fast. She threw up about 20 minutes ago. She must be sick. My poor baby.
